It was quite crowded at lunch, I'm parking was a bit of a challenge on the day I went. My friend was already there so they directed me to his table when I arrived. Our server promptly came to the table to take my drink order and tell me about the special that was not on the menu. I ordered the off menu chicken Caesar wrap with a side of fries. It was really delicious - - I love when they actually put their wrap on the grill to make it crispy on the outside. The fries were quite good - - the kind that you can keep eating as they get cold. My friend got a bowl, but I have no idea what kind. He seem to enjoy it. This place has a nice, modern atmosphere and a great dining patio outback. There is a little shop with very cool gift items and a little bakery. This place has been a great addition to the downtown Chandler dining scene. If you haven't gone, put it on your list!

Nestled in historic downtown Chandler, in the narrow sliver of Boston Street, the speak-easy themed cocktail bar and restaurant is located inside the former home of the Chandler Arizonan, the city's original hometown newspaper since 1912. With exposed brick walls and rich wood finishes, the historic site provides an upscale, contemporary urban and industrial-chic setting. After easily finding parking in walking distance from the entrance, we arrived shortly before midnight of the 7th. They were closing soon, but we had enough time to order a round of craftly-made cocktails and beers to down quickly. It helps when your friend knows the bartender. Enter smiley face emoji here. THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN is credited for the first place that I ever tried a CLOVER CLUB, a pink, frothy cocktail with fruity, citrusy, velvety qualities. I was instantly tickled pink, literally, by the nostalgic feel of the elegant concoction, topped with artfully designed egg white foam and served in a vintage-style champagne glass. What a beauty of a drink with a touch of class and sophistication! Almost made me want to throw on a flapper dress and dance the Charleston...until I realized the need to balance from the powerful punch in the serious drink. Fancy, stiff cocktails served at THE BRICKYARD DOWNTWON fo shizz. No complaints about that here! It's been a while since I visited Arizona. Maybe it's time to return. If/when I do, I will mos def drop by THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN again!

We ordered multiple different style and flavor old fashions and the menu will indicate if the it comes with an add on like cookie or bacon with a little icon. The cookies were all fantastic! The bacon was tasty but a little bit soggy and not crispy for my taste. But the fat and savor of the bacon really works well with the sweet old fashioned choices. The sweet cookie works well with the less sweet and more tart options. It's pretty smart. Our server, Hanna was very attentive with food, drinks and waters and also very upbeat. Definitely not a dull place to get a drink at all. People seemed to be having a good time and enjoying the cozy feel of the bar. I would recommend this place if you're in downtown Chandler for cocktails and drinks and you don't want to stand all night and prefer to sit and chat.

I did not order any food, but noticed their offerings were limited mostly to snacks rather than proper entrees. The decor and ambiance felt like it was wanting to be a dance club, but with the stunning omission of a dance floor. Add in a selfie station, and it feels like a place to stop by after a few drinks to take some pics for the socials before moving on to another bar with food or room to dance. Overall I feel like they are one renovation away from being a decent dance club, but as they are now I can't really recommend them.
