I have been a customer of Midas for years. I have always had great, courteous and professional service. I over the years have had at least 6-7 cars that I entrusted to the service and expertise of Niton at his location. I do not make this statement lightly and I do not do this often. My entire family and I take our cars to this location because it a place my family and I can trust. My family vehicles are important to me and to the safety of my family. Niton has always taken that concern to heart and the safety and condition of the vehicle to be very important. Niton always clearly explains what needs to be done and what service or repair we can wait on. A few years ago I took my fairly new used vehicle to Niton and he inspected the vehicle and determined there were some things that needed to be addressed. The vehicle had an extended warranty and Niton took it on himself to make the necessary calls and notifications that needed to be made so the warranty would cover these items. The warranty company even requested photos of the worn items. Niton did not hesitate to do what the warranty company asked, some requests seemed ridiculous to me, but Niton did not hesitate to do what the warranty company requested. The work was covered thanks to Niton and his tenacity. I highly recommend that if you want your vehicle to be safe and sound on the street to allow Niton to service your vehicles so you may be comfortable with the service that is provided to protect your family. my vehicle was making a screeching noise in the back while driving. i got a welcome to the community coupon since i just moved to pomona. They were booked so I made an appointment for tomorrow. I asked if there was any way someone could look into my noise for safety reasons. Rigo, the technician test drove the vehicle with me and heard the noise. He put the vehicle up on the lift and inspected the rear wheels. The shop where I had the rear brake work done had installed the pads incorrectly. They put both inner pads on the left side and both outer pads on the right side. Rigo fixed the problem and the noise is gone. I walked up to the counter to settle with the manager and he said "thank you for coming we will see you tomorrow." WOW! Totally unexpected from a shop. This is the most honest shop around town. I broke my wheel studs and took it to a local shop. They quoted me $458.00 and said that the only way to fix the problem was by replacing the wheel hub bearing assembly. Midas showed me the the wheel hub could be removed and the studs could be replaced from the back. The hub bearing is good. The cost was $160.00. The mechanic was professional and the staff here really enjoy what they do. They are passionate about doing the right thing for the customers. read more

I have been taking my 2000 Toyota Corolla to Midas for many years. I moved back to SoCal a few years ago, and was hesitant about taking my car to somewhere new. I found this Midas, and the great owner, Nic and his crew! This has been the best auto shop yet! What I like best about Nic, is his honesty on the condition of my car and the others I see him work with. If your car is not worth fixing, he will let you know! He was able to pull up my car history and even made calls to confirm the previous services I had with Midas, in Pittsburg, CA. My Corolla has over 240,000 miles, and keeps going, thanks to Nic and his crew. If there is a problem and it needs to be fixed, he takes you out into the shop and shows you what is going on. He is by far the most honest owner/mechanic I have met yet, and plan to stay with him always. If there was an option to leave negative stars I would. Took my car for check engine light and to have a diagnostic test. This BS owner started telling me that it could be this that or the other. Played 21 questions with him for him to tell me that the previous mechanic that did my tune-up messed up by replacing my spark plugs without changing my ignition coils. This crook tried to tell me that I would have to have my spark plugs replaced all over again if it was an ignition coil problem. After wasting my time and listening to this crook try and cheat me out of money (by the time it was all said and done and he was trying to get my signature on the work estimate) he was trying to claim that my check engine light could be my catalytic converter or (since my car has high mileage) even my engine about to fall out the bottom of my car. I snatched my keys and drove off. If I had my way, this F'n crook would be on a magic carpet ride back to his own F'n country never to return to mine again. Don't come to my country and try to rip me off. I wish him luck on Judgement day though. Turns out a valve adjustment solved the problem. My spark plugs are fine, my ignition coils are fine and my engine is full intact under my hood where it is supposed to be and running just fine. read more

I went here to weld my muffler pipe, the owner says they'll look at it and see if it can be welded or muffler replaced, I have to leave the car there yadi yadi...I told him it just needs to be welded. He tells me they only replace mufflers there and they have to send it out for welding. What kind of muffler shop does no welding?? That's like going to the dentist and he doesn't have a drill to fill cavities?? Anyways my BS alert went off and I went somewhere else. Dishonest owner. read more

Went here due to braking issues. The owner, Nittin, will do his best to have you get the work done. He even worked with the price a bit. Had to come in for some adjustments but he was unable to help because it was incredibly busy. He called the next day to apologize and said "I'll do whatever it takes to get you back here for adjustments." The adjustments were not even costing me anything. So he really tries his best to take care of you and become your trusted mechanic. Only thing stopping 5 stars is he is a bit too pushy. read more

He tells me what I need and quotes a fair price. Recently I went to Purrfect Auto in Diamond Bar for a smog check. They told me I needed a new water pump "right away." I brought my car to Midas.
