We dined inside and unfortunately, had a less than stellar service experience. I ordered the camarones al queso and the food was prepared well with plenty of shrimp and cheese. After receiving our entrees the server disappeared and was not seen again. The manager on duty was spending time with one table while the other tables went pretty much ignored. I had to request my check and waited to pay. Ultimately, having to politely interrupt her from the other table to make payment. We have dined at the other location on Riverside Parkway and received great service and food. Hopefully, the Glenpool location will make a few changes in having repeat customers. read more

The quality of the food, the portions, and the service is great. This is authentic, traditional Mexican food. Little to no seasoning/spice on anything. The food is a black hole for flavor. My wife emptied the salsa bowls on her salad. It was still unresponsive in taste. It could not be revived. Even a liberal sprinkling of salt and pepper disappeared in to the flavor vacuum. I had the Carnitas with chili Verde, rice and a side of charro beans. The texture of the food was the only differentiating feature between bites of beans, rice and the pork chili Verde. Very little spice. The portion of pork was very generous. A half pound or better. There were group of Hispanic workers seated at a string of tables in the center of the restaurant, enjoying lunch when we entered. They soon left and seven more came in to dine. The restaurant is well liked by folks that know, and appreciate authentic traditional Mexican food. If your preference is very mildly seasoned Mexican food you will be happy here. As I stated in the beginning of this review, the quality of the food, the portions, and the service is great. I need spice. Even though I didn't care for it, a 4-star overall rating is a fair representation for this version of Mexican food, in this clean little restaurant. read more

i would've liked to enjoy my experience here but the server staff seems to be completely unorganized or blatantly neglectful. there's less than 20 people in here total (it's not a big restaurant at all) and they seem to be totally lost, doing repetitive tasks for one large party, while neglecting the rest of the restaurant. i also ordered a spicy margarita, but to my surprise, it isn't spicy at all. lastly, the chips are stale. i've ordered food from here to-go before that i really enjoyed so it's disheartening to receive such poor service. maybe they'll get it right next time! read more

My husband and I love taking road trips and trying New Mexican restaurants. We found this gem on Yelp and decided to try it! Service was excellent! Restaurant was super clean and decor was modern! Bathroom was super clean and nice! Food was on point delicious! We had the queso w/Chorizo for an appetizer. We shared the Molcajete a mixture of chicken, shrimp & steak. Very tasty! Dessert we had flan. Delicious! Set up was good chips and salsa and some kind of white sauce with a nice kick! Overall experience was 5 stars!! Me and my family go to this restaurant almost every two weeks. It's a hit for all of us! You wouldn't think much of a place hidden in a dark shopping center but it doesn't disappoint! A pre-warning that they are very busy on weekends so plan when to try it out wisely. I personally always order the steak and chicken fajitas and I doubt I'll order anything else soon. The fajitas come out wonderfully steaming and you're given delicious warm tortillas. The salsa is a must-have on any taco. Has to be some of my favorite queso ever. The white queso is just thin enough jt doesn't taste thick, but still you can get enough on your chip to enjoy this amazing sauce. You won't regret a Friday night out here! read more

Food and portion size has been good in the past. Customer service is hit or miss. Very busy for the small location. 1 staff running front, floor, and back. Offered for others to pass to be seated while I waited to place to go order. Then manager was so busy waiting and busing tables that they couldn't manage the line of people waiting at front. No other staff around but kitchen and the manager. Waited for 20 minutes and end up leaving and going elsewhere. Great place if you have time to wait. Will consider returning in the future but won't order again on weekend when staffing unstable. read more

Mi Tierra Cocina has finally opened! We've been keeping up to date as the opening day drew nearer. We ordered a steak and cheese burrito, chorizo pollo & enchiladas chipotle. Everything was fresh and delicious. We also ordered queso which was amazing, maybe just a tad bit spicier than I'm used to. They are only doing to-go orders right now but I called in dinner on Friday at about 5:15 and they had my entire order ready by the time I got there, about 15 minutes after I called. The employees are so friendly. I highly recommend everyone try this place! read more

Small restaurant but a hidden gem in Glenpool. We have been enjoying their food and drink since they first opened. Jasper friendly and efficient staff. Everybody is moving full speed all the time. Very hopeful about this place. I'm not going to say anything bad about it because everything was tasty enough especially after Christmas dinner. Our street tacos were missing cilantro and onion and their tamales were so good that they did not need the chili sauce and hamburger meat a top. I would much rather just get tamales wrapped in the husks. The salsa was fantastic and the chips were perfectly cooked and not stale and lots of them. Loved the Mucho Caliente salsa. I do wish the steak on the tacos was chopped up a bit more especially for the street tacos. Will try again. Glad it's so close. It is nice to see a new local business here in Glenpool. This location is clean and well designed for the space. The food comes fast and warm. The prices are good for the value. Me and my family have dined in and also carried out. Both were good experiences. The staff and level of service is a hit or miss based on the weight staff that you get. I noticed that this place had opened the other day and went in and grabbed a menu. Tonight, I remembered I'd grabbed the menu, so we ordered takeout. It was incredible. My wife actually teared up a little when she started eating. She said, "I haven't had food this good since before COVID hit". She wasn't exaggerating, it really was THAT incredible. Her Tacos del Mar with Tilapia had amazing flavor and was perfect.. I only got one bite because she wouldn't share any more. My Chile Verde had a little heat and the carnitas was tender. I managed to steal a bite of my kids' Camarones al Queso and El Hawainao, both were fantastic. Can't recommend this place highly enough! So glad to have them anywhere in the Tulsa area, much less right down the road from us. They're open for what looked like well-spaced dining and takeout. The food was perfectly cooked, and they packaged the takeout in foil entree containers instead of styrofoam, which seemed to travel much better. I can't imagine how scary it is for them to *open* a restaurant in the middle of COVID, but I'm so glad they did. read more

My DH & son love the charred dishes, large portions - (El Molcajete). Salsa, guacamole, chorizo queso and chips are always great. I am gluten free and they always make sure my meals are gf. The enchiladas, tacos and grilled steaks are my favorites. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! My service dog and I Were asked to leave! Apparently our waitress has had no education about service animals... the worst thing was we were asked to leave though the restaurant was empty and we've been here on a weekly basis and the manager couldn't even be bothered to come talk to me after "us" being " regulars" for a very long time! Our regular waitress and waiter know us immediately upon entrance and know my regular order! I ended up in a Spanish/ English argument with them ... still with no Management intervention! I will never come back and have already filed a complaint with the Department of Justice who over sees the ADA act! Apparently everyone here needs some education! My dog was laying down and not bothering ANYONE when the dumbass waitress/uneducated waitress asked us to leave after bringing my food out! I asked for the manager 3x times and finally gave up since he couldn't be bothered to come out of his office! I'm beyond disappointed right know, though I come here at least a few times a week! I WILL NEVER BE BACKl! What a bunch of uneducated idiots! Y'all better get it together, and I hope the 55k fine from the DOJ for violating the ADA act gets your attention!
