I'm an absolute sucker for good mexican food and always try to keep an eye out for a new, good place. I've tried, what feels like, every mexican restaurant in the northern Colorado area, and most are unbelievably bland. What I love about this restaurant is that it is owned and ran by hispanics. They don't have to try too hard to make their food delicious, it just comes naturally. Everything tastes homemade. Their chips and salsa are even home made. You can hear them making them right there. They have amazing al pastor. It's marinated perfectly! And their tortas are mouthwatering. If I could eat here everyday, believe me, I would! You will not regret eating here!

If I come back to Windsor or passing through... this place will be my breakfast burrito to go. I love Chorizo burritos and this is on my top 3

This time, I had dinner with family and friends downstairs. The walls are adorned with Mexican wrestling posters and the tables circle around a huge bar backed by an impressive wall of tequilas and mezcals. Even the front entrance showcases Mexican distillates. The drink menu is creative, with lots of fresh fruit and thoughtful specialties, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They also offer a vast selection of tequilas and mezcals sourced by the owners. I especially appreciated that the mezcals are served in traditional gourd cups, a jicara. The food menu is like a upscale taco shop, with innovative appetizers and tacos rather than the usual predictable options, like enchiladas in red sauce. I really like the California burrito and the Nashville taco, but all of the food was enjoyed. They also have a great selection of salsas.

She gave us water and after another 12 minutes didn't return to take our order. I had to go to the bar and ask for our server, as I was speaking to the young man, our server was sitting a few feet behind the bar eating! A few minutes later another server came and took our order. It was not busy at all... We went on a Wednesday at 2:30 in the afternoon. Luckily we filled up on the chips and salsa because it took another 20 minutes for a couple tacos and a side of beans to arrive. If I could give -0, I would.

Two stars rating is the best I can give this place. Whereas I don't even want to waste my words or…read moretime to write a review about this place, I somehow feel compelled to do so. Here it is. I was between my side hustle shifts where I needed to eat something quickly. As this place was literally right next to where I was at (after my shift) I had no choice but to het me something from here. I wanted something light so I went with the Shredded Chicken Salad. The price wasn't bad at $8.99. You can't find a bowl of Mexican salad at this price anywhere nowadays so I was like what the hiccup. I stood in line of about 10 people (ahead of me) but surprisingly the line moved pretty quickly (fortunately.) The lady who took my order was friendly and welcoming. At least the service is not bad here. What surprised me more was the fact that my salad came out from the kitchen lighting fast! I probably only waited 2 minutes at the most. A young man who handed me my food was also nice. The restaurant was clean (which I took a note of.) It's not like I walked around to investigate its cleanliness but I could clearly see the bar seating area that didn't have any dirtiness ir anything. Once I got my salad, I rushed backwards to my car and started eating the food. And yep, I got what I paid for ($8.99). The salad was barely a decent one. The lettuce tasted old. The shredded chicken was also low quality kind. I don't believe in wasting food so I ate 80% of it before I decided that the rest should be discarded (the brown looking juice that came out from the old lettuce at the bottom truly grossed me out.) Well, like I said, I just needed something quick as I was on time crunch. The money I wasted on this gross food was only $9 so that's not bad. I'm still giving this place 2 stars though because of the nice service. The end....

The bean dip was decent. The waitress first brought a side plate filled with diced jalapeños, tomatoes, onion, cilantro and avocados. Shortly after the shrimp cocktail with saltines arrived. It had plenty of saltines on the plate thankfully. The goblet was on the smaller side and was filled to the rim with sauce. OK I guess I gotta dig in the make room for the condiments. For those of you who don't know the sauce is usually a Clamato mix and super flavorful. This I swear, tasted like the liquid from a can of whole tomatoes. Or possibly ketchup water but I think the former. There were 8 boiled shrimp hiding in this $23 dish. I was brought more water but the waitress never came back and asked how my meal was. I was starved and rushed so I plowed through this disappointing dish. I drive by this place regularly and since it was a Monday I was denied my usual Charcoal Broiler lunch in FTC as they are closed. People around me were happily eating so I would say just avoid the shrimp cocktail at all cost.
