I've lived in the area for a couple years now I had no idea a Michael's was hiding in the corner. I ordered a white frame online. Not sure how long it will be on, but I got a 30% off coupon when I signed onto their text list. It was a quick process and I got an email right after I ordered. It took a little longer than expected because it was just one frame for pick up. I called the store and asked how long do online orders for pick up take. The employees who picked up the phone were really nice and patient when they took my call. They told me it will take one hour. I told them I ordered the frame about three hours ago. Then gave me an honest answer that they have not gotten to it yet. I finally got an email confirmation and text about an hour later. When I got there, the store was packed with people buying school supplies. The lines were pretty long, but moved at a good pace because there were at least two employees at the cash registers. I can see why they got to my order so late. I walked around the store because it was my first time there and I have not been to a Michael's in a long time. The store looked heavily stocked with rarely any empty shelves. The store looked clean. Every employee was wearing a mask. They have a lot of sales! I did not find what I needed so I walked to the front. The line was still packed to the cashiers, but there was no line at the area specifically for online orders. I have not even reached the counter yet and the employee who was sitting by the door approached me and asked if I needed anything. I told him I placed an order online. Another employee noticed me and immediately gave him the tablet to check my order. It did not take him long to retrieve my frame. There was one little hole in my frame and the plastic wrapping ripped off from there, but nothing I can't patch up. Overall, good experience. Today, my kids and I were desperately looking for a puzzle. We went to Target they were sold out and we hesrd Walmart was sold out. So I called Michael's Arts and Crafts and was told that they had some. I tried to purvhase online but I was having technical difficulties. I called and spoke to Manager, Stacey....she came through!!! I came to this location on a monday morning at 10:30 am. I came for one thing and realized they didnt have it (no big deal) so I continue to look for other items. At some point I needed to use the restroom. I noticed they had a sign that said the restrooms weren't open at this time. It wasn't a I'm cleaning type of sign. I think I it's a big mistake for businesses to use the pandemic as a reason to close restrooms. I understand that some customers dont necessarily clean up after themselves but it's technically the law to have them if your business can reach a certain capacity. Also, its probably the cost of doing business. I then proceeded to thr front because I needed to leave quickly so I got in line to purchase the items I guess I really didnt need but wanted. I waited and waited and finally noticed someone in a different space but according to her I would have to wait because an online order had been waiting and needed help. I went in today looking for a frame to fit an art piece I purchased at a thrift store. It wasn't quite 9x12 so it wouldn't fit a standard frame. I went to the framing desk to ask for help and the lady that was working there was SO HELPFUL! She found a frame that worked for the odd dimensions of the piece I had AND she went above and beyond to make sure it would close properly by securing it with an additional closure. Last night we Waited in line 25 minutes ! Only 1 cashier open there was 3 people in front of me. Store had allot of employees on the floor arranging the shelves the MANAGER was near by but wouldn't stand up to help. By the time I got to the cashier the line was long still no help !!! read more

This review is for the horrible service I was helped by a younger girl maybe age 18-21 that wore red lip stick. She was so rude when helping me out. The management should really make sure there employees are trained in their people skills before putting them on the floor. I can not believe people even allow this kind of service. The girl just walked away from me mid sentence as I was asking her a question and just responded by a "uh-huh" and walked away. When she was doing a price check for me on a basket, she power walked to the aisle completely leaving me behind. When I then went to an other employer for help, when I asked if they had an item she looked at me like I was stupid for even asking if they had the item. It really ruined my time there. I am SO glad that Michaels moved from their Covina location. Their new location is larger, cleaner, and has so much awesome stuff... it is inspiring! I am able to find nearly everything I need for all of my art/craft supply. The staff is friendly and informative, even going so far as to make sure that there isn't a better deal on similar items. I always lose myself, and my money, when I visit any Michaels location, and this location was no different than the others in that arena. I went in for glitter for a specific project, and thanks to some wonderfully done displays, I wound up with an additional 4 projects to work on, and a much lighter bank account balance. This store feels smaller than some others, but it still had everything I needed (and obviously more). This store has really gone down hill. I would've given it 5 stars just a few months ago but, sadly, that's no longer the case. Product availability is great but staff availability is not. At all. I walked around the entire store and was unable to find a single staff member to help me. This has happened on more than one occasion. To make matters worse, there was only one cashier and a line of about 15 people. The one cashier was working quickly and efficiently but she sure could've used some help. This is very typical of this Michael's location. I plan to start going to Joann's and Hobby Lobby instead. read more

Short and sweet - this Michaels is bright, clean, very well stocked, and has lots of sale and clearance items!! Well that's probably all Michaels stores but I really appreciate the effort they take here to make the store the best it can be. I have been to other craft stores that don't have half the selection as this Michaels. And don't forget your 40% off coupons!! They can be found online and the cashiers will scan them from your phone. The location is not convenient for me but I would certainly go here for my craft needs. read more

This Michaels is pretty big and has good sales (right now, you can download coupons online. You can get 40% off until May 7th I believe). There is plenty of parking. Its somewhat hidden, where you have to go around to get into the parking lot. I definitely like this place better than Joanns! read more

This location is difficult to find, however this is the neatest Michael's I've ever been in. I'm not sure how they do it but they have a festive aroma that smells like Halloween and all of the holiday festivities. The aisles are wide everything is very neat it is late in the afternoon, so many people have been here. The lighting is bright, Store is very well organized. It's very interesting the shopping carts are much smaller than typical retail carts. Prices are awesome, many sale items of merchandise that are in season. The parking lot is huge with ample spaces. Every year during Halloween I'd find myself scrambling to Michael's to pick up last minute items. This year I needed jewels to complete my Dia de Los Muertos makeup and I was able to find them here. Large, spacious, all that you need. Easy find, easy parking. Bad thing is the wait in line. It tends to be long as they are short of cashiers. It's an isolated location so i am not surprise you won't see "hiring now" signs everywhere. It's hard to find someone to help you look for things, so just be aware of that and take your time to look on your own. This Michaels is well-stocked and the staff is very nice. I was pleasantly surprised with how wonderful the staff was despite the Christmas Mayham and my complex situation. I had to return several things that were supposed to be discounted but had not been run up with a discount, and Cynthia was so gracious and her teammate Nancy stepped in to help. I left feeling calm even thoughI thought I was going to be so stressed out about the whole situation. I'm grateful to both of these ladies and will definitely be returning. Wow talk about feeling overwhelmed by the size of this store. Big store but brightly lit and super organized. Their aisle are wide with plenty of space but since I hardly go to these types of store I proceeded to the first employee and showed her my list of items needed for my sons project. The girl was really nice and walked with me to each area where I would find the items I was looking for. How great is that. When i had all the items she walked me to a register and checked me out quickly. I was out of that store in less than 15 minutes !! BAD: some of the busy and seasonal isles were so messy, stuff all over the floors, the merchandise all mixed up. Unable to find help. Not enough employees, or they happen to be hiding that even I went. Overall, I love this store, but the few times that I went, I dont get the help I want. Customer service fail. Just discovered today when reconciling my books that this Michael's location double-charged me for a purchase back on 11/25/17. When I called the store to fix the issue, I spoke to two employees. The first was clearly annoyed and did not know what to do. To my surprise, the second person seemed just as annoyed. I pointed out the irony to her that despite the fact that this is my inconvenience and my money that is missing, that not once did either of them offer an apology or empathy of any kind, which is not an example of good customer service. The employee then responded, "well, it was a computer glitch"; still no apology. I laughed and told her that she completely missed my point. This store accepts competitors coupons, but you can't use a similar coupon to the one they have...so really what's the point? I shop at Joann's instead because they allow you to use as many coupons as you want (competitors coupons too), one per regular-priced item! I won't return to this store because of their one-of-the same-type-coupon policy because why would I use one coupon when I could go somewhere else (Joann's) and use many??? Also, the line is always long due to not enough staff at the registers and the staff is sometimes a little snarky/condescending at this location. They do have a pretty good selection though...so it's unfortunate that their coupon policy sucks. read more

Love this Michael's. Store is always clean and organized, wide aisles. Great selection of items in all categories. Never really see employees around for help, but every time I've been in this store, the layout is so great and items are always there, that I never needed help.
