I went to Mickey fine a few days ago for my COVID-19 vaccine. I was pretty late to getting the vaccine as I got covid at the beginning of the year. I had to wait 90 days and decided to go to Mickey fine as their online registry and paperwork was so easy to fill out. I knew I could trust Mickey fine with such a important task - as I have heard horror stories of big name pharmacies not keeping their vaccines in the right temperature. My husband and I went, met with the owner who checked us in (we were the only ones there) and for the vaccine within 4 minutes of check in. We waited 15 minutes after the vaccine and I did some shopping in their great pharmacy shop. Such an amazing experience, I'm sending all my friends and coworkers here. Thanks MF! read more

Bad customer service. They'll ignore you for 10 minutes before addressing your prescience, have you wait for 20 minutes for them to fill a prescription and then tell you they don't have it stock and they don't know when they'll get it in stock (for a basic medication). Very bizarre place. read more

I dunno. I've been here twice for a shot. I was surprised that the first time I came in the pharmacist did not wear a mask while administering the shot. Today, a man came in, asked for a mask and was totally ignored. Shouldn't a place administering medical vaccine take all precautions? And again, the pharmacist nor person at the desk work masks. I have been using Mickey Fine on Roxbury for many years. The pharmacy employs Jasmine, our Medication Synchronization Ambassador, for many years, which means she coordinations refills on our medications. Jasmine is a remarkably warm and blessedly caring individual in addition to being efficient and consistently reliable. She is always available to help smooth prescription renewal with my sadly balky personal physician. She is patient, persistent and sincerely desires to fill all my needs-and does it with a telephonic smile. I say all this because I have noticed a marked decline in workers attitudes in doctors' offices. The administrative help is often unreliable and often either quit at on a dime's notice or have no work ethic. Stay away we tried to use them for are dogs meds because they were cheaper than Mixedlabs, big mistake are dog has epilepsy and gets seizures the meds phenobarbital the pheno they sold us was bad it looked unmixed with chunks in it we got another bottle same thing they said it was fine, it wasn't he started having seizures again, we went back to Mixedlabs and now he is fine, there drugs are not what they should be at Mickey Fines! Called to see if they carried a medication and when male pharmacist confirmed they had it in stock he had some caveats that I found to be troubling. 1.) They won't fill my prescription if I live more than 10 miles from the pharmacy. Not sure this is even legal, but that is exactly what the pharmacist told me. Once I said that shouldn't be a problem then he came up with another obstacle 2.) "oh, and we don't fill prescriptions for any of those telemed doctors." ...What business is it of theirs what doctor I choose and if I live 11 miles out of town. What does that have to do with providing a patient with a medication they need? This place was recommended to me by my physician who has clearly used them in the past and will make sure he knows that this is the type of feedback I got and to never recommend them to patients again unless it's an emergency. I highly recommend Capitol Drugs on Sunset if anyone wants a lovely and non-judgmental pharmacy experience. read more

Mickey Fine Pharmacy for the win! My doctor ordered a very special cough syrup and sent the prescription to a major chain pharmacy. That evening, we received a text that there was an insurance problem. Called insurance and the medical office the next morning, got an authorization, called the pharmacy back and was told that the medication was out of stock and they couldn't get it. Called the other big chains, and was told they don't carry it. Finally got smart and called Mickey Fine; YES, they had it in stock and could fill the Rx as soon as they received the orders from the doctor. We are very grateful to Mickey Fine. The medicine has made a big difference. read more

This place used to be great, but it's gone downhill. The pharmacist lied about my insurance not covering my costly medications. I ended up paying a large some of money because I needed the medication. I called my insurance and they stated that my medications were in fact covered. When I called the pharmacy back, I asked them to confirm my insurance information so that they could run it. The female pharmacist was exceptionally shady and wouldn't answer any of my questions directly. Eventually, she let it slip that they were not going to run my insurance at all. She wouldn't provide a reason other than "it's policy". Then she had the nerve to say " it's not a big deal, you paid the full price of the medication out of pocket last month" I paid it because they lied and told me my insurance wasn't covering it, they never indicated that they were simply not running the insurance at all. I'm not sure if that's legal for a pharmacy to do, but at a bare minimum it's unethical to purposely lie about the cost of medication. There are a lot of elderly clients at this pharmacy and I would hate to see them taken advantage of. I usually don't like to write negative reviews, but if this can save one person from being scammed by them, then it's worth it. read more

I've been having trouble finding one of my prescriptions in Teva generic at all the big chain pharmacies so I started calling the locally owned pharmacies that had good reviews on yelp. I found this one and gave them a call to inquire if they had my prescription in Teva generic. The guy informs they do carry it and indeed had it in stock. I was pretty thrilled because I had called about 20 pharmacies up to this point. When I get to the pharmacy to fill the prescription, the pharmacist informs me that they never carry Teva generics and suggests that perhaps I didn't ask the correct question or maybe their staff gave me incorrect information. It was definitely the latter. If they can't answer this simple question correctly, I certainly don't trust them to fill my prescription correctly. Luckily, Encore pharmacy is just a few feet away and they had it in stock and were very friendly. read more

My new Pharmacy, what a difference between Micky fine and big box Pharmacies (Walgreens, CVS, etc.). Meds are ready very fast and personalized service. They ordered me a medication that I used to call 25 different pharmacies to find every time I needed to refill, received it in one day. I had to pay $30.00 out of pocket for the first refill. Rite aid charged me $75.00 previously for the same exact order!. read more

I went to Mickey Fine Pharmacy for the first time yesterday. What a warm and efficient group of employees. Jeff and Arlene at the phone and register gave off the most comforting and welcoming energy, so much so that I felt compelled to remark how pleasant it was to meet them at the get-go. Peter, the pharmacist, took the time to listen to my questions directly from me and provided me with clear, informative answers. What I had been led to believe was a complicated prescription for $82 at my former pharmacy, was actually ready to go for $8 with my insurance coverage before I was finished looking at the attractive gift items in the store. Although it was 5:00 on a Friday afternoon, all the customers at Mickey Fine were also exceptionally friendly, as if accepting me into a club of people who simply appreciate kindness and friendliness as a way of doing business. Mickey Fine Pharmacy is the best pharmacy I've ever used. Many, many times they've gone to bat for me, along with my awesome doctors, to get my insurance company to approve coverage for my meds. They fill my prescriptions immediately. They have curbside service if you need it (tip them!). They can even ship your meds if you're out of their delivery zone - I called in a prescription yesterday afternoon, was more than willing to pay the $15 shipping fee, and received my meds at my doorstep early this morning. I can't believe I have waited so long to be a Mickey Fine customer. I have lived in the neighborhood for decades and I never thought to have my prescription filled at my neighborhood pharmacy, until today. I usually head to the big chain pharmacy and am so used to that type of pathetic service. I was expecting a long line, a staff that couldn't care less, a long wait to drop off the prescription, another long wait to pick it up. I was expecting that but instead I got just the opposite at Mickey Fine. I had a top notch and dare I say, a beautiful experience at the pharmacy on Roxbury. First off I literally walked up to the Pharmacist and handed the prescription to him. No line. Don't get me wrong, the pharmacy was packed with customers. People were enjoying their lunch at the grille (this deserves its own review because hand to God, the food is DELICIOUS), other patients were picking up scripts, others were ordering their medication...you get the picture. The place was busy, but not one customer was overlooked. To make a long review short-I had my prescription filled and payed for in less than 8 minutes. During my minimal wait, I looked around the store which is stocked full of hard to find brands of beauty, OTC products, and a great selection of VoluSpa candles. If the prescription had taken longer to fill, I could have written more about the unique products this Phrmacy stocks but whatever. I am now and forever on a Mickey Fine customer. I've been to this pharmacy a few times since our pediatrician is in the same building and I've always had a great experience here. First of all, I love the convenience! They take insurance and their prices are great. And they fill prescriptions in under ten minutes -- something I've never seen at the chain pharmacies. They have a good variety of beauty products, candles, knick-knacks and toys to keep you busy while you wait. read more

By far prefer the warmth and friendliness of the Avenue of the Stars Mickey Fine location. However, I had to transfer my prescriptions here. Yesterday I called this location for a refill and was asked to come by tomorrow. Sure. Considering that I would be picking up on New Year's Eve I asked what time the pharmacy would be closing and was told 5:30pm. The morning of, on New Year's Eve I received a call noting that my prescription was ready! Great! After driving 30 minutes completely out of my way, I arrive at 4:52 pm to a completely dark pharmacy. The only sign of life was a note on the door stating that the pharmacy would be closing at 5pm, not 5:30 as I was instructed. In any case, it was not yet 5pm and the entire place was desolate. I understand that it may have been slow in the pharmacy considering the holiday, but the hours of operation that are communicated to customers are equally as important. Not to mention that the person who called to confirm my prescription was ready should have also noted the early closure. In that event I would have arrived well before the end of day. read more

WORST PHARMACY I've ever been to. I would rather go to CVS then deal with these idiots. Nothing is ever ready when I go to pick it up. Often times, they don't even have know about my order and everyone in the pharmacy plays dumb. Then who did I speak to? The owner of the pharmacy, Jeff, barely acknowledges your complaint and pretends to address it. ZERO customer satisfaction. Awful customer service. Everyone in the pharmacy looks lost. read more
