Been at this location multiple times over the years and I've had decent experiences and good service. I love craft stores, and typically go into Michaels for certain items. I've gotten frames, sketch books, canvas, paint, drawing pencils, pens, jewelry making, and yarn. Their selection of drawing items are pretty good. I've ordered online and done store pickup or curbside but I've ended up having to go inside the store to pick up the purchase after all which didn't take that long. I provided them with my name and that was it. They hold your items for a good while and curbside pickup daily stops at 6pm. I'm not the crafty person type. Once in awhile I will get a whim and decide I will spray paint my outdoor furniture and then realize that I also sprayed half of my driveway...then I get a nasty note from my HOA and it's a vicious cycle... This Michael is located on W. Crossville road...aka...highway 92...aka Holcomb Bridge. (I don't know why roads in Georgia will just randomly change names for no reason. It's super annoying) It's across the street from Trader Joe's and next to Khol's. There is also a McDonald's and an Atlanta Bread Company nearby. The store itself is massive. It's got everything you can think of from yarns to wraths to shadowboxes to t-shirt paint to cake decorating icings. It's pretty much a one stop shop for the crafty person. I also like the sales people that work here. They're pretty helpful and if I don't know exactly what I'm looking for (which is more than half the time) they will guide me to the right aisle. The store manager Donald Williams is a rude, insensitive, disrespectful and unprofessional man. His behavior towards my sister last night was jaw dropping. Although he claimed he was doing her a favor by helping her just ONE minute after the store closed he made sure he reminded her that she needed to prioritize better and that she should be grateful that he is helping her in the first place. He was arrogant and antagonistic. After he reprimanded her he finished his statement with a "God Bless". Sir, if you happen to read this let us first of all say thank you for helping to make our beautiful daughter/niece birthday special today. However your attitude was not appreciated and had it been ME instead of my sister it sure would've been some words exchanged BOTH ways instead of one. My sister is the nice one. I am not. 2 stars. I'll tell you why. When my integrity is questioned at checkout as to whether or not I am a teacher; all bets are off. I showed the man my teacher I.D.card and D.L.and still he made it difficult. Said "I'll do it this time but next time I need a proper id number." Private schools don't have Id #'s for teachers. He was extremely rude to me and the next 4 women behind me who were also teachers buying end of the year supplies! This Michael location will not be getting my business. read more

This store has steadily gone down hill in both customer service and stock. Was informed by an employee that the website showing seasonal items in stock was accurate, however the products had not yet been unpacked in the back and probably would not be unpacked for a week or more. By that time the season will be practically over. Meanwhile, other staff (about 3 others) were standing together at the empty registers talking, laughing and loudly carrying on a conversation while the employee I spoke with went on to walk quickly in circles around the store "looking" busy but doing literally nothing more than walking. Michaels has fallen prey to hiring people who do not want to do their job and are simply there to log payroll hours for a paycheck. This location won't last much longer. read more

This is the best Michael's ever. They are always fully staffed and stocked. The people know what they are talking about (like at a more specialized art supply store) and they are always willing to help but in a not overbearing way. This is my go to if i can make it there. read more

I love the coupons. Instant savings on nearly anything. This time I was looking for a frame, and found several already on sale for a lot less than original retail. So my 40% off coupon wasn't going to get me very far on a sale-priced item. Still, the fellow who stopped to help me told me there was a 20% off everything coupon available online that even worked on sale priced items. Score! I got exactly the 18 x 24 frame I needed for $12. read more

This is one of the new design stores with better lighting, wider aisles, less clutter, easier centralized check out queue etc. Clean and well kept appearance. What a refresshing store environment. Excellent customer service at this location too: highly knowledgeable and friendly management and associates. Superior custom framing department expertise. One caveat: the store is tucked away on the far side of the Kohl's Plaza (across the street from the big shopping center with Trader Joe's in it and Outback Steakhouse etc) but the sign for Michaels on the marquis by the side of the road is so SMALL and discrete (it's the new tan & black understated color scheme vs the old red & white) that is is almost impossible to see when driving quickly, so just look for Kohl's instead! read more

Poor Customer Service. 3 visits and the same thing just different employees. 1. The former frame designer was a man who really knew his craft. He was friendly and knowledgeable. So he left and now there is a person there who just doesn't seem interested in helping me.I was exchanging a ready made frame that was damaged (pre-stripped screws) and left the frame up front. I picked out a new one and took it to framing to open so we could make sure it was not damaged. The person in framing would not come out to see what I needed. In fact she tried to call someone back there and just yelled to me "What do you need?" When she finally came over to help. She said "what do you need, I can measure your art for you." Not friendly at all. When I showed her the NEW frame I wanted to check with a professional framer, she tried to accuse me of damaging it. It was not even used. Then she seemed dense or couldn't understand how to help a customer open the frame. I just left her and the frame to work it out together. The next trip, I walked in to the store and was looking at the sale items by the front, and the cashier leaves her area and comes to stand near me and pretend to organize the bins. No words of hello or greetings, just letting me know she was watching me. Very creepy. I used to work in Micheals frame department and we were always ready to help a customer and greeted them. I want to shop there but this was too much! read more
