Please don't waste any more time or money with other doctors…read more We are no stranger to Migraines in our family. And we've been to a plethora of Neurologists. Three out of our four family members have daily migraines. Our journey has been long and hard. When my kids were younger I brought them to see Dr. Hutchinson. She is the BEST person. She's kind and genuinely cares. My kids felt safe with her and she was there for them. Fast forward to 2021. I just had an appointment with Dr. Molly because my Migraines have been getting the best of me lately. She is also AMAZING! She spent a lot of time with me to help navigate my complicated symptoms. She's down to earth and she actually listened. It's likely that you've been traumatized by the medical system. I'm sorry for that. When doctors (even specialists) try to treat migraines that are chronic or complicated, that aren't responding to medications or other treatments - they tend to blame the patient. "It's all in your head", or "Maybe you just need to see a psychologist". They feel helpless within the situation and tend to blame the patient. It must be the patient's fault if the treatment prescribed doesn't work. Neither of these amazing ladies will blame you or shame you for having Migraines or mental health issues. It's not your fault you have Migraines. Dr. Hutchinson's office is private pay. You may be thinking that you aren't worth the investment or you're worried about wasting your hard earned money. Perhaps you're concerned that you won't be helped. I'm here to say that you owe it to yourself to try - even if you've tried everything else. At the very least you'll be genuinely understood and acknowleged. And it's highly likely you'll be treated properly and improve your quality of life dramatically. :)

I had to do wound care for my mom. They changed the time for her second post operative visit. I had t drive from out of town 2 hours for a time change. We waited for 50 minutes in the waiting room. I asked them why she had not been called yet. Then, they placed her in a room for another 15 minutes. They sent my mom home from the hospital from a major back surgery the next day. She coukd not feed herself, barely walk safely, and had no home health for 2 days. I asked if she could go to rehab, because Noone could stay with her for the 2 week time period and Gina said no. She was rude to me in the hospital. So, my mom NEVER SAW THE SURGEON postoperative lt. She ONLY SPOKE TO THE PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT. This is a horrible practice with terrible office staff. The surgeon, physician assistant do not have a caring bedside manner or run the office effectively. I am sad for my mom, because she was told this was the best doctor at Hoag. I do not recommend this surgeon, physician assistant, office, or practice.

After the most difficult year of my life, I hit a wall. A scary one. I couldn't focus. I couldn't…read morefunction. I would spend hours trying to complete the simplest tasks and still get nowhere. I felt numb, heavy, disconnected, like I was barely existing. I've been to several brain clinics in before, and most of them felt cold, clinical, and outdated. Their equipment was old, their spaces sterile, and nothing ever really worked. Jessica and her team, on the other hand, are in a league of their own. They use the most advanced neurofeedback technology on the market, I've done my research, looked into the pricing and specs of the equipment, and they are truly the leaders in this field. I flew to Orange County and completed 21 sessions in just 3 days. Today, for the first time in so long, I was able to sit down, open my laptop, and power through my day with clarity and ease. I reached out to clients, multitasked effortlessly, solved problems, and felt present. It's 5pm and my head doesn't hurt. I still have energy. Before, I would've felt drained, foggy, and unable to do anything. Today I feel alive and ready to enjoy my evening. And it's not just the treatment, it's the entire environment Jessica has created. Her office doesn't feel like a sterile doctor's office. It's cozy, calming, and thoughtfully designed with soft couches, warm blankets, and perfectly dimmed lighting. It's the kind of space where you can truly relax, focus, and heal. This is just the beginning of my journey, and I'll continue to update my review as I go. But already, I feel more like myself than I have in a very long time. I'm so grateful for this team and what they've given me, hope, clarity, and a real chance to thrive.

When I found the Brain Care Clinic, I was experiencing the happiest and most peaceful time daily…read morethat I've ever experienced in my entire life! Problem was, I couldn't fully enjoy it. I just knew the peace I had and the joy that was in it, but my mind was never fully present. It was like I was a floating spectator on the side, viewing this actual bliss with a slight smile on my face. I was emotionally invested and fully aware but truly detached. Like when you see something that truly warms your heart in a movie but you're not in the movie. The problems were these; I suffered from clinically diagnosed PTSD stemming from a previous trauma-filled abusive relationship, I had frequent random morbid images and thoughts that would pop in my head, extreme over-thinking, I could not get a full good night's sleep nor fall asleep in a healthy amount of time and I suffered from chronic migraines. In addition, I have Epstein-Barr (an autoimmune disease) and Hypothyroidism. All this issues together could make even the most perfect life stressful and sad. I was guilt ridden with the fact that I was so detached in the face of such a blessed life. Enter the Brain Care Clinic! I'll spare the absolutely divine and non-coincidental way Jessica came to me at the most perfect time!!!! I was a few months away from being married, I was desperate to get rid of these intruding and awful morbid thoughts that would come up and not carry all these issues into my new life. I tried so much personal care work on my own, which helped in this process but wasn't making any change overall. I started my sessions and by session 3 I was sleeping through the night!!! No doubt helping my over all health. After my session 4 appointment I realized I was driving a long distance, right next to the center divider with absolutely no anxiety. Something I didn't go to the clinic for was help with my anxiety during driving because it was so beside the point compared to the extreme over-thinking and morbid thoughts I carried, but there I was, driving at a normal speed, right next to the cement center dividers that would've typically sent me into a freezing panic attack. You can understand how incredibly dangerous that might be. I was elated!!!!! I just couldn't believe myself and I just knew that this was working! Something I didn't even go to the clinic for was being addressed!!! I felt such happiness and confidence and it's been such a great journey ever since! Jessica and her team are so great at checking in with your progress, remapping the brain if needed and making adjustments according to what they see and feedback you give them. Jessica and Paula actually care about how you are feeling emotionally and every other way in your life. You will feel the undeniable love they have for what they do in helping others. I am now at what I like to call, "the sweet spot!" I am 3 months into my sessions and realize that every single issue I listed previously is GONE. Throughout these 3 months I would have wonderful progress, then something would trigger or change my activity and I would need to keep training to get to a place of progress again, it's literally like working out in the gym on your body. The sessions themselves have been amazing! I leave them feeling so calm and hopeful. I realized time after time that after my sessions I was driving home in silence. The radio and the loud aggressive commercials were not where my vibe was at so I made a playlist for after my sessions that I listen to. I call the playlist, "Calm Music to Smile By." So here I am now, living a life in harmony, one I would describe as truly joyous and healthy and even more than that, it's a life I am truly present in. My mind is nowhere else but in the present, not off obsessing or having awful, negative thoughts! My migraines are very few and far between and when I do get them, they are so mild, and I can't tell you the kind of freedom that provides. That in it of itself is such an amazing gift! My PTSD is truly non-existent, and I never thought for a minute that that was possible. I'm now married and can truly appreciate and feel the happiness that comes along with that and I owe it to these wonderful women and their amazing Brain Care Clinic!!

At first, my husband was able to see Dr. Thakkar directly for the first few visits, and we appreciated having the neurologist personally evaluate his condition and treatment. After those initial 2-3 appointments, however, all subsequent visits were scheduled with a physician assistant instead of with Dr. Thakkar, even though my husband's case is long‑standing and complex. I understand that practices often use PAs to help with scheduling and workload, but as a caregiver I expected my husband to be followed primarily by the neurologist we chose. Over time it felt like we no longer truly had access to Dr. Thakkar himself, which was disappointing and concerning given the seriousness and duration of my husband's Parkinson's. Because of this, I eventually decided to stop bringing my husband to this office and moved his care to a different neurologist who sees him personally at each visit. This review reflects our personal experience and expectations; other patients may feel differently, but continuity with the actual neurologist was important enough that we chose to seek care elsewhere.

When I needed a third fusion to stabilize both SI joints, my insurance denied it, and my previous doctor was unwilling to appeal on my behalf. After two years of fighting for approval on my own, I found Dr. Jankowski through a Southern California EDS Facebook group. I was physically and emotionally exhausted, and honestly desperate -- I'm so grateful I found him when I did. From my very first appointment, he was kind, efficient, and genuinely knowledgeable about my rare and complicated condition, and it meant so much to finally feel understood. He assured me he was on my side and would fight for the surgery I needed, and he meant it. His office manager, Paritash, got to work immediately, submitting appeal after appeal and keeping me updated with such care every step of the way. Dr. Jankowski personally advocated for me by writing a detailed letter to my insurance company on my behalf, and again during an extensive 40-minute peer-to-peer review phone call. Thanks to his persistence, my surgery was finally approved after several rounds of appeals. He was so reassuring and compassionate heading into surgery, and he stayed in touch throughout my hospital stay, even when my pain proved harder to manage than expected. My incision healed beautifully, and he went out of his way to order collagen-based bandages, knowing EDS patients often heal poorly after surgery. Paritash arranged my home health care and physical therapy right away and was always warm and quick to respond to my calls and texts. When managing my drains turned out to be more complicated than planned, she even came in on her day off, when the office is normally closed, just to remove them and change my bandages. Despite Dr. Jankowski being out of town for part of my recovery and my surgery falling right after Christmas, his team made sure scheduling follow-ups was never a hassle. It's been three months since surgery and two months of physical therapy, and the chronic back pain caused by my hypermobile joints has almost completely disappeared, dramatically improving my quality of life and allowing me to return to in-person work after being practically bed-bound most of the day. I could not be more grateful that I found Dr. Jankowski and Paritash when I did. Dr. Jankowski gave me my life back when I had all but given up hope of salvaging any remaining pieces of my youth, and he has opened up a world of possibilities to me. I will never be able to adequately express my gratitude. I cannot recommend him enough, especially to fellow patients with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
