I had spoken with someone on the phone about their used foresters and was very excited to check them out. As it was a Saturday, my husband and I weren't dressed to the nines (I mean it's a Subaru dealership), jeans and t-shirts seem completely acceptable. I told them I'd be paying in cash and felt a definite "pretty woman" vibe that they didn't think we had the money or negotiating skills. These guys are rude snakes. The car I was interested in needed new tires, had a lot of miles for being a 2018 and I wanted some kind of warranty. During our negotiations, we were brought a note from a man that I'm assuming is upper management (who couldn't step out of his glass office 20 feet away to actually talk to us) and that note said "ok you win" and then had their offer. It was extremely off-putting. I mean come on, step out of your office and talk to me because sending a passive aggressive note written in sharpie wasn't exactly screaming professional. Mind you there were NO OTHER CUSTOMERS there the entire time we were there. They couldn't budge on what we wanted. In the end, it came down to a $700 difference with no tires or warranty and yep we walked. We went to lithia in Reno which was crazy busy, but we found the perfect car for the price we wanted and everything else. And on top of that, we had wonderful and professional service for the entire process. Definitely would avoid this place. read more

Pretty terrible experience. I signed a loan for an older (I think 2007) Subaru outback LL bean addition and was super excited about it, brought my mechanic by to take a look. My mechanic test drove it and did not advise purchasing that car. Even worse the car didn't pass smog the first time around. I told them I didn't feel comfortable buying a car that didn't pass and they said since I already signed the loan I needed to stick with the car because they were sure it would pass the next time around. They assured me it didn't pass because it just needed to be driven "really hard." After speaking with the GM he allowed me to buy a different car. There wasn't much for used cars at the time so I went with a 2013 outback. The GM walked into the office and quoted me $28,000. Asked if he could do better, he said $26,000. We signed the papers and left. The next day my friend forwarded me a link to the Michael Hohl website. They listed my exact car, vin number and all for $24,000. $4,000 less than the original price he quoted me. I also purchased the two year warranty. They assured I can remove it and obtain a refund at any time before 100,000 miles or two years. I called three times, left messages and still have not heard back from their finance department. This is the worst experience that I have trying to purchase a vehicle. Here is what happened. I had an appointment and was trying to see what is the difference between Forester 2021 and 2020. I was talking to the salesman named Parker. Parker was being nice and polite all the process. So like what we all do here with the dealer. They give you the price and go back and ask their manager. Once again, Parker was being nice, he asked the manager for me and the manager came. This manager did not give me his name so I will describe what he looks like. He is a big guy, about 6 feet height, with mustache, tanned skin, maybe around 300 lbs. So he came in and said that he cannot give me the price that I asked for. I can totally understand that, who is not there talking to a dealer to negotiate? At the same time, my family called me because I tried to call them but they didn't pick up. I asked this manager if I can pick up the phone for a second and he said yes. I picked up the phone and told them I'm at the dealership and I will see if I can buy one today. After 1 or 2 minutes I hung off the phone and I raised my budget and tried to negotiate with him for the first time. What he did is that he gave me a scornful reply "NO" with a loud voice and he just took off and left me ignored without knowing what happened. I was there by myself for a while and did not know what to do. So I went look for Parker and ask if that is his manager and was he always like that, treating a customer like being rude and irresponsible. I totally understand that you may think that is part of their strategy, but the situation is not like that. I talked with Parker and asked for the manager's name and name card. He and the other manager would not tell me. They even rejected me for asking for the name card. I told them that this mustache guy could have negotiated with me instead of using that kind of attitude. And this mustache manager started like "He is yelling at me" which I am very surprised because me and Parker were talking politely the whole time, and I did not yell. He said that because I told him that he should not treat me like that. He even said "He was talking in another language on the phone" to another guy. EXCUSE ME?????!!!!!! I asked him if I could pick up the phone and he said yes and all I did was talk to my family for maybe 2 minutes! At that time, in that situation, there is no way that I can say anything bad about anyone. Nothing to do with this manager! Where did that come from????? I hate to assume it this way, BUT IS THIS BEING RACIST? WHY? He is trying to make others think that he did nothing wrong by saying I spoke another language to my family??????? This is really wrong. I said nothing bad about them. Not even a bad word, NOTHING!!!! OK, then the other manager came trying to defend him. This manager is about 40 or 50 years old with a gray stubble beard, about 5''6' height, I think he smokes because he wasn't wearing a mask and I could smell that. I asked him if I could have the mustache manager's name card. He is the one who rejected me and tried to threaten me by calling a cop, trying to ask me to leave. I told them I would leave if I had the name card, but they kept rejecting me on that. This gray stubble beard manager said that he apologized for this mustache manager for not having a good attitude talking to me. But THEN, he said "I think you are not educated, where did you get that number from???". REALLY?????? First of all, how educated does anyone have to be to buy a car? Secondly, what is the problem giving them the price that I was trying to purchase? I wasn't even trying to ask for a 20% off. It is almost the end of the month and it is a 2020's car instead of a new one. I was trying to negotiate and they brought it up to my education and even language? I thought we are all human and we are always talking about human rights??? I have do idea where did that thought or "discrimination" came from. What about my education, I have my master degree and so what? I asked the gray beard manager "What school did you go to? why is there anything to do with "not educated"?". And then he replied,"That is irrelevant". EXCUSE ME? then why did you say that to me? The rest is that I asked for the name card and they would not and tried to threaten me by calling the police. I left at the end. Still feeling this is unacceptable. This is the most horrible experience that I ever had. I hope whoever read this can be aware of what happened to me may also happen to you. Read comments before you leave. I still want to know what their names are. I hope you will understand that I am not lying. All I said and the words are true. And this is what happened today on 10/23/2020. I cannot believe that there is really someone trying to humiliate someone by being able to speak another language to your family and even question if you are educated or not when you are trying to buy a car. Was so happy he got APPROVED for his VERY FIRST buy and they had the car he wanted! They had it out near the front doors outside. Took all day to get it but he was very EXCITED to take his dream car home to show his family. My first ride in the back seat I felt GRINDING vibration below my feet and smell of a BURNING smell. I was afraid to tell him but when I did his smile came off his face. Took it back to the dealership they said they fixed it. AGIAN he was glad to have his car back and to get back to work. AGAIN something went wrong. He started getting frustrated didn't want to take it back but needed to . AGAIN he gets it back a month later he's told he needs a NEW ENGINE. And the warranty isn't going to cover cause it's been 6 months to a year. I guess before they had put a USED ENGINE this time it's a new one. This car was RUN DOWN from the previous owners and the windshield shows it had tiny tiny indents from rocks hitting all over the window. The car is pretty and clean but has had MAJOR PROBLEMS from the time he drove off the lot. Since they put these car lots on the main drag in Carson I thought Subaru was an honest respectable and reliable first choice. Was thinking of doing small claims to get every penny that was spent On car payments because the car was NOT RELIABLE at all even LOST JOB wasn't able to get to and back from work. When you buy a car you expect it to be in TIP-TOP shape especially from a known dealership that advertises how great they are. I know salesmen want that commission but come on be honest about someone's huge purchase. If it's a LEMON don't sell it to someone to get you paid that's a dirt ball thing to do. Came in for service staff was very friendly, gave me a loner to use estimate time for repair was 3.5 hours after waiting 4 hours asked how much longer. Aparently car had been ready a long time ago no one bothered to let me know, lied said they called no missed calls no message, didn't wash the car had to ask this is a service they always offer. Well, I want to start out but saying I love Michael Hohl Subaru! I've purchased 2 Outbacks from them and both times were a hassle-free, pleasant experience. We used to be a Honda family (go figure), but all of a sudden, we transitioned to Subarus. My older brother was the first to purchase a Subaru and he went to Lithia, then my younger brother followed soon after, also purchasing from Lithia. They didn't say they had a bad experience, but they also didn't say it was top-notch. This is why I decided to look into Michael Hohl. They also had the exact Outback that I wanted, so this was another reason why I decided to drive up to Carson. My first purchase was with Nick. He is honest and answered all our questions. Plus, he has a great sense of humor so the entire time we were there, we were fully entertained. To add to that, we drove home with a brand new Outback. I traded-in this Outback a few years later and Rob helped us with this process. I would have come to see Nick again but at this time, he was promoted as the Sales Manager. Nick was still there to help through the process but Rob took good care of us as well. Today, I got my first service done as part of my Michael Hohl Maintenance Program. Service was fast and I was greeted multiple times by different people in the building. I was in and out in 30 minutes and the whole experience was easy-peezy. If you love Subarus, take the short drive to Carson and go to Michael Hohl and go see Nick or Rob or both. They will take care of you to the fullest. read more

We initially took our Subaru Forester in to have 3 recall's done. While there, I asked them to take a look at a problem we were having with our blower motor. (The car wasn't blowing hot air or cold air). They called me twice to authorize more diagnostic time (135 per hour..). At the end of it, they told me that I had a "short" somewhere in the dash and they were sure that it had to be completely torn apart and fixed. Along with that, the quote included fixing the AC compressor with a new belt. Total cost? $2000 bucks? WTF? I have a pretty good understanding of vehicles and normally do all my own maintenance. In fact, this was my first time EVER taking a vehicle into a shop. I politely said no, and was then made to feel like an idiot for not blindly following their advice. It get's better though! My wife ended up picking up the vehicle because I was at work. When she picked it up, they gave her grief as well for not paying them 2000 bucks. The kicker? We got back in the vehicle and the air works fine now. It ended up being a blown fuse related to a short at the AC compressor, which I disconnected, so it won't happen again. The 2 grand they want to fix the vehicle, will end up costing me about 600 bucks. And the 270 they charged for "diagnostic time", as far as I can work out, was replacing a blown fuse, which takes 2 minutes. I usually don't post Yelp reviews, in fact this is my second ever, but I feel so angry toward my experience at Michael Hohl. People who have limited knowledge of vehicles TRUST that the dealership has their best interest at heart. They hope that they aren't being ripped off. Seriously, please do not take your vehicle here for maintenance of any kind. Take it ANYWHERE else. This dealership doesn't care about you, or your situation. Except this one...They quoted FULL MSRP and refused to budge unless I drove to the lot and sat down with a sales manager and make a reasonable offer (2 hours from my location which I'd drive for a good deal but not to sit and haggle for an afternoon) to show AND I QUOTE "how serious I am about buying"... hey i know its their prerogative on the price but give me a break. I told them a price I was quoted from another dealer and they said AND I QUOTE "then I suggest you go buy it there."....Not 'we cant match that' or 'maybe we can get close'...just an un-friendly 'go away.' Rude - Nice until you ask for a better price - Hard Sales And Another Thing Weird...I called from a local, in-State phone number and only gave them my name (First/Last) and when they called back they knew I lived out of State. So far they have: a) lied to my face about interest rates on a new car purchase (I whipped out a financial calculator, turned on my heal and bought a brand new Legacy at Lithia instead), b) tried to sell parts at monstrous markup (50+% over the next franchise Subaru dealer I called), c) refused to disclose Subaru list parts pricing, and d) have just been all-around rude and lame to deal with. OK, The reason we traveled from Sparks to Carson City was that we were told by friends that you could save tax money by doing so... maybe that is true if all other considerations are equal. In our recent experience, they were not! When we were approached by a salesperson soon after we arrived (a PLUS!) we explained why we had come, and made it PERFECTLY CLEAR that we did NOT wish to get into a "haggling" over price, so, when we found a car we were interested in, we wished the dealership to present their "best offer", since we would walk if we did not care for it, and buy (with cash), if the offer was acceptable. This was made VERY CLEAR at our first encounter, and agreed to by the salesperson, who said he/she would be giving us that figure, and did not require approval (another PLUS...)- Off to a good start! We found a car we were interested in, drove it, liked it, and asked the salesperson to put a figure together that presented their best offer, including a figure for our trade-in. We were about to start "downhill", VERY QUICKLY! The price offered for our trade-in was several thousand less than we had been quoted by a Reno dealer (as well as being much lower than our KELLEY BLUE BOOK research had shown). The price quoted for the USED 2017 model we looked at was almost the same as the sticker price on a NEW model. We said, "no thank you, we are not interested in the offer", and would like our registration document returned because we were leaving. Then things turned very messy... we were told that they could give us more for our trade, come down in their price, etc. -- "how can we come together"... we said the figures were way too far apart, and he had agreed that the presented offer was their best offer, and we were not going to do business with them. "So, if you would please return our registration slip, we will be on our way. " By the time the salesperson finally gave us back our registration, we were both FURIOUS! The treatment was unbelievably rude, obstinate, and extremely un-professional!!! We will NEVER return to this dealer, and I hope it is clear that we will not recommend it to anyone we know. read more

To begin, I appreciated the floor salesmen during my experience at Subaru. They were helpful and knowledgeable until we began to negotiate pricing. The salesman became timid when asked about numbers. During negotiations, it came to the point where the salesman had us come to the finance managers office to tell him the numbers. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He is more oriented in getting your money than providing customer service. It came to the point where the finance manager came into the room and continued to be extremely unprofessional by apparently "educating us." My family previously purchased two Subarus at this location which was why we came to do business here. However, after this incident, I was extremely disappointed by the unprofessional finance manager and will no longer give them business. read more

Yikes!! Michael Hohl USED to be THE place you'd go to buy a car in northern Nevada. We've bought several cars from here. But not these days and to be honest we didn't leave the last time feeling too happy either. It started with a flyer in the mail from them saying that our lease was up and time for a new car. We barely pulled up and already a sales man is not even letting us get out of the car. Throughout working with him, we could tell he wasn't familiar with the process and he barely understood what he was explaining to us. But he was kind and really trying hard to have better communication. When we showed the salesman the flyer, he showed it to the sales manager, who proceeded to laugh as, well, anyone and everyone got those flyers all while laughing about it. Same with the finance gentleman. When we'd ask him important questions he just kept saying how he was new and had just came over from Reno Dodge and I'm not sure how Subaru does things but here's how Dodge operates?! While we're discussing our lease options we see that our lease isn't actually up for another year. Mr Reno Dodge explains that it's all good. No worries, it doesn't affect what we're doing today. Ask yourself how good your feeling at this moment and how well cared for you feel trying to get into a new lease from these clowns. You don't feel comfortable and don't trust what's going on in front of you! You actually feel really stupid for being there! We tried calling Subaru of America/ Chase Financial to also make sure that what we're doing is ok, but their closed. Against our better judgement, we take the car. Guess what.....we return the car two days later because according to Subaru of America / Chase Financial.....if we return our car early and terminate the lease we pay hundreds possibly thousands in fees and early termination issues! Now imagine how you feel at this moment! Upon returning the car, their sales team with their tale between their legs all hide in their sales office and let the lot attendant take care of us! I mean I could go on and on, but don't we all have better things to do in our lives! read more

He spent hours prior to my purchase making sure that all of my questions were answered and I was getting exactly what I wanted. He then spent two hours sitting in my car when I purchased it going over every single things. However my experiences with Michael Hohl Subaru's service department has been great so far with my 3 warranty claims. I'll update this review after I get my car serviced and repaired at my own expense and see if the service is just as good. One negative thing that definitely subtracted a star was that I talked to somebody, probably a phone operator, who told me that my car battery isn't covered under my new car warranty. I insisted that yes it was and this person passed me on to somebody in service who agreed with me. read more

I was on my way from San Francisco to Santa Fe just a few days before Christmas a couple of years ago. As I came out of the Sierra (in icy, gravelled conditions), I started hearing a terrible griding/scraping sound on my front right tire every time I pressed on the brakes. I suspect it was probably a stone stuck between the brake pad and rotor, and knew that if I kept driving like that, I'd gouge the heck out of the rotor. I didn't want to stop my drive, but reluctantly pulled into Michael Hohl's service department around 12pm. Of course, as I stopped the sound had disappeared, so I figured the rock had fallen out, but wanted to be sure it wasn't going to come back half way across the loneliest road in America. I explained what was going on to the service manager and he said that he didn't have time in his appointment schedule but would be willing to try to have a guy take a quick look if I was willing to wait around. It was lunch time, so I was happy to wait and walked next door to get a bite to eat. Half an hour later, he called me, told me they put it on a lift and removed the wheels and didn't see anything, and it was ready to go. When I got back, he refused payment and told me it was on the house, since it was such a simple thing! Michael Hohl turned what was a stressful moment in a road trip into a pleasant and calming experience and I was delighted they cared more about my happiness then their bottom line. It's unfortunate that I live so far away from them, as I'd love to give them more business. read more

I typically don't write reviews, but I was surprised to see so many poor ones on here, I had to share my experiences with this dealership. I moved to Reno from the Bay Area 3 years ago. When I was due for my first service while living in Nevada, I made an appointment with Michael Hohl Subaru. I had a great experience and met a wonderful service advisor named Arvin Kronick. I continued getting my services at this location for awhile, until life got busier, and I decided to go to a dealership closer to my home because an oil change is an oil change is an oil change, right? Wrong! After a year, I decided to head back to Michael Hohl Subaru because it is clean, the people are friendly, and in my experience, they do a great job. To my surprise, Arvin remembered me and even helped me with a loaner car when I was due for a big service that would require my vehicle for a full day. It was because of my experiences with the Service Department, that I decided to buy my new 2018 Forester at Michael Hohl. I worked with Kevin Gallegos on my purchase. He was everything you wouldn't expect a car salesman to be - responsive, not pushy, helpful, and nice. I had a great experience buying my new car from him. I feel like I got a good deal on a great car and the process was quick and painless. During my purchase, I met the Sales Manger, Nick. He personally came up and thanked me for my business, which I thought was a nice gesture. The financial advisor I worked with, Mitch, was awesome. He didn't try to push accessories and added items to my purchase. All around, everyone I worked with seemed sincerely nice and helpful. I highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. And even more so, I recommend purchasing a Subaru. I was recently in a bad car accident that left my 2014 Forester totaled. I walked away with only minor bumps and bruises when I could have not walked away at all. I didn't ever envision purchasing a Subaru 5 years ago when I bought my first one, but now I can't imagine ever owning anything else. Thanks Michael Hohl Subaru, you guys are wonderful. read more

As far as car dealerships go, Hohl Subaru is pretty good (also enjoyed my experience at their neighbor property Hohl Honda). I recently came in for a test drive and purchase of a 2018 Forester. The test drive was scheduled ahead of time during my lunch hour. When I arrived no one seemed to know about the test drive which was disappointing as I was hoping they would have the vehicle ready to go since I had only a short time on my lunch. Anyway, I was paired with a salesman named Kyle who was very nice and I appreciated his low key pitch. After the test drive I was sold on the car and was vaguely quoted a price based on an employee program, that seemed great. Unfortunately when I returned a few days later to buy the car, the pricing was more expensive than he quoted me. He quoted me for the very base (manual) with no extras. But somehow the car I got had all this extra stuff (cargo mat, fancy rear view mirror with Homelink, two sets of floor mats,etc) I did not ask for an had no clue it was wrapped into the price because I was never given an itemized list. Of course I did not realize any of this until after I signed the paperwork. I highly suggest that you ask for an itemized list of all the vehicle costs/ OEM add-ons! Anyway I am not too upset about this actually because the extras are great (except the extra floor mats), I just hate how dealers fleece you like that. I definitely should have asked more about the vehicle but I was so distracted by other things going on. The sale itself went ok, like I said my sales guy Kyle was really great and nice. But the finance team was kind of frustrating. First they gave me a terrible price on my trade-in and would not budge and inch (or dollar). They claimed they would have trouble selling it, but I was checking their website and no longer see it listed for sale so I am assuming they sold it just fine in less than two weeks for double the price they gave me. Anyway, lesson learned--never trade in your car! Then the financing. I have a killer credit score and Subaru has been running a 0%APR financing deal for a while. I figured I was a shoe in. Well the finance manager would not give me this rate, claiming that Subaru does not offer 0% at the moment. I tell him it's on the Subaru website AND the Michael Hohl Subaru website. So after giving me and my sales guy Kyle kind of the run around, they finally look into it more and low and behold yes they actually do offer that financing option. So in the end I got the financing I wanted but def. had to fight for it which is ridiculous. Enter second finance guy, who tries to sell me on all the extras and I say no to all of them even gap insurance because I know my insurer offers this already for waaaaaay less. He kept telling me that most insurance companies don't offer it and they can get me a better rate, yadee yah. So I called my insurer on the spot and got it added right away for $8 for the entire policy period (6 months) as opposed to their offer of $14/month. Overall, I am very happy with my car purchase from here and I think the dealer is pretty good overall. Like I said, the sales was great and low pressure, but I was less impressed with the finance team. Just know ahead of time how much the car should cost (get a quote online!), do not trade in your car if you can avoid it, and call your insurance company ahead of time to ask about gap insurance! read more

I began calling Michael Hohl Subaru Parts at 5:30 PM this evening looking for information on a Uncut HS Transponder Key for my 2011 Subaru purchased at this dealership. Through the desk clerk, I was transfered to Subaru Parts, parts answered and asked to be placed on hold. After 13 minutes, I redialed. Second time, transfered to GMC Parts, placed on hold but was answered. GMC Parts could not answer my question. GMC Parts transfered my call the Subaru parts and call went to answering service. It was 5:45 PM by this time. Called third time, desk clerk asked if I wanted to be transfered again to Subaru Parts, I said no. I told her it would go to voice mail. She dialed the number and it went to voice mail. She tried the parts manager and received voice mail. It was not yet 6:00 PM. She asked if I wanted to call back tomorrow morning. We had a great experience here. Our car broke down at our house in Tahoe and had it towed to the dealership. They provided a loaner car, quickly repaired the problem and charged us only for certain services we requested. Logan the service advisor was awesome. read more

We were not expecting much when we visited this dealership, as our experience with other dealerships proved to be so lacking in professionalism, limited in the knowledge of the cars they were selling and always the lingering feel that you were bothering them when asking questions concerning the cars features. But from the first moment we stepped on Michael Hohl's Suburu lot in Carson City, we felt welcomed. Sales Consultant, Kevin Gallegos greeted us, spent some time helping us decide on the model of car we were interested in and immediately brought it to us for complete inspection. The little details shouldn't be ignored, such as the fact that it was close to 100 degrees out and Kevin made sure that we and the car were in the cool shade. He went over every feature of the car, answering all our questions in a professional, strait forward manner, as well as answering the questions we didn't even know we had:) We feel that he dealt with us honestly and we came to terms we both believed were fair. Then he went the extra mile, making sure we sat in the car to use all the mechanical and tech features until we felt comfortable and knowledgeable about the car we were purchasing. Kevin offered us further support and gave us his number to call in case of questions or concerns. The car is a dream ~ proving everything Kevin said was true. A week has passed and Kevin called us today, leaving a message to relay his hopes that we are happy and adjusting to a vehicle that is smarter than we are. ps. Do not buy a car from these lier, thieves, low live scums. Mary is a lier and a thief. She told me my car would be in in 1 or two days to give her a deposit. Then she said big mistake and it would be in 2 weeeks. then she said on 4 more days. Then when i went to get it she ordered the wrong car. I asked for a vin number and paper work on the car but she refused and said trust me. About the money I gave them for the car they want 2 weeks to give my money back to me. I just got off the phone with my c card company and they refunded my money. Im going to be writing Subaru about this as i have purchased 5 new subarus in my life but will never buy subaru car again. I had a shockingly horrible experience at Michael Hohl Subaru. I live in Reno and had already spoken with the Subaru dealership here (Lithia Sparks). My boyfriend and I ONLY drove down to Carson City on Saturday (08/06/17) because of the phone rep, Valerie Nelson, who got in touch with me and specifically said they would give me a better deal than the one I got from the dealership in Sparks. We were met by the most courteous and professional sales person, Alex Decampos. He was polite and let us test drive the car while giving us a detailed explanation of the eye-sight technology. But, all of that took a huge turn for the worse when he called the Sales Manager, Mr. Nick Reinhardt to discuss financing options. Nick was possibly one of the rudest and pushy people I have ever come across. It felt like he kept trying to intimidate me by raising his voice unnecessarily and constantly interrupting me just to force me in to purchasing the car the same day. I was put off by his demeanor right from the start and when he gave me the initial quote which was the exact same as the one I had received from Lithia Sparks, I politely showed him the quote I got from Lithia and told him I would only consider purchasing if it was negotiable. After going back and forth on getting a better price, he offered it to me for 600 dollars less than the initial quote. I told him honestly that while the discount he had offered was fair and absolutely acceptable, his attitude and dialogue had been extremely unprofessional. This got him so angry that he stormed out of the room while telling me to "Get out" and that I was in HIS house (referring to the fact that I'm not from here)! We were so appalled by his behavior and when we just looked at Alex who was also shocked at the manager's insult, while we were exiting the store, he yelled "Don't waste my guy's time" from across the store and literally escorted my boyfriend and I out of the store! I was horrified! This has been by far the worst experience I have ever had anywhere in this country. His behavior was completely unacceptable. I'm extremely offended at being disrespected especially after these people specifically called me to the dealership and I was completely professional throughout. It's sad to think that his disgusting attitude represents Subaru to customers every day. read more

Multiple terrible experiences with the service department. I stopped taking my car here for regular maintenance (even though i had a good experience at first buying my car from them) due to repeated miscommunication and errors. This last visit takes the cake though... a complete mess. The service department needs serious reorganization and protocol changes to avoid huge breakdowns in communication to customers. Even when I reached out to the "service manager" to express my frustration, I felt as if he could not possibly care less. No apologies given, only excuses and no attempt to retain my business. read more

I purchased my first Subaru brand new from this dealer from Don who was great back in 2015. Because my first interaction was pleasant I made an appointment and drove 3 hours to the same dealership to trade in my current 2015 Impreza for a 2018 Impreza. I did have minor exterior damage to one of my fog light covers. This would be a major inconvenience for me to fix and is a small detail for a dealership to take care of. After looking at cars I was ready to get to the paperwork when the manager, a 6 foot tall bald man who did not introduce himself came over and was very abrasive to me about the damage done to my front end. After a short interaction the manager told me to "GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE". I was moments from buying a new car from them and most likely the one after that and so on, and now will never return. Absolutely appalled that a manager would talk to any customer like that. read more

I normally go to Lithia but decided to give this dealership a try. I called today and asked to talk to service. I got voice-mail. I called back and said I need to talk to an actual person. They sent me to voicemail again. Long story short I called quite a few times, even asking for different departments, and each time I was sent me to a voicemail. I just needed to ask a question. I live 45 minutes away and can't just stop in. Even if I lived close by I shouldn't have to come in just to talk to someone. The lady answering the phones said there was nothing she could do, she can just send my call and hope they answer. I've been a receptionist before and that is not true. You can get up and get someone to actually get on the phone. You are losing sales because no one in your business will answer the phone. Unacceptable. Also, a few years ago when we were in the market to buy a Subaru, we stopped here first on our way to Lithia, and we were called Liars by either a sales or Finance guy. I don't care what business you're in, but it is never ever ok to call a customer a liar. Not really sure why I decided to give them another chance. On a positive note, most of the sales guys are awesome. read more

We had an excellent buying experience at Michael Hohl Subaru. Corina provided assistance initially by identifying Subarus that matched our needs. Afterwards, she linked us with Dom who guided us through the sales process. I wholeheartedly concur with all the positive reviews Dom has received on this site. He's a very easygoing, no pressure salesman, who is very knowledgeable about his product. He was patient as we worked several days to get the best possible deal. Once an agreement was reached, Ian in Finance presented several maintenance and warranty products, but never pressured us to make a purchase.
