I went to the framing area to have my art assembled. I had already picked out the double matting (thank you Dexter) & it was special ordered for me. Dexter had already left for the day BUT Amanda & Sell were awesome. I had to wait awhile but that's OK because I would rather have Amanda not rush & do the beautiful job that she did. I have had many pictures framed & matted at Michael's in Dublin. If a manager sees my Yelp, please tell Amanda, Dexter & Sell how important their jobs are & thank them. They are an asset to the Dublin Michaels. They help me pick out the correct complimentary colors for the Art. They make people happy. They are so friendly & personable & even though they had quite a few customers, they never seemed to get rattled. It's great to have a Michael's location nearby, however, I believe it could be better. It seemed like there were some good finds here and there, sure, but I think the product assortments were on the smaller side, however, they weren't terrible. There were some nice beads, chains, charms, yarn, and paint. I just thought some of the shelves were either bare or the merchandise wasn't untouched / new - where some of the packaging looked tampered with. I checked to make sure the number of colored pencils in my box was the correct amount. I liked some of the flowers, but recalled seeing a much larger variety at another location a long time ago. I couldn't tell if the store was remodeling as some of the floors looked damaged or old down some aisles you'd walk down. I found some nice party / entertaining decorations - different sized disco balls and sequined tablecloths that you could honestly also use as a backdrop for a photo booth or display. The employee at the register was kind and helped me create my Michael's account at what I consider the new self-checkout stands (it's been that long since I've been to a Michael's) - I felt like the screens were nice and big so it was easy to view and process. I went to Michael's yesterday, Friday, August 14, 2026. I went there around 11 AM specifically to get some help in adding hardware to some recently purchased prints that came without any hardware necessary to hang the frames on the wall. The lovely young woman who helped me in the framing department went above and beyond the call of duty. She added the hardware with excellence while I waited and provided the best customer service I think I have ever received. I found a few other things in the store and the young man who checked me out was also very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. I used to be a regular customer of Hobby Lobby, but since it is no longer in Dublin, I will be returning to Michael's more frequently. I'm sorry I did not think to get the names of these two outstanding employees, but I hope that through this review they will be made aware of my great appreciation for the help they gave me. read more

I have brought several very old family photos and precious pieces of artwork to them to repair frames and broken glass. They have shown such care in their work and also in how they spoke to me as a customer that it really meant a lot to me. Lack of staff, inaccurate inventory levels, and overall rude employees. Things showing in stock online are no where to be found. There is one person at the front of the store on a register and the only other person there is at the back in the framing department. There are no other workers to ask questions or to help you find anything. I assume inventory levels are off because of theft since there is no one in the store that will even acknowledge your existence unless you are checking out or getting something framed. I tried to ask a question up front and was greeted with "self checkout is open over there." I almost left right then and there. read more

Today we went into the store for their balloon selection. They have a great selection, as long as you don't need them filled up. Take them elsewhere... We were not greeted upon entry, but we found what we needed quickly and went to the register for help. The lady who was working the front end didn't ask if we needed help and was too concerned with her online pickup order baskets. She finally noticed us at the register and said she'd be over in a minute. When she finally came over, she asked when we needed the balloons by? We only needed 3 balloons. She told me she was too busy with what she was working on to help me, if I couldn't come back later. For three balloons?! It was really unprofessional, and poor customer service. read more

Bad service Don't ask for help here. I asked if there were was Christian / religious items worker told me no. Wrong I found multiple religious stickers for many religions. Man who rung me up saw I paid $50 worth of stuff and pushed my things off the side and looked at me like I need to leave I'm bothering him he even said "you're good to go" I said "can I please have a bag" he said it's usually 35 cents and stared at me with a blank face. If you see a woman buying multiple items heads up dude you bag it for them why should I. Even be ASKING for a bag are you not a CASHIER? This is a pretty good location. The strip mall has a Ross, Marshall's a DSW and a Half Price Bookstore. With all those and a Burger King parking can get rough at times. Michael's is a good craft, party and art supply store. That carries some wedding decorations as well as some home decor, pillows silk plants & flowers. If you can build it they will come and buy it... Need yarn or sewing supplies? They have it all. Scrapbooking or card making your thing? How about beads or jewelry making? It's all there... I didn't find exactly what I was looking for on my last visit, but... I improvised and got something close and it worked! That's always a good thing! Our go-to store when we need something artistic for a birthday or holiday occasion. My daughter and I visited this afternoon as we needed to buy a few gifts - for the first time since the pandemic began 8 months ago in March. The store was well-stocked and reasonably full with shoppers, all masked and maintaining social distance. We headed to the arts section and found a couple of the things we wanted right away, but needed help locating the third. There was a store manager handy and she pointed us in the right direction. Shopping done, we browsed a little in the aisles packed with Christmas ornaments - one of my favorite purchases during the festive season. Then we got in the longish check-out line, which moved surprisingly quickly because there were four open checkout counters. Overall - a very smooth experience. I went in for a specific item that I couldn't find in any of the obvious places. The store is pretty big but we could only find one person on the sales floor and one on register. The floor associate must have been new because a customer was scolding her for not knowing where something was. If there was another option we would have gone to another associate, but we waited for this interaction to end to ask our question. When she was done the associate saw us standing there, dropped her head to look at her feet and literally ran away without acknowledging us. A few minutes later a man who I assumed was her manager came to deal with the first angry woman. We again waited until he showed her what she was looking for. He then saw us standing there and we said hello. He groaned, said hi and started to take off as well. We stopped him with a polite "excuse me, but can you tell us on what aisle x is"? He groaned again and finally told us under his breath and took off. He was very rude. Why do you think customers are standing next to you, patiently waiting for you to finish speaking to other guests so they can have their turn? Not for their health...for customer service...which is your whole job. Customers shouldn't have to chase you down for a little help. I get it, retail is hard. I worked as a manager at other Michaels locations for 20 years. But unfortunately you have to do your job even when you don't feel like it. Been shopping at Michaels for years. As I'm reviewing their reviews, I can see why they have such a low rating. I've been frequenting this shop for nearly 16 years and the customer service didn't bother me enough to write a yelp review.....until now. I had a couple of posters that needed to be framed. Ordering the frames wasn't the problem - in fact, the manager was helpful and professional. It was when I picked up my frames that I had a problem with. The manager was on vacation; the person that helped me was "Diana". Her customer service was appalling! I was thrown off by the way she was talking to me and after 10 minutes of her bullshit, I called her out on it. She was quick to change her condescending tone but she left such a bad taste in my mouth for me to write this review. Looks like Mary S. had her own taste of Diana as well. 5 stars for awesome customer service! I came in looking to buy a frame and get a mat made for the frame. Diana was very personable, friendly and efficient. She showed me lots of options and worked with me to find a good mat that would match. When we found the mat, she mentioned that it would take a couple of days for it to be ready. It's way too much fun to roam the aisles at Michaels!? I literally could walk down every aisle and keep myself entertained all day. I always liked taking trips as a kid and finding my creative side in college. But, I had no idea that Michaels would be the spot of Christmas decorations. I stopped by one day to get some tissue paper and wrapping paper. However, three hours later I had done enough damage and was able to stock my place with Christmas cheer. I definitely will be back for crafting and holiday needs. I was happy with the 60% off on holiday items and after Christmas it goes to 70% off. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to find some really nice holiday cards and ornaments too. The staff are always so friendly at check out and I enjoy the conversations. read more

Today I needed help locating a product that showed in stock at the Dublin store. DJ the Manager took the time To research even though she was heading out the door for end of shift. She then passed the baton to Jaydon who could not answer where the item Was in the store and did not want to continue to hold me up as he continued to Search ah he called other Michaels and found the item and insured it was positively at the Livermore Store. Although this was added miles it saved on frustration if I waited and the item was never found. I am A frequent flyer at this Michael's and know some Employees actions show they don't care and do the bare minimum in the customer service arena. This started off to be the case with a female employee so I Asked for the manager and then my issue Was dealt with professionally and with A smile. Jaydon was awesome. Did exactly what he said he was going to do and with true concern and most important he listened to me. Thanks Jaydon I hope Michael's is aware you are an exceptional individual. 1st time shopping at Michaels. I needed some office supplies for covid WFH and did an online search and Michaels came up for some of the storage, shelves, and planner supplies that I needed. Their online website was easy and straight forward to use. I did the curbside pickup. You go to the store and park out front in the two dedicated spots and for this store website, they ask you to call when you arrive and you give them the order number and tbey come out with your order. It took a little while for them to come out. Not as fast as Office Max curbside service. Michaels did seem to be pretty busy on this day. Overall a good experience though and their prices are pretty reasonable. I didn't go inside to browse. Maybe next time but it did seem to be fairly crowded. I guess alot of people doing crafts during these covid times :) read more

Didn't spend too long at this Michaels as i could spend more than an hour here if I'm not careful. This Michaels is special though because it's sandwiches between my other two favorite stores: Ross and Marshalls. Parking is a bit difficult as it is sharing with these lovely stores as well as DSW. I easily got to the cake section and picked up the cake board I needed for future cakes. Of course I never pay full price as there's always 40-50% off full priced items when you receive Michaels coupons. So I was able to get 50% off. Line was relatively short and glad they had two registers open even with the shortish line. I was able to get in and out in about 10-15 min. Still need to spend more time at this Michaels one day. It just wasn't today. read more

Wow I'm so surprised this store has such bad ratings. I don't mind going here for decor and other art type of items. It's a good size store that is pretty organized. I don't think they have changed the isles in years which is pretty convenient. They have a large selection of beads (good quality) , stickers, and decor for their size but everything else other than yarn is pretty limited which I would think is due to space? I do like coming here for tree items now that Richard closed down. They have a lot of neat things to stick in your tree if you're going for the 3d type of decorating. Also check out their planners and pretty pens when they are 70%. It's a price you can't beat read more

If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. DO NOT take anything of any importance in to get framed. I took in my DEAD grandma's scarf to get framed and they RIPPED it. I spent $300 on discount and was supposed to be a professional job but now a sentimental item is completely ruined. Not only that, they neglected to tell me that they f*cked it up. I went in to pick up my item and they told me I couldn't pick it up until the manager called me to say that it was ready. Weeks later I went in again and they acted like they couldn't find it. I had to demand it and they showed me a ripped product. Just an absolutely ridiculous experience for framing. I will be getting my money back and I'm guessing they will have to pay the $250 liability but I wish I could sue them. Nothing can replace the important item I lost due to negligence. read more

No problem, I was perfectly happy to have it delivered tomorrow. Can you believe these kind and fast angels delivered today anyway? I placed my order at 2:45 and it was delivered at 4:05 the same day. Excellent! I'm doubly impressed because it is 8 days before Christmas and I know your online orders and deliveries are way up this year. A nightmare. Was there today at Michaels in Dublin on 12/12/2023, was 4th in line at the checkout with only one person, yes one person, at the checkout and waited 45 minutes. One cashier was there as the line was getting longer and longer until there were about 20 people in line. They never got anyone else other than the one cashier. Most of the people in line were using gift cards and or buying gift cards and the self checkout machines do not handle those. People just began dropping their merchandise on a nearby shelf and walking out the door. When the cashier was with one customer for 20 minutes, yes 20 minutes, in some sort of dispute over pricing of some sort of white painted decorated Christmas soda crate, I finally gave up and did the same thing. From now on, I will go to Hobby Lobby, no matter how far I have to drive. read more

I was at the Michaels store at Dublin and wanted to find options for framing 2 large maps that I had. I met Diana, who helped me with it, she told me that she had no option for me but buy a $200 frame for each of my maps since they were oversized. When I asked her if she had anything more affordable and pointed at a big simple frame I saw displayed nearby, she said, they don't make "cheap stuff" like that and that I am standing at a "custom framing" counter and should look elsewhere! What attitude, how rude! I saw her helping another customer before me and she was sweet with her (she was a different color than me) That rings a racial intolerance bell in my mind. Brown customers, beware, it is not a very friendly atmosphere at the framing counter, be prepared to be attended to with arrogance! read more

I'm not really a very crafty person myself, but I'm a kindergarten teacher so I do periodically find myself shopping at Michael's to get supplies for my classroom projects. On this occasion, my mom and I dropped by this Michael's Arts & Crafts to pick up craft supplies for my nine year old niece's birthday party. The girl's were going to decorate eye masks (Like the kind you sleep in to keep out the extra light). Michael's had the eye masks (and even in her party theme color - teal, SCORE), plenty of stick on gems, and stick on glittery letters. They also had glittery silver gift bags for the girls' take home goody bags. If you ARE the crafty type, Michael's carries supplies for scrapbooking, stamping, painting, silk flowers, baskets, cake decorating supplies... you name it, it's probably here. Even candles and children's craft projects. They also have a large custom framing department, but I have not used it at this location. Having read all of the reviews mentioning the horrendous wait in the checkout lines, I was expecting the worst, but there really wasn't much of a line at all so I can't dock them stars for it. read more

They recently remodeled, and added allot of scrapbook stuff, but it is so disfunctionally laid out...they have one item in at least 5 different places...UGH!! I prefer Joann over Michaels mainly because it's a lot more organized at Joann. They have good coupons here though so when I can't find what I'm looking for at Joann, I'll go to Michaels. I've purchased picture frames, cheap record frames (even cheaper than UO) and other various craft supplies. The lines go pretty fast and the staff are usually pretty helpful if you know what you're looking for. I take my young niece here when she's visiting too. It's hours of fun for her. read more

When I purchased a bunch of teachers supplies online I thought it would be easy to return since this store is fairly close to my house. Turns out the online system and store system aren't as connected and in sync as one would expect considering we are in the digital age. Zac researched the issue, took my name and phone number and would call me periodically to let me know he was still working to resolve the issue. I ended up calling Michaels directly because I felt he had spent too much time on my situation. Michaels customer service is incredible, they fixed the issue, I called zac and thanked him for his time. Thank you zac and michaels! read more

I really only do most of my shopping at the framing area, from all my visits I find the place to be good. The clerks mostly seem be informative and when I have my artwork framed they are usually beyond informative and helpful. I agree with everyone that the staff is majorly lacking. I wondered around the store for 20 minutes looking for fabric paint and an employee to help me. Finely as I was giving up I found it. I wish all the paints were in one section. They are all over the place! The baking section is nice. I like to go there for the candy molds. Go to the Dollar Store before Michaels, sometimes you can find what you are looking for there for sooooo much cheaper. Save 3 bucks on googly eyes. Michaels does have a nice dollar section with ribbon and all sorts of stuff. The aisle are tiny, the staff sucks, the lines are confusing, but they have great stuff. read more

This Michaels seems way smaller than the rest of the ones i've visited but I was able to find what I needed. I came here today to try to find a grey acrylic paint that they didn't have at the Emeryville location and I found what I needed thankfully. They seemed to be fully stocked in the canvas, paints and organizational areas, which made this long trip to Dublin worth while. The only downside to this Michaels is that everyone in line was waiting about 20 minutes and that was just ridiculous. There seemed to be poor communication among the team members and 1 of the cashiers wasn't really alert at what she was doing making her line that I happen to be in slightly annoying. In a nutshell I got what I needed and found everything at a decent price so that's what counts. read more

Make sure you don't order and pay for anything online "for store pick up" because although it says they have it online, and they take your money for it, by the time the in-store management actually goes to pull your paid-for items off the shelves, they will all be sold out; and 2) when you call the 1-800 # to rectify the situation, they will apathetically and ineffectually cut you off and "I'm sorry " you to death. I wasted so much time trying to save myself some time by pre-picking out all my items and paying for them ahead so I could do curbside pickup. Essentially, they sold items that I had already purchased. I got 9 emails in a row telling me that my purchases were no longer available and I will be refunded. I even called them last night to check and the manager said they didn't have time to pull them yet. All day and night and the next day just passes by with me waiting to pick up my items. Such a bad experience and huge time wasted on an improper online ordering and pick up system. I will go back to Amazon. :-( read more
