The owner took the time to bring me back into the shop, and discuss every item they said needed fixed, pointing out exactly what he was talking about on the truck (I'm not mechanically inclined, so this was appreciated!), and gave me a printed estimate with all the work that they recommended gets done. Then, he went through it with me and pointed out the things that could wait and the things that should be done right away. Technician and manager were so disrespectful . I came in asking for an oil change and I don't know if they woke up on the wrong side of the bed or what but their attitude was trash. And after speaking with the manager and seeing his attitude wasn't any better, I understand why the technician felt comfortable being so rude , the standards in that place are obviously on the ground. Talk about great customer service!! I brought my car in a few months ago for an oil change and there was some complications with the oil plug being on tight. As a dissatisfied customer, the shop was informed and the manager took the time to give me a call and figure out the problem. Even though it was months later, he offered a refund and assured me that this would not happen again. Sometimes things don't always go right, and I was disappointed with my initial encounter with this shop and how the complications that came about. My experience with this location was horrible. The employee I worked with failed to go over any of the pricing with me, and so not until after my oil change was done did I find out that this franchise charges over twice what nearby locations do. The reason I know this? When I was paying, the man behind the desk was laughing the entire time and listing other Midas's in the area who did oil changes for half or a third of what this location charged me. To top it all off, when I got back in my car, some pieces of jewelry and a few other small personal items had been stolen, while it was clear other things in my car had been rummaged through. I've never had such a poor, disturbing experience in my life. I will not only have to be contacting the police, but the BBB as well. read more

This Midas has horrible service, a creepy technician, and gouged prices for women. My brother brought our truck here for a routine oil change. They were so nice and went the extra mile and made sure all of the fluids were topped off and the brakes and rotors were still in good shape -- a full inspection which cost about $40. Fast forward a couple of months to when my mother brought the same truck for the same routine oil change. They replaced the brake fluid but overfilled the container to the opening instead of to the MAX fill line which caused a leak. They also quoted $1100 to change brake pads and rotors. They also came up with other random "issues" with the truck that had nothing to do with the tires, oil, or brakes that we went for. When we checked with Stop Brake Shop next door they quoted less than $700 and only 100 of that was for labor. It seems as if they create problems just so you will take your car back to them to "fix" what they broke. read more

That Nitin guy is really terrible. He said my car needed new tires and my tires were perfectly fine (got them checked out by another shop and then my father) both said there was no need for new tires. All he cares about is making that shop money and I can't help but feel disrespected in some way after every time I live this place by him (went here 3 times). Whether it be him trying to hustle money out of me or the snide comments if I choose to say no to getting extra work done that isn't necessary it's just not a pleasant place to go to. Taking my business down the street to a friendlier shop. UPDATE: disregard the midas company commenting on this. And you may not advocate as a company repair work that is completely unnecessary, however, It is quite true that Nitin is lying to drive sales or just doesn't know what he's talking about. He does work at this shop, how would I even know his name? Ridiculous the allegation of myself going to a different shop and not this one just so the company will look more pleasing on yelp. I took my 2017 Subaru Legacy to this shop yesterday for the brake inspections. A male manager made eye contact and greeted me with a welcoming smile as I entered. The manager was friendly. He said he would have someone looked at it shortly. They started to look at my car within ten minutes I saw a female technician was working on my car Once she had all the tires off the car, she called me in the shop and showed me the condition of all four brake pads She asked me about my driving habits She then suggested that I would not need new pads at that moment. She said I could go for another three to four thousands miles before replacing the back pads. She said the front pads were still good for a long while. At this time the manager came inside the shop. He quickly looked at the brakes and suggested the same thing. He told me to bring the car back back in January. He said they would check the pads at that time and do the work if needed. As it is very difficult to go e an honest repair shop. I was really impressed with the honest car repair folks at this Midas store. I will definitely go and see them in January. I will also definitely recommend the place to my friends and family. read more

If it was possible to give negative stars I would. Probably he worst service I have ever had at a service garage. I had an appointment and still had to wait an hour before my car was looked at. I only went in for an oil change. It just about an hour once they started the oil job. When I became impatient they said they take a little longer because they let the oil drain out completely. I'm not sure who they thought they were fooling. I explained to the office Manager they could have removed the oil pan, replaced the gasket and towel wiped the pan clean in that amount of time. Then they apologized because one of the employees was at lunch. Then why did they confirm the appointment? read more

When I saw these guys high Yelp review I was greatly surprised. If I can give 0 stars I would. I was driving in the area and my engine check light turned on. So I came to Midas looking to maybe get a better understanding of what may possibly be the problem. Front desk guy was super unwelcoming. He offered me a choice of a full diagnostic or a simply code retrieval. I just wanted to know what might be wrong so I did a code retrieval. They didn't hook my car up to a computer or anything. They had no device whatsoever to actually obtain a code from my car. He provided me a a piece of paper where he wrote a 5 digit code pointing to numerous problems. This guy literally gave me no real direction and assistance in fixing this issue. So get this, he charged me and when I asked for a receipt he said that piece of paper was the receipt and pretty much pointed me to the door. I usually don't write Yelp reviews, but I was given such a great disservice. These type of guys are the reason why mechanics have a bad reputation. He probably pocketed that money to be honest. Do yourself a favor and take you car somewhere else. Don't be cheated and lied to like I was. read more

This is the only place I trust to take my car. I have been coming here for years. I know there's at least 10 of us who have been very happy with their services for years. They are always helpful and get our cars seen quickly. Niton tells you the true diagnosis and what is necessary. They have never said I needed work done if it isn't necessary. He tells me my options, and whether or not I can hold off on some of the issues. And he is really helpful and patient when I ask him to explain the issues again and again with my spouse or relative who's more savvy with this stuff. I think all of the mechanics have worked on my car and they've all been great. A while back I took my car somewhere else and they said my oil change would be a crazy price. I told them that I usually get it for $40 cheaper and they said I needed all this weird stuff, which isn't true. I took my car to this Midas immediately and they took care of my car for $20, just like the coupon said. They also check my tires and add windshield wiper cleaner :). This truly is the only place I trust to send our cars. read more

Came here to get a bolt tightened on my wheel. The manager had no clue what I was talking about, went out and looked at it. He looked like he had no clue what he was looking at, then said his bay was "full", his mechanics would not be able to tighten it today and to come back in the morning or go to another shop with what seemed to be a rude tone. I have been here 4 times for oil changes. Would have given them 5 stars but 1 of those 4 times, the mechanic did not put my air filter back on my car and let me drive off with it. I started to drive away and noticed a loud humming sound, immediately I knew that the air filter was missing, so when I got out of the car and checked, yup, sure enough the air filter was missing. I drove back and they were closing the shop, I said my car is making a funny noise. The mechanic said: I forgot to put your air filter back in, was going to call you about it. I thought to myself yeah right! If he was going to...when? The next business day? Other than THIS specific experience, my other 3 oil changes were smooth. The NEW owner is awesome! He is HONEST. I highly recommend this place for oil changes. I had been going to Jiffy Lube in Diamond Bar for a few years until I got ripped off. An employee stole my handicapped placard from my vehicle during a scheduled oil change. When I confronted the store manager about it, he said, "My employees would not do that". I had to go to the DMV and wait 4 hours for a replacement placard to be mailed to me. What an inconvenience. Since I have made the switch to Midas, I am very satisfied overall. read more

I was a little hesitant going to another 'big name' shop because I had been screwed over a few times before by other well known names... But Midas was great! The pricing is very reasonable too!! My poor car.. Every single one of her brakes were bad. I got very lucky that my rotors weren't damaged. I took my car in on my lunch. It wasn't going to be fixed in an hour so rather than turning me away, they gave me a ride back to work AND even picked me up from work when my car was ready They didn't try to throw cheap breaks on my Infiniti either. Ceramic from the start of the quote. When I asked why, I was told that they refuse to compromise the performance of the car. BRAVO!! I am also in love with their oil change prices for full synthetic.. $59!! Sorry jiffy lube, I know where I'm going for oil changes from now on. I went online and booked a 4pm appointment. According to the website, someone would call me within 30 minutes, once they opened. No one called me, so I called them. I was immediately told that in order for me to be seen at 4pm, I needed to come at 3pm. This made absolutely no sense! If I come at 3pm, then it's a 3pm appointment not a 4pm appointment. I explained that due to my work schedule, I would need a 4pm appointment. The guy (with Indian accent) stated that they don't have 4pm appointments on any days. My question was, why does the website give an option for a 4pm appointment if you don't have 4pm appointments? His response, "I don't know". He then stated that he would call me back and let me know if he could accommodate my requested 4pm appointment. About 15 minutes later, he called back and I was unable to answer (due to working). I called him back within five minutes and he stated that he would NOT honor my request for a 4pm appointment on any day of the week. I again explained to him that according to Midas website, the latest appointment is at 4pm. He then began yelling very loudly and hung up in my face!! I called back to get the name of this extremely rude person and again he hung up in my face. I contacted corporate and made a complaint!! This guy was extremely rude and it didn't make sense that he was mad because he didn't want to honor the appointments listed on the website. DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT MIDAS DIAMOND BAR!! I work in the area and needed to get an oil change before going on a long drive. Nitin was awesome and shuttled me to work. Big plus if you live/work in the area! I ended up needing 2 tires and he was honest about pricing and what he could get me that was in my budget. I didn't feel stuck, without options, like I have in the past. It was also nice getting the repair report emailed to me. I was able to see photos of what needed to be done.
