For appetizer we shared Frutta Di Mare appetizer. The fish salad was extremely fresh, light and tasty. Before our entrees, we received tasty house salads. Stopped here for some pizza before going to the vineyards . We decided on a pie with half sausage well done. It was cooked to perfection and it wasn't greasy at all. It was delicious! I even ate the crust which something I never do! Service was friendly too. Our waiting time for a full pie was not long at all, and it was made fresh. There is some seating inside and a good amount of tables outside. For the pie and two sodas it came to $28, which is not bad at all. I recently came here for a nice dinner and some great pizza that I had heard of. The staff were quick to get us seated as I had made a reservation prior to coming. The inside of this place is very nice and not very crowded in terms of tables. They have a bar and a very cozy outdoor area as well. The wait staff were okay because despite there being a good amount, the service was slow at first. The place was also not that crowded. Despite this, I was very impressed with the initial bread basket that they gave us as it included several garlic knots! This was a pleasant surprise. We ordered some entrees and they came pretty quickly. This food was very delicious and definitely lived up to all the hype. We also ordered another bread basket. For dessert, the waitress told us the options, but we were not ready and needed a few minutes to decide. Half an hour later the waitress returned to get our order. The dessert was mediocre at best. My cake was fairly dry, but the cannoli was pretty good. Overall, the experience was good although being kind of drawn out near the end. I would definitely recommend this place to visitors if you are in the area. This place is a chain so there are other locations as well. read more

Tried them again after last year's bad experience only because another couple requested that we have dinner there. OK, I like to give restaurants another chance since maybe it was an off night. Well some things did improve. Service was excellent. Friendly staff was on top of things but not intrusive. The big problem I had was the food and the popular 4% credit card fee. I had a veal dish which was tasteless and chewy. I did enjoy the bread and complimentary bruschetta but did not appreciate the 4% credit card fee. If the statement by the owner that "all the other North Fork restaurants do this" according to another yelp reviewer than he is a liar. I have never been charged a 4% credit card fee for dinner. Painful... the hostess' clearly don't have a grasp on the job role... after being told there was a 15 min wait they gave away our table by accident, what a mess of using system they are using.. then after waiting an extended time for an outdoor table we were seated inside as a result, , where we were served the saddest and most sloppy serving of calamari, "soggy, under cooked & without cherry peppers even thought they were listed in The description ", the experience was so lacking, I'm annoyed that we actually wasted our night out on this place, the only saving grace was my kids liked the pizza .... I've been coming here for years. I have had many experiences here and I've spent a to of money Over the years. I've had some good experiences and some bad but I know the restaurant Business is hard so I'm understanding but this last time was the last straw for me and my whole family. I went in and ordered a large Cesar salad with chicken, a small soup 2 slices of pizza and roll. The bill was crazy so i looked at the receipt and they charged me $30 for lettuce that had Parmesan cheese sprinkled on it and a few croutons and old hard chicken. And I'm not exaggerating. I tried to feed the chicken to my little dogs and they walked away. I don't mind paying top dollar for quality food but this was a complete insult! It's lettuce and not even a lot of it. I was charged $14 for a pint of soup. It was cold and gross. I had no idea it was $14. Usually soup is $7 but it was a "special" even though that's not what I asked for. The pizza was ice cold and soggy and and everything was just disgusting. I was very upset that this establishment had fallen so far from where they used to be. The woman behind the counter was very unhelpful. I figured I would talk to the manager the next day and she said the salad shouldn't have been $30 but never offered to replace any of it or make good on any of it. $80 worth of food in the garbage. Nothing to salvage since my dogs wouldn't even eat the chicken. It was late so I wound up going to 7/11 to buy some sandwiches and yogurt. This is very disappointing and hesitated writing this review but in the end I have them multiple chances and they deserve this review. read more

The pizza here is really good. I do takeout for lunch often... or I did. So the guys behind the counter wear their masks over their chin. I asked them to please cover their mouths and noses, at least for my two slices. (The women are wearing masks, the guys are oppositional). The older guy starts on a rant 'you know they said the masks don't work', belted that at me several times. 'They' being who? Fox News? NYS rates are down because of masks, that's science and it's saved lives, including his. So if you want Covid get your pizza here. We were there last night. With a reservation we were seated promptly. We then waited about 20 minutes for water and bread. Our waitress arrived about 40 minutes after we were seated. Our food arrived at least 30 minutes later. My wife's dinner was great she had the salmon and was pleased with it. I sadly had the veal Marsala. The veal was tough the gravy tasteless. Then to top it off they added an extra glass of wine to our bill which required two employees to correct. Not likely we would return here. read more

This is a local place that has a very nice veneer ( attractive interior and outdoor seating ) but is lacking in some areas. We got the calamari -- pretty good, generous helping and pizza ( quite a disappointment, especially since we intended to have 1943 Pizza but they were closed ). We have had their soups for take out and they are pretty good. Salads as a meal a disappointment. My pet peeve--- when I am charged a fee, especially at a restaurant, for using my credit card!! This is an established restaurant that has no need but to be greedy to charge this fee. Unfortunately, the waitress suffered tonight because the fee was deducted from our intended tip. Reason number 7million that I love my wife. Just spent $65 on two take out dishes from this albatross of an Italian restaurant. My chicken Marsala had two pieces of chicken that were so small that I could finish my entire dinner in 6 bites. The Marsala sauce was brown, tasteless water. My wife's clam sauce was loaded with sand and sitting in white, tasteless water. I know all the amazing reasons we choose to live on the NOFO but the Italian food choices are no longer one of them. Up-island has competition. If you have 16 Italian restaurants all within driving distance of each other you're going to be forced to step up your game or be vanquished. Michaelangelos if you're listening, you no longer exist to me. How you let these dishes leave the kitchen is beyond comprehension. Perhaps it's time to change the sign outside and remove the words "Italian restaurant " if you can't make two of the simplest dishes on this planet than perhaps it's time to simple adjust the sign outside as to not also be in the false advertising business since making good food is clearly not your specialty either. My wife just went into the kitchen and made two new sauces from scratch which saved the day. That's reason #7 million. This is my first review ever, and I hate people that write reviews. That's how bad the food was tonight. Poor service, go to another restaurant waited over 30 minutes for our drinks, waitress forgot we ordered an appetizer, brought it out after we said something and the $20 bake clams were ice cold. When we asked to speak to a manager, we found out our waitress was the manager and instead of coming to see what was going on, she sent other servers out with our order, we refused the order until she came to the table. We where lucky enough to find the owner, who had an aggressive tone and didn't make it right and said it's a holiday week end and they can't go to every table. We will never be back. We made a reservation for 6:15pm and were seated on time. At 8:00pm I approached a man who I later found out was the owner to request our food, that we still hadn't received to be wrapped up. I kindly explained that I couldn't wait any longer, my two children were basically sleeping at the table. He then decided to try and justify that it was MY fault because I ordered an appetizer. He argued multiple Points that I shouldn't have ordered an appetizer, don't I know that that extends my dining time. My children ordered chicken fingers and raviolis, I don't believe they take 2 hours to prepare. Our food was wrapped as asked and was mediocre at best. Bland. Poorly cooked, a true disappointment. The owner actually got on the phone and argued with me over 25 dollars. One of the dinners They gave us was chicken parm instead of shrimp parm. I told him I'd like a credit for our next visit. And I'd bring him the un eaten dinner the next day as it was late and at this point our dinner was already ruined on a Saturday night. He said you have to come back RIGHT now at 9pm because I know I gave you shrimp for one of the dinners not chicken. We live in greenport. And we will never order from them again. Warm Italian bread, garlic rolls were good. Chicken Piccata side penne The chicken was tender and had a nice lemony taste but was overwhelmed with capers. I like capers but they or their brine gave the dish a briny taste. The penne and sauce were good. Lasagna One layer of noodles, meat, sauce and cheese.
