Because of the great reviews tried Miceli for their pizza. Staff was very friendly and as we waited for a new plain pie cooked had a garlic knot. It was fantastic-garlicky, nice crisp outside crust but tender inside! 4 stars for this and our hopes soared for the pizza. Piping hot slices came out, a bit undercooked that it couldn't really keep together and the thin crust had no crunch. Other than that the flavor of the sauce was good. If I could give no stars I would & that is just for hospitality. Sadly, the food barely makes up for it. The staff yells and screams through out the kitchen expecting those thin doors to hide the noise of tossing pans. The food comes out cold or late when all you want to do is eat, it's the worst. I am giving this place a second chance after they got busted years ago in the news but it's still the same. This is a great local Pizzeria. I am for one a pizza enthusiast and as you guys know I never turn down a good slice of Pizza. Now, I work over in West Babylon, and I don't really know the area too well. When lunch time hit I was going to go to another pizzeria in my hometown, but I figured let me pop open Yelp and see what Pizza is good around here. The second I opened Yelp, I saw the photo of the Buffalo chicken pizza and wow did it look good. I immediately made my decision to go and eat here at lunch. The great thing about it is that it was only a whopping 3 minute drive away from my office! Once I got there they had a parking lot that is pretty big that you can actually go in and park at. Now once inside the food smelled absolutely amazing! The pizza that I saw on Yelp looked so great in person! I ordered 2 buffalo chicken slices and the man behind the counter was an absolute joy to me! Really awesome customer service! After they handed me my slice I noticed they put sesame seeds on the crust and my mouth was watering! Probably one of the most varied selection of slices on the island, including salad style pizza, thick slices and sicilian/grandma varieties. The sesame seed crust on some of the slices offers a surprisingly good mouth feel and texture -- don't knock it til you try it. I always get it on a pie when I place an order. Recommend the vodka sauce slice, buffalo chicken and the Caesar salad slice. Rolls and pinwheels are pretty good as well. I don't know what is going on with this place. When we first moved here 1 year ago we tried the pizza and it was awesome! We were so excited to have a great pizza place down the road. We ordered frequently. Then, after a few months, they closed temporarily, and when they reopened, their pizza wasn't nearly as good! Soggy, crust was stale, etc. After giving them another chance, pizza still sucked. We didnt order for months, fast forward 3-4 months - we decided to try again. Got chicken parm sandwiches and they were awesome! Then 2 weeks later (this past Saturday) we ordered chicken parm again and it was seriously disgusting. I couldn't finish. Bread was soggy, the chicken was chewy like rubber I was scared to eat it. I don't know what's going on, but this place has been too inconsistent for me to want to order from here again and waste my money. Very sad! read more

This place is unbelievable. We got stuck with our car on the Southern State and limped off at exit 38 and got stuck in the middle of a deserted, pitch black park. When they asked for our address, I told them we were stranded in the park and there were no lights and expected them to slam the phone down us like it was a prank or a setup for their driver to get mugged. Instead, the driver came and looked for us in the darkness at 10:30 pm at night. I gave him a nice tip and was extemely grateful. We have been coming here for years, even got my family to order from here. We always come back but should learn that the customer service we received to night was the straw that broke the camels back.. I always order a salad with no onions and ask for fresh mozzarella added... 99.9% their is always onions on the salad or not so fresh mozzarella ... I was referred to Miceli's by a friend (local) in the West Babylon area. Living in the Baltimore area the pizza scale ranges from ok to good, but the pizza in the NYC region is "GREAT". I stopped by Miceli's for a quick slice and the pizza was delicious. Miceli's offers a variety of pizza, from thick crust options, to classic thin crust margarita, to unique options like buffalo chicken, fiesta, and ala vodka pizza. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and my friend chose the ala vodka slice. Evaluation: Crust well seasoned with crispy (outside) and soft (inside) texture. Sauce was nothing like what is sold at your local grocery store. The homemade sauce was well flavored (garlic, italian herbs). My favorite part of pizza, the chesse was in my term "on point', good flavor and the right amount of cheese to make you fold your slice. Overall Miceli's gets a BOMB dot COM rating. When I come back to the West Babylon area I am definitely making a stop at Miceli's. read more

Yelp should give us the option of giving no star. I've given this place chance after chance. No more for me. The last time I ordered from here, I got two pepperoni slices and a chicken bacon ranch salad. The guy on the phone told me 20 minutes. I get there in 30 minutes. Food of course isn't ready. I had to wait another 35 minutes before my food was ready. This isn't the first time that this is happened either. Their food is also never consistent. I am sorry to give such a low rating, but I have never received such poor service, and have never seen such disregard for the customer as I did at this pizzeria. After waiting nearly an hour for my pies, I called just to make sure they had the correct address. I was then told that my pies were leaving in 5-10 minutes (I am literally 1 minute from the pizzeria by car). After a half an hour goes by I call to see what is causing the delay. (Clearly the pizza didn't leave in 5-10 minutes) I was then told that they were making a lot of pizzas tonight, and that the ones I ordered are leaving now. After 10-15 minutes, (I guess the pizzas didn't leave when they said, again) I try to call but their phone line was giving me issues, line busy, line disconnect etc,. As I am calling to cancel my order, our pizza shows up. Only because I didn't want to give the delivery boy a hard time, I took the pizzas, and chose not to cancel the order. I called after to express how dissatisfied I was with their service, which prompted no response or apology regarding the complete lack of time management and customer service. (Keep in mind, I remain very calm when speaking on the phone. I was not acting irate or nasty to them, but still they showed no concern whatsoever for my concern as their customer, regardless of my demeanor.) I would recommend: Do not support businesses that do not promote good business practices. If you want to be taken care of, and treated as a valued customer, go elsewhere. read more

CELIACS AVOID! They have gluten-free pizza on their menu. I tried the BBQ chicken pizza and got sick. The chef insisted it was gluten-free, so I assume they are not careful about cross-contamination (I know, I should have asked, but imo if you're advertising gluten-free, you shouldn't have to add 'Celiac friendly'). I've had Celiac for 30 years and I can tell the difference between gluten-sick and other sick, and this was definitely gluten. It DID taste delicious, so if you're not Celiac, have at it. Miceli Brothers is an old Italian family restaurant on a hidden corner. They are open all 7 days and serve delicious pizza at the counter and/or enjoy other meals in their beautiful dinning room. Food is OK - but more surprising is what we experienced there yesterday. It was raining like crazy. We ordered and paid when my daughter had to go retrieve my grandson's cup from the car. When she came back in the floor was wet causing her to slip and fall knocking over some spices on a table. She hurt her shoulder. Being single I order out five nights a week. I work long hours in my own business. I was ordering here at least 3 nights out of the week. At first the food was awesome but it went down hill real quick!!!! The inconsistency in the cooking of my dinners was unacceptable. One night my baked ziti would have Ricotta in it and the next night NONE!!! Sometimes it was baked some nights not. Many nights my dinners were BURNT! Many nights my dinners were dry. You would think a customer that orders at least 3 nights a week they send a free bottle of soda once in awhile......NOT MICELI BROTHERS. So they lost a good customer. BTW I don't drink soda.
