warning! Don't go if you never go there before! First of all, I made an appointment online on Thursday and on the website it said that they will contact me within 24 hours to confirm the schedule. Well, they never call so I went to the store, and they said they can squeeze and put me at 1130 while my appointment was at 10. Second, I bought four new tires in a tire store, and I did the four wheel alignment in my dealer two months ago so everything was fine. Since I spent one thousand on the new tires, I would like to make sure all the wheels are align. Then I went to Midas. After waiting for 45 minutes, they said it's all set and charged me more than 100 bucks then I went home. On the way back, I found out the wheels pull to the right, so they mess up everything. Then I went back to the store 3 times, yes, 3 times and spent 1 more hours waiting for no signs of correction. They said the new tires might be defective so I went back to the tire store and talked to the guys there. They rotate the tires times even though they know it's not their fault(it was good until I went to Midas) . After one more hours the manager talked to me saying he tried Midas before and they couldn't do the job right, so he introduce me to another store and is willing to pay for my alignment. What a big difference between the two stores. So I will never go back and tell everyone I know to keep them away from such a terrible store and spend their money wisely. read more

I was there on the same date as Cornelius G. on Dec 15th (please read his review further down and saw his truck being dropped off by the tow truck in the rain). I had stopped by earlier in the week on Tuesday after work to have an inspection. They told me that I need new front struts and front passenger tie-rod with an estimate of over $1,000. I balked at the price, and he said that I could get them done separately, but recommended I get the tie-rod replaced sooner than later. I said ok and made the appointment for Saturday at noon. I arrived 5 mins early, and since he had told me on Tuesday that the tie-rod replacement would only take 1 hour to 1.5 hours, I walked over to Eastern Bay Chinese to have lunch and wait. After I was done with my meal and had a second pot of tea, about 1.25 later, I noticed that my Jeep Compass was in the same place where I parked. I walked back over and after talking with the guy, he said that he ordered the part an hour before my appointment and it still hadn't arrived. I was very angry that they hadn't ordered the part when I made my appointment earlier in the week & hadn't let me know that they were still waiting for the part when I arrived, especially since I had limited time before Christmas to get presents. As far as car service goes this Midas location was great. They changed my oil in a very timely manner and were accommodating with my work schedule as I had to drop it off after hours and pick up my vehicle the next day. They also did a complimentary inspection and gave me an accurate estimate of what needed to be fixed on the car. (I got a second opinion from my trusted mechanic and everything lined up). The staff is a little rough around the edges for lack of a better phrase, but that is to be expected in this industry. I used a coupon to get my oil changed it only cost me $19.99. This location has great service, a friendly staff, and reasonable prices. However, I went for a simple oil change on a quiet/not busy day and it took 1.5 hours. So make sure you have time on your hands. read more

I've been going to this Midas for a little over a year now. I'm always greeted when I first arrive and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The services are completed in a timely manner which is great as I have a busy schedule. I actually earned my free oil change this past visit, and everyone likes free! After 6 oil changes, the 7th is free. That seems like a good deal to me. I'm always told of any issues and I'm given a quote, and they all have been reasonable. Don't give these scumbags your money. I went in for a new tire for a Jetta and THEY PUT THE WRONG SIZE TIRE ON. I was talking to the manager while we waited, told him how we were moving the next day, driving 600 miles with our baby, who was there in the store with us. We make the trip, and I have to take the car in again for something different. This mechanic, at a Goodyear, tells me THE IDIOT AT MIDAS PUT THE WRONG SIZE TIRE ON MY CAR. This was four weeks ago. I've called and spoken with the manager several times, and he's well aware that the wrong tire was put on my car - because he remembers the technician was having trouble getting the tire to fit... and for some reason he didn't bother to check. Four weeks now, and this a-hole has done nothing but give me the runaround. He wanted ME to take the tire to a UPS, pay $100 to ship it, and then he'd give me a refund for the tire, but not the labor. I said no, and he still hasn't mailed me a shipping label, STILL has not once called me back - I keep having to call him. This a-hole will screw you over. He's a horrible businessman without an iota of honesty or integrity. read more

WARNING: Terrible experience!! This location might be okay for something simple like an oil change but I WOULD not go there for anything more complicated than that. I went in knowing something was wrong with my brakes and they did an inspection. The back brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced (of which was fine and I figured that would be needed). The estimate came out to about 900 dollars of which my jaw dropped because I was expecting a couple hundred dollars at most. They tried to sell me these "special" brake pads because of the high miles I put on my car for work. Basically they were 3 times as expensive and I had already told them I probably will not have the car for more than a year so the basic pads were fine. They also told me that my front rotors had small grooves on them which could be contributing to some of the squeaking I had been hearing. I decided to just replace the back rotors and pads because of the cost still being higher than I thought it would be and left the shop. About three minutes after leaving, I receive a call from the store manager informing me that his technician hit my front rotor with a hammer and it was now dented. If the front rotor was not squeaking before, it certainly would be now. So even though I asked them not to replace the front rotors, this technician's mistake put me in a situation where I absolutely had to replace the front rotors AKA 200 dollars more. Long story short, two brake pads and four rotors cost me almost 600 dollars because of a "technician's mistake"..... I don't know a ton about cars but I know you don't hit a rotor with a hammer. Most rotors just pull off or you lightly tap them with a rubber mallet or something. Will not be returning to this Midas or any other Midas in the future. The customer service was great! I came in with a flat tire and they got me right in. The reason I give them only 2 stars is because they advised me that my tire couldn't be fixed (I had picked up a piece of metal). I paid the $120 for a new tire. Luckily I kept my old tire and brought it to my hometown shop. They repaired the tire with no problem and advised me that any shop should have been able to repair it. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. Took my car in to get all four brake pads and rotors replaced and got my quote on Thursday night and was told that it would be ready on Friday morning. It wasn't ready on Friday morning and they ended up breaking a part of my vehicle while performing a routine brake replacement. The manager went out to get the broken part to replace it in my vehicle since they didn't have any in stock, and ended up getting the wrong one. Because of this, they kept my car there over the weekend while waiting on the part to be shipped in. Monday rolls around and the part still isn't in and doesn't end up coming in until FRIDAY. On top of this, they acted as if they bore no responsibility in this situation at all and there was no inconvenience. I had to struggle and haggle with them multiple times just to get them to cover the cost of a rental car for the week so I could at least drive to work. I would never take my car back to this Midas or any Midas in general after this experience. I can understand the mistake made to a point, but the miserable customer experience and total lack of accountability there was unbelievable to me. read more

I have found them on two occasions to be honest and forthright and their work excellent. They never suggest repairs on anything that doesn't need to be done (unlike my dealer!)and only make suggestions on repairs that may need my attention by next oil change. On my first visit, I gave them a long list of repairs that my dealer said I needed. After they checked my car, it turned out a lot of the repairs weren't necessary. My car ran perfectly with what they did fix. Woman or not, it's nice to finally find a car service that can be trusted. I love these guys! read more

I went in to get an oil change and the manager tried to convince me that I needed new brake pads (on all four brakes) and new tires. Let me make it clear, I HATE when mechanics think I'm an easy target and assume a 20s-y-o woman doesn't know anything about cars. I told him I didn't think those things were necessary, and he literally wouldn't take no for an answer. He starting talking about how my brakes could go at any second and I was in so much danger...they weren't even squeaking yet! (And they're still fine, a month later.) So since apparently the manager believes that women are idiots and can't make good car repair decisions, I said "Okay, I'll have my boyfriend look at them tonight to check if you're right," paid for my oil change, and left. Literally, they wouldn't take my car off the lift until I made it clear I was going to involve other men in the decision-making process. Never going back there!
