    Taco menu as of 5/4/2022.

2 stars for the tacos--I didn't shop inside. We decided to try this place as the truck we frequent was closed for the day and this place was recommended by my sister's coworker. The taco stand is outside but you line up inside to order at the cash register. My sis and I got 3 carnitas, 1 pastor, 4 cabeza. I'm sad to say they all tasted pretty bland--even topped with a heap of spicy salsa. The salsa is maybe the best part. It's spicy but good; has a hint of tamarind? I thought the pastor and cabeza were the best out of the 3 meats we tried. The carnitas had a weird gamey-ness to them. You also have to dress the tacos yourself (they have a DIY area on the side with salsa, onions, greens, etc.). I usually give a place a couple tries before writing them off, but I'm probably not coming back here. For the same price, I'll go back to my regular spot where the meats are seasoned and the tacos are dressed when they hand it to you.

Wow what a find ! Great restaurant in back , delicious food !! So tasty I had the Gordita with pork or tongue !

Tacos with everything on it: lengua, pastor, tripa, chorizo, cabeza, carnitas.

Nov. 20th (Friday) You pay inside the market then give your ticket order to the cook outside. Tacos are amazingly delicious. My favorite ones were tripa, cabeza, carnitas, and surprisingly chorizo. I say surprisingly because I'm not a fan of chorizo, always tasted greasy and bland everywhere I've tried it but not here. They have changed my mind. I am so glad I tried it. I also ordered lengua and al pastor, they were okay. This is my taco joint from now on. Update: Dec 1st (Tuesday) not sure what their hours are but was craving tacos again and I happened to be driving by so I turned into the lot and sadly they were closed today. Guessing they close on Tuesdays.

Here's a well kept secret that we happen to discover via recommendation from a friend. I don't think that the general public even notices that this little restaurant is in existence. It seems the locals have been keeping it to themselves, because it stays busy under the radar. When entering the forgettable strip mall that it is located in, all you see is a Mexican grocery store. This place in itself is busy. It's a cramped, yet well stocked grocery that could easily compete with larger chain grocery stores. It's that impressive! At the right side of this store is a partitioned off space that has been reserved into a taqueria. After reading the wall menu of numerous authentic Mexican food options, I ordered a shrimp tostada and my boyfriend ordered the sopas meal, which included his choice of pork and beef sopas, with the traditional Mexican rice, refried beans and salad. The man who took our order was very nice and soft spoken. You couldn't help but like his quiet and warm politeness. We sat in the small dining area and watched TV that was playing a Cinema Latino movie. A sexy comedy that was interesting to say the least. Only R rated, but fortunately, only adults were present! Ha! Ha! Soon, our freshly prepared dinners arrived. They looked and smelled so good! My tostada was piled high with shrimp, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and sliced avocados on a layer of refried beans. It was so big and heavy, I could not lift it. I had to eat most of it with a fork. It was a whole meal in itself and very delicious! (Besides looking like a work of culinary art). My boyfriend loved his food too and finished every bite. We vowed that we will be coming back here on a regular basis. Should this place remain top secret? I think not. Because now I'm blabbing it to the Yelp world!

Tacos, tacos, tacos can i get tacooooooo!! This is a carniceria store with a taco stand out front. They have all your little grocery store needs and wants, but i go here for the TACOS. The store is small and quaint, you pay for the tacos at the register, and walk outside to the cook manning the grill on wheels. The tacos are $1.75 ea. Choices: Asada Pollo Al pastor Chorizo Carnitas Lengua Cabeza *tripas $1.99 ea I have tried most, except chorizo and they have all been good! Usually alot of us from work head on over and get alot of tacos. With your tacos they will give some grilled sliced onions or even small grilled onions and grilled whole jalapeño or sometimes a a light green/whiteish colored one depending on what they have available. On the side you have your choices for toppings, the usual diced onion, cilantro, a rojo or verde salsa, and radishes and lime wedges, but the ultimate topping is the habanero pico, it has diced jalapeño and habanero, and red onion. Its the only place i have been to that has this mouth watering and mouth burning Awesomeness. When you pull up into the parking lot the store is in the middle so once you see the stand outside the smell will hit you, and lately they even have the stereo outside playing music which is cool cause now you have tacos, music and the smell of good eats in the air. Its a Fiesta at this market. Sadly though the taco stand is a hit or miss. The last i knew it was thursdays to sundays from 5pm to ?? The lastest i have gone was 730pm. But sometimes its not there. :( If you are driving in the area during these times and days give it look.

Today on a Sunday I decided to get my pedi done and afterwards I walked out and I saw this hole in the wall kind of Mexican grocery store with a taco stand outside with loads of people buying there tacos. I was like wow it must be good and the smell of the parking lot was wonderful. I gave it a try, so I went inside the grocery store and bought 2 tacos. I chose carnitas for there tacos and the total came out to $3.24. As I was observing there different kinds of meat they got spicy pork, carnitas, carne asadas, beef tongue, and tripe intestines mixed tacos. They also had this cooler with radish, chopped white yellow onions, cilantro. They also had salsa on the table along with napkins. The person dipped the tortillas inside oil and threw it on the grill then put the carnitas on top of it. Then threw on the grilled jalapeno on the side. Then I went over to the cooler and added all the good stuff on it. Of course everything that was offered. The taste of the carnitas were the best tacos I have tasted. The meat was tender and juicy and was mixed with lean and some fatty pork which made it better. The tacos was bursting with flavors with the fresh squeeze lime and the mild salsa they had. One of the best tacos I would rave about and want more till I roll out of the place. It was not dry at all. The wait was about 5 minutes which was very quick and fast like on the go. Overall I would come back to try other tacos next time especially the beef tongue and mixed intestines and the spicy pork.

Street taco are my favorite and it was seasoned well and not oily at all. I complimented the cook / cashier. It was so good, we went back the next day.

They used to be wonderful street tacos. Now with the new guy the tacos are horrible. We couldn't even finished them. The meat was stinky and overcooked. I won't be coming back to this place.

HOLY CRAP THEIR TACOS ARE GOOD. You buy the tacos inside of the store. I believe they are $1.50 per taco. They have the typical meat choices of al pastor, lengua, carne asada, adobada...etc. etc. The only two I have tried are the carne asada and adobada. DELISH. They dip the tortillas in oil and then slap it on the grill. The texture is unbelievable. The guy cooking always throws on some onions and peppers. There is salsa, key limes, onions and radishes on the side and a ton of foil so you can wrap your food up and go. Feels a whole lot like a family bbq to me...except of course with tacos instead.

Taqueria Santos Laguna on Folsom is better than Mi Tierra, plus they have more options for condiments and drinks with $1 taco Tuesdays. The market is decent here, but the restaurant is WAY over hyped! This is below average taco truck food.

been coming here for the past four years and their tacos are unforgettable! reminds me of being back home :) I'm from LA, so I was used to eating authentic Mexican food at least once a week. When I found this carneceria I was so happy and relieved cause I felt at home.

Is this a carniceria? Like where they sell meats? Or is more like a taqueria?

Both... kind of. They are a grocery store with a meat department. They also sell cooked food outside at a good cart.

There was no wait, and the high-top seating was surprisingly comfortable. Our server was welcoming and attentive, and the service was fast from start to finish. Between the great music and lively atmosphere, you can't help but want to dance while you eat! I ordered one of my favorites--the chicken sope. It was perfectly crispy on the outside while still soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicken was packed with flavor, and the rice and beans were just as delicious. The salsa that came with it was the perfect finishing touch, adding just the right amount of spice and an extra kick of flavor. My hubby ordered one of the carne asada dishes (so sorry, I forgot the name!). He said it was one of the best cuts of meat he's had at a Mexican restaurant in a long time--super tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We had such a fun night! I definitely recommend Rosa Madera--10/10 for a date night, girls' night, or any excuse to enjoy great food and an even better atmosphere.

I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something.
