We needed to have a new microwave installed, and it turned out to a bit of a tricky setup because of the tiling job that was done in the kitchen by our contractor. I contacted Jim's Appliance to have my dryer converted from propane to natural gas. Jim showed up at the appropriate time and began converting the dryer. I asked him if he could change the directions on the doors of the dryer and washer since my new hookups were opposite of my previous house. He said he would give it a go after the conversion. So the first issue I noticed was that he uses an electric impact to loosen and tighten the screws on the machine. This is course causes stripping, which is what happened to one of the door screws. He showed me that it still closes but that he would have to order another screw and come back. I text him a few hours later to see when he would return to fix the problem he created. No response. Several days have gone by and no response. Integrity is a pet peeve of mine. read more

Great service on a Sunday. Whirlpool dishwasher stopped draining. We called Jim, and he was able to come over in one hour. Dishwater needed a new drain pump, Jim had one in his truck ( hooray !). Excellent reply time and work. Had washing machine that would shake very bad in spin cycle. Home warranty sent out Green Wire repair person and made two attempts to repair and they kept stating I was doing very loads. I asked for another company to evaluate issue . Two hours later Jimmy called with bad news, oven is shot! Too much to repair. So I started researching new ovens and Jimmy called an hour later, he found a part and it's half the price he quoted. We have been using Jimmy for all our appliance repair and install needs for about 7 years. He is very professional, courteous and honest. He always follows through to ensure the job is completed to our satisfaction at a reasonable price. We just recently had him replace and install 2 panel ready dishwashers that we have had for 17 years. We could not find the same dishwashers since the brand is not currently available. Jimmy was able to locate comparable dishwashers and worked on our existing wood panels to make them fit the new dishwashers thereby saving us the expense of having to order and purchase new wood panels. It was not an easy install but Jimmy was able to accomplish the task in a timely manner at the price he originally quoted. we have used jim many times and he is always available on short notice and always does a great job! we recently had an issue with our dishwasher and he came same day and replaced a broken part and it seemed to do the job. unfortunately, when i ran a full cycle later, the dishwasher gave me an error message again. when i told jim, he came back the next day to see what was happening. it turns out the initial installation of the dishwasher was done incorrectly and needed to be fixed and more parts needed to be changed out. he came back the next morning to fully fix the issues and didn't charge me for any work other than the initial charge on day one. i highly recommend jim's appliance, he is friendly and professional as well as competent, fair, and timely!!!! read more

What GREAT Service! I had purchased a new slide-in oven / range from Home Depot. When they came out to install it the 2 guys couldn't get the old range to slide out. So they left me hanging and did nothing. I called Jimmy at noon and by 1pm he was at my house! He worked for 2 hours removing the range pieces and discovering the 2 screws that the contractor had used to secure the oven to the subfloor. The oven is removed and everything is great! long story, Jimmy is a 5 Star guy. My mom's washing machine and dishwasher were out of order, Jimmy went out and found she put too much soap in the dishwasher and fixed this. Determined the motor was out on the old washer. He was able to come back the next day and install a new washer. My mom can't hear and I live 2 hours away and did this all over the phone with Jimmy.
