Me and the family patronize this place a couple of times for brunch and if I tell you, the food is exceptionally good. The weight is not that long for a small to medium size party, but they do try to accommodate no matter how large their party are the prices could be a little medium too high, but it's worth the wait. Hold up!!! Why have I never been here before!!!?! This place was G-O-O-D good! You walk up and order at the counter. It is very causal and laid-back. The servers were nice and friendly. We decided to share the chicken fried chicken and chose mashed potatoes and green beans as our side. The lady taking our order asked if we wanted it cut in half. We said that would be great!! The dish was served to us on two different plates, both with HUGE portions of chicken friend chicken and both with their regular portions of sides. I was shocked and so pleased! We weren't even charged extra! I could tell the chicken was cut in half, so I can't imagine eating an entire one by myself. Now to the actual flavor...amazing!! Just trust me. Everything was AMAZING. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, juicy, with a nice crunch exterior. There weren't any gross fatty pieces, and the gravy on top was delish. The jalapeños weren't spicy, but gave it a great flavor nonetheless. I liked our sides equally as much. The potatoes were creamy and fluffy and the green beans were cooked perfectly. The beans had a slight bit of meat mixed in which added a nice subtle flavor. We cleaned our plates!!! People also aren't lying about even the soft serve being amazing here. Normally it's just ehh. i live pretty close to Mia's table but i only visited for the first time last week with a friend. I'm very salty i haven't been coming here sooner. I didn't realize it initially but this is a fast casual restaurant. No waiter service, you order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to place on your table (Panera bread style). Then someone comes around when your food is ready. They also have people bussing tables quickly since most tables turn over fast. I absolutely loved their big outdoor patio. The trees with christmas lights are very nice and the tables are widely space (covid-friendly). The food selection, from a healthy standpoint, hits the entire range. If you want chicken fried steak, go for it. but if you are feeling healthy and want a grilled salmon salad, they have that too! There is a decent selection of alcohol as well; wines, local beer on tap, and some frozen drinks as well. I went for the Karbach Crawford Bock (a safe choice). Since it was my first time, i had to try the chicken fried chicken. It was moderately busy so we probably waited about 15 minutes or so for our food to come out, but i didn't mind. For my two sides i picked the cole slaw and the sweet potato fries. but first. the chicken. it is so delicious and crispy. i got the sauce on the side because i like to eat slowly and didn't want soggy breading. I know now why everyone raves over that jalapeño gravy. SO TASTY. in case you are wondering, it is not spicy at all, it just has the wonderful flavor of jalepenos and southern style gravy. the sides were great too, the cole slaw was a refreshing break from the chicken & gravy. the sweet potato fries were meaty on the inside and crispy on the outside. this is by no means a fancy restaurant, but if you want to have a few beers outside and eat some good food. this is your place. read more

I could tell by how crowded the parking lot was, this would be a good choice! Nice & easy family style restaurant. Extremely convenient as the line moved quickly to order your food at the counter, and take your seat at a table. No need to wait around for a waiter to serve you. Pretty clean, considering the traffic & crowds that comes through this restaurant, and the staff was kind, helpful, & attentive. The drink station is open to the public with plenty of beverage options & additions (lemons, limes, etc). And not to forget the free ice cream station for the kiddies, also, self serve! First & only time I've ever seen anything like that. Overall, the food was great: well seasoned with perfect portions. Although the Mac & cheese was just okay, everything else was delicious. I can't believe I haven't been here sooner with my kiddos. This is a very family friendly place with great food and amenities. First of all, the men's restroom has a changing table. YESSSSS! Why don't more men's restrooms have changing tables? But that's a rant for another day. Secondly, there's free soft serve ice cream available after your meal. And it's gooood. The cones are fresh and the tests are available to the entire family. I had the hamburger and thought it was good but my husband's CFS was the showstopper here. The mashed potatoes and gravy are absolutely excellent. They make the chocolate milk for your kid by hand with Hershey's syrup. Yummmm. The restrooms were clean and again, kid friendly. Been wanting to try out Mia's Table for a minute. The parking situation is kinda sucky. Their parking lot probably only has space for 30 cars, if that. I think you can park on the street though which isn't bad. I was so excited to try the food! I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos with chips and queso. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak with Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, creamed corn and potato salad. We also ordered banana pudding. The cashier was so kind, helpful, and patient with us. Considering it was our first time there, we were overwhelmed. She ended up bringing two sides of banana pudding to our table because she thought we probably wouldn't share. The food was great. Everything was delicious, especially the lemonade! Mia's Table kinda reminded me of an upscale Luby's. I've heard they're building one in Spring Branch so I'm excited about that. read more

This review is solely in regards to the banana pudding. I haven't actually tried anything else yet. For the price, I do give it that it is a good deal. However, it looked more promising than how it tasted. I was searching for banana and also wafers within the pudding. There was a nice amount sprinkled on top but there was more on top than within the dessert. As for the pudding, it could have benefited from a little more flavor. Texture was okay but could have benefited from some sliced almonds or something crunchy sprinkled on top to cut through all the smoothness. But----- what is with the 6 spaces for pick up that are never filled? More than that!! The staff chases people down to move their cars - says they are for Door Dash! I took a couple's side as I was leaving the other day after 1:00PM! They rudely insisted they leave the space, were taking down the license number of a a car parked in one of the spaces. The rest were empty. He said he would eat somewhere else and I agree. I get it- takeout is important but this mean attitude is nuts. First of all, I paid for food before GETTING MY FOOD on top of paying for something that we did really didn't eat or didn't enjoy.... We're gonna start there. I ordered the queso with the ground meat, pico , and a few other things added. I went to my table 10 minutes later the food had came out and then I realize that in the process of eating and talking that may NOT have my toppings or the meat. SMH ! Keep in mind that while I was eating my queso, my chip BROKE off inside the queso, but I never dug the BROKEN chip out of the queso !!! So in the mist of me walking to the front counter to let them know that I never received the meat or the toppings I believe a manager or either a front and supervisor STOPPED me and ASKED IF HE COULD ASSIST ME... I replied " yes, sir I just realized after eating a few chips that I didn't have my meat in my queso " and he said OK. We will take care of that for you. I then asked him " do you know if they're gonna give me a brand new queso or are you bringing the same one out ??? " He said no ma'am, it will be a BRAND NEW queso, which was a lie !!! Literally right before I got ready to sit down in my chair. He was bringing a new one so He say !!!! I think to him, even though the cheese wasn't as hot as I expected so begin to eat two chips with a queso by the time I got to the chip chip that was inside the case that was supposed to be replaced not giving back to me !!! Shaking my head now it's not a BIG deal because it was " my actual queso " but it the same time don't go around LYING to your customerS telling THEM that it's being replaced and really is NOT. I knew by the temperature that it hadn't been replaced. Then I immediately lost my appetite after and LEFT ! SMH ! Just RIDICULOUS!!! This place is solid. Took the kiddos for lunch when they did not have school. They enjoyed their meals - a little pricey, but not unexpected. The food came pretty quickly. So, no complaints there. I think they serve good comfort food. They also enjoyed free soft-serve afterwards. Why a four instead of a five? It was good and enjoyable, not great. With a name like "Mia's Table," I was expecting a ritzier place. However, I am happy to find a no-frills environment with awesome food. I will almost always choose quality of food over ambience, with very few exceptions. You order at the counter, take a pager, and they bring the food to your table. They have a nice variety of teas and fountain drinks, for your self-serve enjoyment. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty dang good. Sweet potato fries were yummy, as all sweet potato fries are, but overall pretty standard. Southern fried chicken was enormous and also delish, with spicy gravy and wonderfully crisp breading. Black eyed peas were tasty with bacon bits mixed in them. Mashed potatoes were also good. Ambience is casual, with plenty of seating (even with half of the tables taped off), but also nicely decorated with a variety of kitschy/antique kitchen items. I would have liked to sit outside, but it was a typical armpit of a day out. I'll definitely be returning for a delicious lunch, and hopefully dine al fresco! read more
