The manager/Owner/Bald Guy has no business in customer service. He's rude and condescending. Mistake #1: taking my car there for new tires through there 6 months no intrest program. He didn't explain anything to my wife and I and just put some random tires on the car without talking to us about our operations. We qualified for $500 so our bill was exactly $500. Mistake #2: my car is a 2014 Nissan Sentra with 55,000 miles at the time my tires were installed. A week later my front wheels were making noises so I took it back to find out what was wrong. Like the first time, no customer service skills. I told him what was going on and I decided to take a mechanic with me on the road so he could understand the problem. I came back to the shop and he spoke to the mechanic without me. He then insisted the mechanic take it out on a test drive with another mechanic, which they did and He mysteriously left in another car leaving the store unattended and all three of them came back at the same time (very suspicious) they ended up jacking up the front tires to do some tests and came up with the wheel bearing are bad. I didn't want them to do the work because of his shady attitude. When I started my car to leave all the lights on my dashboard where lite up. Now I have another problem that I didn't have before I got there. After 30min of them trying to turn them off I left and had the work done somewhere else. Shortly after having the wheel bearing replacement the front of my car is making more noise again. So I took it back to see what he would say and now the struts are bad and need to be changed. Its crazy how I went from getting new tires to having to change front wheel bearing and struts after I took my car here the first time. Must be bad luck. My car only had 60,000 at this point so I had the mechanic that changed my wheel bearing take care of it. Mistake #3: I got a flat on the freeway yesterday and so today I went back to midas too see if there is a warranty on the tire and mr. No personality is looking at me from the bay and then walks over to me without even saying hi or anything. So I showed him the tire and paperwork and asked him him the tire was under warranty. He checked the mileage and mumbled, its under warranty and that he would have to order the tire and I would cost $75 installed, the invoice says $69.99 for each tire. He gave me my paperwork back and walked away without any explanation of the warranty or why I would have to pay $75 if the tire is under some kind of warranty. So I left and went to where I should have gone to originally, Rene's Tire in La Puente. I got a new tire and a rotation of the other 3 tires for $55 out the door. I don't write reviews normally but this guy is out of control with his lack of professionalism and customer service skills. Stop talking to your customers about the mechanics at Honest One across from you and worry about how you run your location because you're not doing Midas any favors. read more

I agree with the other negative reviews on this page... Go somewhere else! I gave this place two chances to earn my business and both times I ended up walking out after dealing with the new owner, "Nitin Patel." First time I walked in and there was no one else there. He looked at me without saying a word and kept about his business for a good 5 minutes and then came out to see what I needed. I'm sorry, but that is terrible customer service. If he was that busy, the least he could have done was say "Hi, I'm just finishing something up, give me a couple minutes and I'll be right with you." You don't have to have super customer service skills, it's just common courtesy to acknowledge a customer. Anyway, my first experience was similar to the previous reviewer who said they would not rotate her tires with the oil change because they were bald. In my case, they also proceeded to quote me for a new set of tires to the tune of $800. I disagreed with their opinion and decided to go somewhere else. This time, I went in for an oil change again. The waiting room was full and he was working so inefficiently and seemed irritated to see another customer come in. Long story short, I told him that I needed a basic oil change and had a coupon for $19.99. He saw the car I was driving and said that it took synthetic oil and said that it would be $60 for an oil change. I just said, "No it doesn't take synthetic" as I was walking out the door. I wasn't going to argue with him and that just really put the nail in the coffin for me. My suggestion would be to try one of the other local auto service businesses. But Stay away from Perfect Auto in Diamond Bar too... they are notorious for ripping people. read more

We were on our way to Knotts Berry Farm with an excited 7-year-old. We had to cancel on him the day before because of car issues, so today was the 2nd attempt with the other car. Unfortunately, my back tire blew out on the freeway. This was the closest tire spot. As soon as we parked, Nitin came out to meet us at the car, looked at my tire, and told us that he didn't have any of that tire in stock, but would double check. He checked the inventory, told us that we were unfortunately out of luck, but wrote down the tire number as well as the phone number of a competitor up the street. Nitin told us that he really wanted to help us get to Knotts, and to call the other tire shop to ask if they had what we needed. We were in and out in less than 5 minutes, didn't have to get back on the freeway, and received equally great service at the next place. Nitin didn't have to do that at all, but really seemed to want to help us. Very classy. I was impressed and became a new fan of Midas service. Thanks, Nitin! read more

So as a working mom, time is golden. Yesterday morning while dropping off my daughters to school my car was acting funny and I new I had to bring it in for an oil change. I had a long day ahead of me with work and a long commute to LA, so i had to get it taken care of asap. I looked online and called a local business, they could not tell me what time I could come it, or how long it would take. I asked for an appointment and they couldn't guarantee it. Wut?! I called Midas in Diamond Bar and asked how soon I could bring my car, and they said "you could bring it in right now". I went in and Nitin and the staff were so helpful. I happened to have my german shepard with me because she ran out as I was taking my grls to school and decided to bring her along for a (quick...) morning drive. Nitin and has staff were so welcoming (even to my dog), and explained everything in detail to me to be sure I understood my cars needs!!! I got a fair price, they completed the job withing good timing, and provided GREAT service. Not to mention, I asked if they were still sponsoring local teams, after noticing a sponsorship plaque on their wall, and Nitin signed up to sponsor my daughters little league team!!!! OMG!!! I have been to the Midas in Diamond Bar numerous time for different issues on both of my vehicles. Nitin, the service manager, was always polite and serviced my vehicle within the estimated time. I had the occasion to return the vehicle to the Midas, for what I thought was a mistake on the service. They quickly evaluated the problem and it was discovered it was unrelated to the initial repair. The service department completed the minor repair for free. Nitin and the mechanics, especially John, happily escorted me to my vehicle to show me problems and recommended services to correct the problem. I highly recommend them for wheel alignments, shocks, brakes, belts, and fluid changes. You will get the services completed faster than any dealer and at a better price. read more

Nitin, Rigo, and Tom have given me great and honest service. I know quite a bit about cars and motorcycles, but don't have time right now to do the work myself as I usually do. I can tell when someone is trying to inflate a bill by suggesting unnecessary repairs. These guys DON'T do that. They gave me the options concerning a price range of various parts and made reasonable suggestions across the board given my situation. I have been treated well and my repairs have gone smoothly with no problem. The work has always been done on time or early and top notch quality. My parents have been telling me about this place for years and since I lived in Houston, Texas, I never had a personal experience to draw from. Well, I just moved to Southern California and needed repair on my BMW 325ci. I was actually "scared" to bring a high-end car to a "Midas". I mean , after all, Midas only does mufflers right? WRONG. Excellent brake service! Nitin and the staff here are both friendly and professional. In December I had brought my 2000 Chevy Cavalier in after my brakes began locking up for no reason. Net result, having my front and back brakes repaired. After a couple weeks, I began to experience the same issue. I took my car back to Midas Diamond Bar and explained what was happening. Instead of just taking me keys and sending me on my way, they had a technician go on a short drive around the parking lot with me so he could experience what I had described. This little extra time helped the technician quickly discover that it was a warped brake drum. Since it was a faulty part, Nitin offered the replacement free of charge, which was greatly appreciated. Today many businesses make you feel like a number and a dollar sign, but not Midas Diamond Bar. They took the time and went above and beyond my expectations to first properly diagnose then correct the problem. While there are closer repair shops to my home, the little extra drive is well worth it for the integrity of the owner and service. Nitin Patel caused me a lot of headache and money. I was hearing a noise from my breaks when i would be about to drive off. so i went to Midas and Nitan Patel told me that my breaks are cheap and my back breaks are wearing off. and that my struts need to be changed because there leaking. long story short adding up the bill to more then a $1000. and just for telling me this information. i payed about 30 to 35 dollars, after a couple of days went to another mechanic after buying my own breaks just to be safe and once they opened up the breaks they called me and they told me my breaks are practically new and that my tires are the ones that should be changed in couple of months if i drive long. So Nitin Patel and probably others at Midas will tell you BS to make money so stay away if possible. Caused me more headache then anything else. I ended up returning the breaks to auto-zone and paying the guy $20 for his honesty and saving me money. smh I usually don't write yelp reviews but dishonest service like this deserves less then zero stars. read more

This shop is great. I get my oil changed here regularly, and the past few times I've been there I've been more than satisfied. They often catch things I completely forget about, like headlights that are out and other small things. Staff are great, and very knowledgeable. Really good at calling you and communicating things you need to know. I replaced my starter last time and the work was finished way ahead of schedule.
