What Chipotle is to Mexican food, Mici's is to Italian. If you have kids, this pasta could be good If you are too tired or busy to cook pasta, this would be a good choice for take out for dinner. If you can't cook, this is a good option. The food is solidly OK and not overly expensive. The pasta is not homemade The Alfredo, meatball, & cortonese sauces are good but none were outstanding. The Alfredo is overly milky, as opposed to creamy. The meatball comes with one meatball, which might not seem like a lot but was plenty for me. There is PLENTY of sauce on the pasta. The pasta is not over cooked. The Cesare salad was not overly dressed, however, the dressing was as distinctive as bottled and the croutons tasted like they came out of a box, rather than from the house bread. I have never eaten in this location but I have ordered delivery and I can tell you it is delicious. I feel that they make some of the best calzones in the business. Mici is frustratingly good - it makes me nervous writing a review that more people will discover it! We're always looking for good places to go as a family, and we keep coming back here. Affordable and delicious kids' meals (free on Mondays!), $29 for a large pizza AND a bottle of wine, and gelato all in one place. And the food is legitimately delicious - it's no fly by night pizza joint. And, to top it off, quite literally the friendliest service of just about any restaurant, let alone one that isn't table service. Our hesitation at first that Mici isn't a full service restaurant were wiped away immediately since their service is better than most. They have their hiring practices down, we've only encountered smiles. We now come here once a week and we're always satisfied - and that includes 2 picky kids that are very hard to please! Everything about this place is good. The look and feel of this place is modern and clean. The employees working were pleasant and kind. I ordered the pullizi pizza. I always like to base a pizza joint off a more basic pizza... yet I also wanted pancetta. Pizzas here only take about 8-10 minutes so this is still a destination even if you're in a rush. I was in and out within 30 minutes and I was taking my time. The pizza crust is very crispy and chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. I bet they use 00 flour. The sausage and marinara were all tasty. My favorite part was the pancetta though. Essentially, who doesn't like bacon or its non smokey Italian cousin, pancetta? They also have gelato. Who doesn't like ending a savory and salty pizza with gelato? I'll tell you who. Bad people don't. read more

We have ordered here for years but the last few times the food was so bland and awful. The tortellini was covered in flavorless sauce. Like it could have easily been ragu sauce. Not one bit of seasoning. The malto carne calzone was so dry with almost no sauce and extremely salty. Mici's Cherry Creek has been around along time. First things the gelato is always incredible! I've had probably 15+ flavors and never disappointed. Pizza is good I'd recommend adding provolone if you want the pizza to be cheesy. If your not a cheese person then the amount they do is probably perfect. The delivery team/drivers are super nice. Their is a girl that answered the phone who is super helpful feel bad I forget her name.. but she was polite understanding and gave me perfect suggestion to add provolone to be cheesy. The crust and sauce is really tasty and the ingredients, although a bit light in serving, are very fresh. Not particularly flavorful pasta or sauce. I was forced to clean the table myself (with many tables non-bussed). The help brings the spaghetti 45 seconds after delivering the salad. The salad is unremarkable, consisting of lettuce with lettuce and what appears as store bought dressing. Bread is ordinary. I know we are short on ecviting Italian venues (aside from Piatti and Barolo grill), but after spending over $16, I'm frustrated at myself for committing this. Late Sunday night we decided to order takeout from Mici just down the street. I ordered the Tortellini Alla Miceli (how could you EVER pass up prosciutto and pasta?), and my two friends ordered the Pizza Di Mora Calzone and the Caeser Salad. It took about 40 min delivery, as expected. However, when they showed up they forgot my friend's salad which was a bummer. However, the delivery person was very kind and went back to the store and came back with the salad.. Thankfully, we live just down the street from the restaurant. It would've been unfortunate if we lived a bit further. The Tortellini was delicious, although I wish the portion was a bit larger so I could've had leftovers. I added mushrooms to my pasts and it complimented it perfectly. All in all we had a good experience here. We appreciated the delivery person going back and grabbing the forgotten salad so quickly! I've had dinner this Mici's location a couple of times. I ordered their pizza Margherita once and also a pasta Alfredo. Neither meal was particularly outstanding. Pizza Margherita looks really great when it is cooked with fresh mozzarella, the mixture of sauce and mozzarella can complement each other well and looks cool on the pie. If done right it doesn't need any other flavorings. Thing is, a basic, savory red sauce isn't difficult to make. Mici's red sauce did not have a nice tomato/savory flavor and the result was that the pizza wasn't a particularly noteworthy version of a Margherita. I saved a little for lunch leftovers the next day. It did not improve overnight. They gave me dried Parmesan and crushed red pepper with the pizza??? C'mon, they don't do that in Naples. That's a Domino's move. Try harder. I also had pasta Alfredo which was really kind of bland. White/cream sauces can wash out other flavor, that's the risk of using a cream/butter and cheese as a sauce base. However, Mici's Alfredo didn't even have much flavor in that context. It was almost like I was eating a roux over pasta. I saved a little for left-overs; it had even less flavor the next day. The interior of the restaurant is crisp and clean but seemed like an echo chamber. There were a couple groups with kids in there when I stopped by. It sounded like I was sitting inside a tin can after a while. To that point, it does advertise as a kid-friendly place, and that's cool. I'm actually a little bummed out about writing a negative review. I was hoping something good would stick at this particular location along Colorado Blvd. It's been a revolving door of establishments. There's really no such thing as a convenient location along Colorado Blvd any more unless you like sitting in traffic. And yes, in 2016, one does need to consider the ease of access of a place in Denver. This isn't a great location unless you are walking or taking the bus. And while I have no ill regard toward Mici's or its employees (they were nice and polite,) I won't be going back, nor will I be recommending Mici's to anyone else. read more

Mici serves fantastic italian food. They stick with mostly classics and they seem to do everything well. I love their spaghetti and meatball and the bread it is served with is rustic and flavorful. The sauce is excellent and the headband are tender and flavorful. Their pizzas are founded on a thin crust with high qualify meats and cheeses on top. The mini cannolis are the best I've ever had. Decided to have Sunday Night supper with friends here and honestly, I was SO impressed!! It was not that I didn't have good expectations but it really was just so good that I told my friends it should become our regular spot for Sunday dinners! For food - the lasagna!!! I paired it with the small side Caesar and believe me, there was nothing small about that salad! My friends had the Piatti Antipasti (which was huge and also really good) and the Tortellini Alla Miceli which was incredibly rich but also sooo good! Oh! And we decided to start with the Bruschetta Bianca which was just ridiculously good! An interesting combo with the honey and gorgonzola - but it works so definitely recommend! And to round out our already incredibly filling meal, we of course had to get Gelato because why wouldn't you?!?! I am sure the flavors rotate but if they have the Salted Caramel Oreo and Birthday Cake flavors - GET THEM! Overall - just a great experience! We chose this pizza option because it came highly rated and they happily deliver! - we wanted to make our first sleep over with the grand babies special. Since our little sweeties have "discerning tastes" we ordered both a Cheese and a pepperoni pizza. The little grandson took exception to the use of Italian seasonings that resulted in microscopic "green things!" on the cheese pizza, and almost refused to eat it. I sprinkled one of the very few packets of Parmesan cheese on the piece and that helped a bit. My grand daughter had no issues with the pizza and ate at least two big pieces. She stopped when she ran out of Parmesan. The pepperoni pizza was pretty stingy on the amount of pepperoni, maybe 12 pieces total on a 10", and it was a little spicy for the kids. Overall I was disappointed in the lack of cheese packets and the overall taste of the pizza . It was good but not as tasty as many I have had. I guess I prefer a wood fired, chewier crust as well. This crust was good but almost sweet. Sadly I think we'll keep searching for a different go to pizza spot. read more

I have dined at Mici probably 50x's over the last 5 years. Service is ALWAYS excellent. The staff is literally always friendly and happy when helping me with my orders. The food quality is great. I just really appreciate this place because I usually dine here or order take out after a VERY long work week.
