Yummy and super creamy! I only tried the ice cream during this visit. I like that you can get 3 different flavors in a large cup. I got brownie, tres leches, and cajeta. These flavors did not disappoint. There are tons of flavors and the nice employees will allow you to taste test. I saw a sign for crepes and ice cream which sound amazing. I also noticed tons of other treats that I "need" to try. There are a few seats inside and a large parking lot outside. Check 'em out! read more

I thought the strawberry one was too icy however I loved the blackberry and cheese one. It tasted like chunks of cheesecake. Cute dessert place not too far from Fort Worth stockyards. We came here after a visit to the stockyards, we didn't see any good dessert places in that immediate area so we came on Yelp to find this gem! Everything we saw in the downtown Fort Worth were very touristy places we can get anywhere in the world but Michoacan is not like that at all! I got the guava paleta and absolutely loved it- so full of guava flavor!! We also got a mango milkshake which we didn't realize meant it came with a spicy tajin flavor to it, we requested a plain mango milkshake as we ordered and staff was very accommodating to it while explaining how we should order next time. read more

I was offered like 15 different samples of amazingly flavored ice cream. All flavors are made from scratch with different ingredients, not just a standard base with added flavoring. Super cute ice cream shop located in a strip mall in West Saint Paul. The aesthetics of this ice cream shop just screams bubbly & SWEET. They have so much to offer in terms of flavor. There are shakes, smoothies, popsicles and cones/cups (scoops). Be prepared to engrossed in the display of products before ordering. I was blown away by the sufficient amount of goodies this shop has. Everything is neatly organized and labeled. Don't get discouraged by the menu (Spanish), because the staff present are so helpful. Staff do encourage customers to test the flavors and they are very detailed & accommodating. Everything I ordered was prepared for me in a quick manner. All items ordered was beyond delicious. Most flavors were foreign to me, but so worth the experience. I love how their ice cream don't melt as fast. I'll be honest, I've never been to a Michoacana (Mexican ice cream parlor). TIL, there are three of these in the Twin Cities. I managed to get to this one by accidentally getting lost trying to get to Hwy 52 after leaving a Caribou Coffee about 500 ft away and just driving by this place in a strip mall. Seeing the Spanish signage outside convinced me to try this place out. The clientele is primary Hispanic/Mexican. That got me hyped. The menu is also in Spanish. Don't let it discourage you. With a little bit of thinking it through, you can figure out what they're offering. They also have stickers on the glass over the sorbet and ice cream offerings that describe the flavors in English (like subtitles) and they'll let you sample the ice cream. There are several obviously American offerings (Oreo, etc.) but they also have your not as typical offerings for cream-based frozen treats, and then liquid/sorbet-like offerings as well, and IMO, that's what really shines. I got the medium with a mix of tamarind sorbet, tequila (comes with sliced almonds) ice cream, and Ferrero Rocher ice cream. The tamarind had a strong and distinctively sweet/tart taste which was absolutely delicious. The tequila ice cream felt like a shot delivery system but without the alcohol. The Ferrero Rocher was a bit bleh some hints of nuttiness and chocolate, but my theory is that the flavor was on the very bottom of the cup and was completely overwhelmed by the previous two flavors. I also got some popsicles to go. I've been able to try the coconut cream out of the bunch, and the flavor was full and robust and the added shredded coconut. Absolutely delicious as well. According to one of the servers, the ice cream and sorbet (and popsicles/ice cream bars) are made in-house. If that's the case, mad props to these folks. Absolutely amazing flavors. I'm curious as to how the other Michoacanas(?) (forgive my lack of Spanish knowledge) in the Twin Cities stack up. Currently, this is the best place for ice cream and sorbet in the Twin Cities just based on how good and bold the flavors are. I still have to try a lot of established local ice cream fare, but of what I have tried (Izzy's, Sebastian Joe's, and Sweet Science), they're a bit weak in owning the flavors they advertise in comparison to Michoacan a. It's a bit of a drive to come out here, but I certainly see myself coming back out here for some refreshing cold treats if given the opportunity. Addendum: They also serve savory snacks there as well, which I didn't try out. Perhaps worth checking out next time as well. read more

Watermelon popsicle is mouth watering delicious. Yogurt with fruit popsicle was good but the watermelon was by far tastier and juicier. Mangonada was creamy and full of flavor, it just melted too fast. Plain strawberry ice cream was good as always and kept it's coil, didn't melt that fast. Definitely going back for more. read more

We came on a chill Saturday afternoon. It was busy but not too packed. Service was friendly and food was done in a timely manner. La Agua de Fresa was by far the best thing we had. We tried the Elote en vaso as well and it was good, a little dry but not bad. Along with that we had the chicharrón preparado, the cucumber on it added an additional crunch to it. La Agua de Limon con Chia wasn't my favorite, I've had fresher. The atmosphere was very lively and the music was ambient, the variety of cumbias playing made me want to bust out a move.
