We had a 715 reservation on the patio, it was starting to drizzle around 615 when we left our house. We arrived at the restaurant at 705 and the host checked the weather and said it will stop shortly, we were fine even if we had to wait 20 mins + ;the weather was out of their control. Then she says, "yeah it's not stopping, you should go across the street our sister restaurant". And my sister, also industry and bride to be asked if there was a way to move inside even with a wait or accommodate and the host said, "no we're booked." Which was disheartening bc I don't think her or I have ever turned away a guest and encouraged them to leave- even since we were on time, early may I add, to a reservation we had for a month! When I asked what the cuisine was across the street her response, " oh burrata, fish, some of the same fish from here and you'll definitely be able to get in". So I asked if it was like Italian/American.. she didn't really give great feedback. I have been a chef for 13 years and I would have loved to support what they are doing and was eagerly anticipating this dining experience. I genuinely hope to dine here at some point in the future. But this did leave a negative impact
