Mainly making this review to shout out Ann the cashier! Omg such a sweet angel. I came in Friday to purchase some fall decorations for my work. Picked up everything and headed over to the cashier to check out. She was so kind and nice to talk to. It really lifted my mood. I was distracted when I left with a phone call and I had left a bag of decorations behind. 2 hours later, I realize I didn't have it but thought I just didn't buy them. So I head back, I'm out front looking at the pumpkins and Ann sees me, gets my attention and shows me that I left my bag! Omg face palm for me! This Michaels was heaven. I could already spend hours in my local Michaels . I'm a craft Fanatic not to mention looking and dreaming about all the ways to decorate my house. This location is pretty big and was so clean and organized. The employees were friendly as well. I was in today killing time and looking at ideas for my new office. Sales are always pretty good and with the app you can usually find some type of coupon. I'll definitely come in a lot more when in the area. read more

This store is always a bit messy, and stuff may be out of stock. My biggest challenge with the entire Michaels chain though is the ridiculous price games they play. Overprice big items, then make you jump through some hoops for a large discount coupon to bring it to a fair price. I avoid it because of that, unless I need it today. The last thing that fit that was an airbrush, overpriced by quite a lot compared to Amazon or other mainstream vendors. I spoke to someone and she said if I sign up for spam emails, I can get 40% off. I gave a fake email address and got it for the fair price. But why the games? read more

If they had more employees working to help customers I'd give five stars. Store is bright and easy to navigate. They have the best artificial flowers and also have a good selection of items to use them with such as the green Styrofoam and rocks. They have non-craft items as well such a Beanie babies and candy I've not seen in other stores. Cashiers are usually very pleasant. read more

I am so disgusted at the ENTIRE Michaels staff and how they were so impolite and downright rude to my little 4-year old with special needs and myself. Staff there clearly have ZERO respect for special needs children!! Even the (male) store manager kept giving him weird and unpleasant looks. So much for going and getting the kids a fun craft for the holiday. They can count on me no longer shopping at this location and quite possibly all the other Michaels locations. Don't mess with my kids. I completely understand if I was letting my child run wild and destroy the store but that wasn't at all the case. I didn't think there would be ANY way that this could be done within 24 hours during the holiday rush or for the budget I had...but Austin made it happen!! He was incredibly helpful, knowledgable, & professional. Worse customer service! Ordered online for pick up. Never received an email that my order was ready. Called 5 hours later and was put on hold for over 10 minutes to be asked why I'm on hold. Picked up my order and had an item missing. Called the store and the woman who helped me was by far one of the rudest people I've dealt with. During a time like this you'd think she'd be happy she has an income when people don't. Michaels should be firing ungrateful rude people such as her. Many many people would take her place! read more

Oh, Michaels, I love you. Artsy crafty things are always on my mind, but unfortunately I can't drop the big bucks to invest in all the goodies I want to leave with. This Michaels is stocked pretty well, and I am usually impressed with the stock of candy melts. Other locations seem to be out often. Never as crowded or has long lines like the others I've encountered in the Valley. A little messy sometimes, but that's okay, I can find what I need. And the coupons! I can always find a 40% off online, plus they usually print one with my receipt for the next visit. :) read more

This was one of eight or nine Michaels Stores we went to in the greater Phoenix area today. This was a little on the smaller side. We were searching for a particular type of scrapbooking paper that my wife uses in her paper crafting. As with the other locations, we really didn't find any. They all seem to be out of stock of this particular paper. In addition, the paper section needed some straightening. There were lots of pages in the wrong spot, and the paper we were looking for had the slots filled with different colored papers. That may be why the stock ran out and was overlooked. The cashier was friendly, but didn't know much about when supplies will be restocked. read more

Michael's basically stole $25 from us, their customer. We purchased a $50 gift card for our daughter as a Christmas gift. We went in today, bought $250 worth of merchandise and handed the gift card over to the cashier to use on our purchase. However, the gift card only showed an available balance of $24, even though we had never used the card before. The manager called their corporate office and got a printout of the purchases on this card. We purchased the card here in AZ and the next day, someone in Texas used the same card # and spent $25 on it. So, obviously they either had cards with duplicate #'s on it, or they have a security breach. The corporate office didn't really care about our loss of $25. The manager suggested discounting our purchase to equal the lost $25, and we agreed that would be adequate compensation. Then, the Manager changed her mind stating she was their all alone. This is not a well train store, or a company we will ever do business with again. read more
