If I could give a lower score then one starI would, I just spoke to the manager Brian over the phone and he gave me a ballpark on tool exhaust for my vehicle that's a ballpark price, so I proceeded down to the location which is on Main Street and Brian was not there waited almost 40 minutes after the technician looked at my car and was never given a price I was told that the price for the muffler is for being checked on but the thing is we never came to the discussion of what mufflers I needed or if I need a glass packs which was discussed between myself and Brian. I left my phone number with the assistant manager I believe he was for Brian to call me back I waited almost 3 hours and never got a call back so I called and Brian was in, he apologize profusely for the confusion and promised four times that he would call me within a few hours to give me a price. Of course as I expected I never received a call back, So two days later which is today I called Brian back and he gave me some weird excuse and story that the mufflers were too expensive and he was waiting for a quote and some other long-winded mumbo-jumbo which is all a bunch of bull because we never decided on what Mufflers or even if I was going to get Mufflers put on the car instead of glass packs. I explain to him that I was very displeased and then I felt he was making excuses and basically lying to me he then said I'm hanging up and hung up. I called corporate and filed a complaint let's see what happens it's obvious that this manager does not care about keeping customers happy. The fantastic news is I'm leavingCherokee muffler where they put a full tool exhaust system with flow masters and chrome tips for $450 do you self a favor if you're in the Atlanta area go to Cherokee muffler these guys I've been a business forever and they're extremely nice and fair and give you the straight dope they don't lie to you. read more

I took my van to the this location because it was cutting off and the throdle light Kept showing up on my dashboard. First visit cost me $233 They replaced a switch. Two miles down the road the same issue continued to reemerge. After a total of about 8-9 of stopping by the store and dropping of the vehicle an additional two times , I ended up spending another $877 for Labor and parts , only to drive less than a mile down the road and face the same issue. I missed work , I ended up renting a Truck , I spent about $90 in ubers back and forth only to be given a third possible explanation as to what it was needed to be fixed . I chose to pass that experiment and after being promised that I would be given a complete refund on the last uneccessary repairs, I have spent over two months trying to get a response from the district manager and my money It is all a Joke to them , I filed a complaint with the company, I have a case number but received no response. The district manager is a fraud. He has a poster in the corner of the store with his name and phone number urging customers to reach out to him because he's so concerned about any issues. Bullshit , I have texted him emailed , left him many voice messages and it's been over two months and out of any kind of respect or professional curtousy hes yet to respond. Not even to tell me he has reviewed the case and he decided I'm not entitled to a refund, although the manager has requested Im entitled to one , but since it's over $100 the district manager has to approve it . Stay away from that place . I was left with no other option but to file a lawsuit and let a judge decide . As much as I like Briam and do not think he has intentionally misdiagnosed the problem or tried to rip me of the end resiyis that I'm out of over $1000 and my vehicle is in the same condition as it was three months ago . read more

STAY AWAY! I took my truck in for diagnosis and repairs for a blinking "check engine" light. Authorized over $700 of work on a Monday. Left the truck that week since I went back to college. I called on Thursday as no one called me to update me on the repair progress. The manager indicated truck was fixed and to come pick it up. Picked up truck Friday afternoon. Drove around the block and the check engine light came back on blinking. Took truck back to Midas. Waited 2 1/2 hours. Manager indicated Truck was fixed and ready to go. Drove it home. Next morning, took truck out on highway and check engine light back again, blinking. Returned to Midas. Spoke with Management again. Now I was told major internal engine issue, the repair would exceed the cost of the value of the vehicle. The assistant manager apologized for authorizing work that, while being a necessary repair, did not address the main issue of the internal engine problem. He told me in no uncertain terms that he would refund the $700. After numerous calls and no refund, my mother received a call from the regional manager saying that no refund would be given. My main issue is that I was charged for a repair that did not fix the problem that my vehicle was having. There was no testing after they replaced the coils. They should have realized that there was a larger issue at play than coils misfiring. The assistant manager I spoke with initially understood this and promised compensation, but the regional manager in charge of refunding did not follow through. The new manager at this location is incompetent with both customer service and communicating to his staff both above and below him. Shame on you Midas for attempting to take advantage of a young, strapping college lad. read more

I came in because my battery was not charging from my alternator, They did not test my alternator before they replaced it. Replacing the alternator did not fix the problem so I returned for diagnosis. The diagnosis was "I don't know maybe you have a bad ground connection but I couldn't find it, try changing the battery terminal". I am walking through snow today without $532 because these people are incompetent and deserve bankruptcy. read more

Sad that this place is so poorly run; it's a block from my house. I dropped my car off at 11am for an oil change (I had a $17.99 Valpak coupon) and emissions check. They said they would call when it was ready... Well, 6 hours later and no phone call, my wife walks up there to check the car and they had just finished the emissions. They ring her up and she notices the price seems steep and asks if she is getting charged the coupon price and the man confirms she is. The GM, Steve, comes to her with a smug attitude and tells her that the car failed the emissions test and a $60 diagnostics test was needed. She refused the test so she could review with me. I noticed that the test failed due to "unable to connect". I also noticed that the oil change was charged full price. I returned the next morning to correct both of these issues. First, I was offered a future free oil change and told that a refund was not possible. After convincing Steve that it was possible, he made 3 phone calls and processed my refund. I took my car to another emissions place less than a mile away and within 30 seconds he replaced my fuse and got it connected to his devise. Shouldn't the Midas mechanics be able to detect this? Not without a $60 diagnostic test! Dishonest, untimely, and unprofessional makes this business one to avoid! read more

I honestly don't think they have a certified mechanic in this building. Out of courtesy for the possible customers reading this review, I'll try my best to keep it short and simple on why you should never visit this place. Came in to check out what was wrong with my car because i was having a huge issue with the brakes. It takes them two full days to figure out what's going on because "they got a late start". I have to call later that day to find out what is actually wrong with the car and they say that a brake line has to be replaced. They never call to give me updates, I have to call them every time. 1 brake line turned into 2, then the next day they claim that they went ahead and replaced FOUR of them. Two extra brake lines were replaced without my consent, and they made me pay for them. So I pay the extremely steep bill (they threw in a free oil change coupon, woo hoo) and drive home. The minute I get out of the parking lot the car feels funky. I drive it home because I can not be without a car for the fourth day. By the time I get on the highway, I have to press down so hard on the brakes that they don't even register until there is about 1/2 inch until they hit the floor. The car is making a horrible rattling noise at this point. Then comes the glorious 5th day, I manage to drive my rattling death box home from work and make the decision to spend MORE money to tow it back to Midas. We asked for the manager and apparently he is located in Ohio. So we speak to the next highest up employee and he greeted us with hostility when he saw the car towed back. He spouted a bunch of BS about how it couldn't possibly be the brake lines that they just installed, but it must be some other thing that has to be replaced. The dude then starts claiming that the car is so old and rusted and that's the problem with it. He finally has a "mechanic" bleed the brake lines (that they apparently bled four times) and the car is drivable at this point. DO NOT COME HERE!!! These people do not care about the customers, they care about money. Do not put yourself in danger by getting your car serviced here. read more

Unfortunately I read the reviews after getting my car serviced. I went in for an oil change, difficulty starting the car, and a problem with steering. The customer service was lackluster compared to other places around. No one greeted me or indicated that someone would be with me, to the point that I had to go into the garage to get someone's attention despite their ability to see me in the window. No one called to give me updates on the status of the car until I called myself twice ( I at least wanted an estimate of how long it would take a few hours, days, what?). But the worst part is that my car was worse after getting it fixed. The car started, but the steering problem was immediately worse which prompted me to look at the YELP reviews. I saw several people had similar experiences with customer service and not having their car problems resolved. I didn't want a repeat experience of waiting without feedback and the issue not getting things fixed. So I drove my car to a different company that had better reviews. I reported the same exact symptoms as I did at this company. The mechanic immediately identified the problem, told me exactly how long it would take to fix- 1 hour as opposed to zero feedback from Midas for a job that took all day. I was out of the new shop in less than an hour and the issue was resolved. I'll never go back to Midas despite the convenience of the location. It might have helped of the company attempted to improve its customer service, but the supervisor and staff I interacted with came across as cocky, impatient, and annoyed that I called for feedback on my car after 2 hours of waiting to hear about it. Furthermore, they did not appropriately assess the steering concern which is a bigger problem. Also, when I mentioned a possible problem with my heater blowing out cold air when idle or at low speeds, the mechanic literally asked if I have the vents open! I know how to operate the heater in my own car! Yet again, I present the same exact concern to someone else and immediately they identified the problem and solution. The staff at the new company completely validated all my concerns and objectively fixed the problem, whereas the staff at Midas seemed to act like they never heard of the complaints being legitimate problems. I gave them one star because they did fix the starter. read more

Called them last week to make an appointment to get my brakes done, was told at that time I didn't need an appointment, just come by whenever. Showed up 2 days later, waited at the front desk for 15 minutes, no one spoke to me. Finally went into the garage to see if someone would help me - the "front desk clerk" was completely unapologetic to the fact that I had waited for so long without being helped, and even discouraged my business by saying they wouldn't get to my car for several hours. I would appreciate the honesty if he just wanted to make sure I was okay waiting, but that clearly was not the case in this situation. If they are trying to turn away business, great job. Terrible customer service, will never give them my business, very disappointing. read more

I stopped by on the way home from work to get an emissions test and was told that they had just finished the car ahead of me and that I was next. One hour and twenty minutes later, test completed, I left. I've been getting these annual tests done on multiple cars since they started requiring them and it never takes more than ten minutes. It's a simple test that takes zero mechanical skill to complete. I don't know if they are lazy or incompetent or both, but you would be better off setting your car on fire and riding around on a donkey than going here. The one star is because they have plenty of seating. With this type of service, they need it. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

What is the point of scheduling an appointment if you go there and then get told they don't know you scheduled an appointment. Did not get a phone call confirming my appointment and then on arriving, they tell me they cant get to my car for another hour. If you have to plan your day around your appointments, Midas might not be the place to go as they will put a wrench in the rest of your day. Second time is happening. First time I went their, attendant told me I scheduled an appointment for 4am but of course there is no 4am option on their website. I won't be returning here. read more

I absolutely dread to go to non-dealerships car-services providers, mainly because Their waiting rooms don't have all the pampering conveniences that the dealerships offer. However my Toyota Tacoma needed an oil change and I decided to give Midas a try. I called a day before and booked an appointment for the next day at 9:00 am. Appearance gets a B+ for cleanliness, presentation, very basic and nothing to complain about. I was greeted by Preston and Leo and these guys are awesome!!! They are true professionals and courteous. I've heard this place is under new management and I feel there a positive change already in motion. Soon they will gain back their reputation and in no time get a 5 stars review on Yelp. They show that they care about every customer that walked through their door. They take their time questioning, explaining and assessing the situation. I am glad I found this place and I shall return again. I truly recommend this Midas. Leo and Preston will take good care of you. By the way, I forgot to mention that in less than 30 minutes my oil change was done, tires rotation the whole nine-yard. I am a happy customer!! Thank you!!! read more

I got a flat tire on my way to work at 6:30 am recently and I managed to drive on the rim for 2 miles to this location. Even though I arrived before they were open, without an appointment, they took care of replacing my tire and checking the rim and alignment in less than an hour. Since they have opened I have used this midas for all our oil changes and a few repairs. They are fast, honest and affordable. A lot cheaper than the dealer or even Walmart. Plus they have free WiFi. Very friendly service. My neighbors and many others around the area like them too. For a good reason. They have coupons and deals all the time. Earn free service after every 5-6 services. I don't even bother going anywhere else. They are awesome! I wish I left this review sooner. read more

Clearly they have an issue to address at a corporate level and are too worried about unnecessarily up-selling me on tires I know I don't need. They have lost my trust as the mechanics are leaving because of management... I will follow these guys to where ever they end up, unless it is another Midas. Went there today for a Emission test. They had a blue truck out front with logo's on the side advertising "Emissions $15.99" needless to say I stopped by on my way home. I waited 45+minutes for them to complete a 5 minute Emission test. Then they told me my vehicle was done and they charged me $20 for the test. When I asked what about their advertising stating $15.99 the guy told me that the truck was from a different store and they just parked it at the street since there is no other parking. Wow! We do not need crooked businesses like this in Alpharetta, false advertising, pathetic service, I am shocked that they are still in business. read more

Where to begin... Came in for an oil change and waited foreverrrr for it. Then I was told that I needed about five huge items. I agreed to changing my antifreeze since I drive up north on a regular basis. Well the fun began the next day when my car started leaking on the floor of the passenger seat. I immediately drove in and was told the antifreeze was leaking which required 8 hours of work $$$$. I leaned in and smelled and thought, strange that looks like water. He was adamant about changing out my heater core I never had any problems until they touched my car. Anyway, my husband came over and he actually tasted the fluid and yep. It was water. The guy said oh hmm well it must be a leak in your sunroof. Blah blah blah. Needless to say I went to the dealership and was told the weather strip was torn off under the hood and required a five min free fix. Oh and the antifreeze they used was the wrong type for my car.. Great :(I will NEVER return. Stay away. Major ripoff and they have no clue what they are doing. read more

Midas just took over this property, just down the street from me. I had an initial bad experience in the form of a 2 hour oil change as I waited, but they gave it to me for 9 bucks due to the wait. My vehicle recently broke down, needed a new radiator, so I had it towed here. Dave took the time to show me exactly what was wrong with it, and knocked down the price significantly using coupons and other discounts to make it more affordable. Highly recommend. read more

Absolutely horrible place. They have no skilled mechanics and they will rip you off. I had a problem with my car air conditioning, this was my first(and of course last) time I went to Midas at this place. I asked them to check first if AC compressor is coming on or not because I know that its not coming on. They said they have to recharge the AC system to check for leaks, I asked can you first check the compressor coming on or not and they said, before they do anything, they have to refill the fryon and recharge the AC system and check for leaks, cost me $120 and guess what there was no leaks and the guy said he doesn't know whats the problem, I asked again, if the compressor coming on? he said, it looks like it is coming on. Then he said I have to bring the car back tomorrow for further diagnosis. I paid $120 and took the car to them next day, after some more time they told me its the Relay for the compressor gone bad and that's why compressor is not coming on. And to replace the relay they said they will have to recharge the AC again which will cost another $120 + replacement of the relay. I didn't know much so I said ok, but then I asked around my in my office and my colleague told me they shouldn't have to recharge the AC twice just to replace the relay. When I went to the shop and asked him, he said the extra $200 is just for placing the relay. ($50 for the relay and $147 for labor) Clearly he was hiding the amount charge of their second time AC refill efforts into the labor cost of Relay replacement, He was getting money from me for their own mistakes and incompetency. I think it was very unethical to take people's advantage like that. Overall they took $320 from me, just to replace the compressor relay. I would never go back to this place, in fact I have to report to consumer court that Midas is doing this to people. This is wrong and has to be stopped. Not only they are inefficient, unskilled, incompetent, but also they are very arrogant . I generally never get into situations like this but unfortunately it happened to me and I would like to help others to stay away from these people and such experiences. read more

I went there for an emissions inspection, and when I pulled in the guy in the lot acted like he had no idea what I was talking about... I should have left right then but I was in a rush. Anyway the guy told me I had to talk to the manager inside so I parked and went inside and after spending 5-10 minutes checking in (even with no one in line... ugh), I handed off my keys. Then I watched the manager gave them to a guy in the back (Dave) who then proceeded to chit chat with the other employees for a solid 10 minutes before he even started working on my car. But the worst part is that when I was paying, Dave was rude enough to take a call instead of putting the caller on hold and then held my receipt hostage for several minutes while on the call. And here's the exciting conclusion: when he finally hung up the phone, all he did was put my receipt in a coupon book and hand it to me. I couldn't believe that he made me wait for that. Moral of the story: they don't know what they're doing; go somewhere else. read more

Three times I've brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation and I've been given different reasons which I think are excuses for not rotating the tires. So unless I pay more to have something done like alignment or struts they refuse to rotate the tires Since my cars alignment may be off or the struts are not to their satisfaction they won't rotate my tires. They just refused. Unfortunately I didn't realize this the last time when I went in with my new tires and they didn't rotate the tires and now my new (less than 1 year) almost $500 tires are pretty much shot. I feel like the guy is bullying me. Berating me on the up sales that I'm not going to pay them to do. I won't be back. Heaven forbid my wife comes in here. So now they don't take my payment for the $20 oil change as if that makes up for my tires. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I wish I'd never gone in. read more
