Every time I need a fix for my car, whether it's an oil change, broken tail light, or even a tire rotation it's a no brainer where I'll be headed;Midas. Not only is the customer service beyond excellent but the quality of the work being done is superb. The workers are always kind and quick to tell jokes! Which always makes a difference between my choice of car repairs/oil changers. The set up of their waiting room is a comfortable and entertaining atmosphere that makes the waiting time go by a lot quicker! From magazines to the interesting tv show they have on, it's a nice little gesture for us customers! They even have a station for making warm Drinks while you wait! Excellent service and team! They helped me with both of my cars. My Honda CR-V had a service message appear on my dash. Ernesto took a look, and spent time explaining the routine services he would perform, and what to expect in the near future. Later, my Toyota Sienna had a clicking sound while turning. Hugo took a test drive with me and diagnosed the problem. Although he could have given me a quote to replace the gear shaft, he insisted I bring the car to the dealer and have them cover it under warranty. That's honest service. Double negative stars is what this place needs. My daughter in law had a tire issue the other day and ended up at Midas. She is just home from Afghanistan visiting us on leave. Had she called us before she went to Midas we would have sent her to Big O. As usual Midas in Dublin, CA lived up to their BS antics and it ended up costing her $180 to fix her tire and the tire pressure gauge. The tire pressure monitor wouldn't reset and when she went back for the third time they told her it was another bad tire and it would be another $180. She went to Big O from there and had it done way cheaper. Her quote was "I was treated better in Afghanistan than Midas". Come on people we have way more things to worry about than to be mistreated by local businesses!!! read more

I just drove in this morning to have my tire pressure checked since the car felt odd while driving. They already seemed to be having a super busy day at 7:30AM and I felt I was going to be showed the door or asked to make an appointment (Yes, I am a dunce when it comes to my car *honest blink* ) A kind gentleman asked me to bring the car over and checked the tire pressure. As I sit here in the customer waiting area, I felt now would be a good time to throw another great review down for Abdul and the team at Midas Dublin. This is the only shop I have visited for an oil change since I first started coming here, and it shall remain the only shop I take my car to for this regular maintenance. I was greeted by a technician before I even reached the door this morning. I showed up with no appointment and was told it would be about 20 minutes before they could start my oil change. As I type this, just like clockwork, the vehicle that the tech said they needed to finish on is being pulled out of the bay to make room for my car--almost exactly 20 minutes after I arrived. Awesome! I also mentioned to the technician that I had a coupon on my phone and that I'm a regular customer. He didn't ask to see the coupon, nor did I get any flack for being a thrifty customer. My air filter is in need of replacement, and I brought my own (otherwise it's almost double the cost) and again, no problem whatsoever..."Sure we can pop that in for you!"...these guys are great. Did I mention that I'm female and have never come here with a man? I have never, ever felt as if I'm being swindled or treated dishonestly due to my gender. Furthermore, the service I have received here has always been prompt, courteous, and honest. I read thru some of the negative reviews on here and I wonder if these folks are even writing about the same shop?? So, bravo to the boys at Midas Dublin. This location is going through some renovations and the staff was obviously busy, however, Herman always kept me in the loop of what was going on and the service was fairly fast and efficient. I was referred to come here after getting routine oil change at my dealership when they found two nails in my tire. They quoted me $724 for just one tire. I decided go to Big O tires near my work in San Leandro. Guess what? Larry took a look & was able to pull out one very tiny nail that wasn't even fully embedded & only charged $25.00 for other nail repair. It sure pays off to get 2nd opinion. Wound up having a personal issue come up so I couldn't get my brakes done at this time, but the guys at Dublin Midas did not charge me extra for allowing me to use their loaner overnight, didn't add in extra labor charges, and even recharged my dead battery. I will never go here again. (I should have checked the reviews here - nearly all Eek! Methinks not! They had my car for a few hours on Saturday to put on new mufflers. On the way home I discovered they were rattling over bumps. It was too late to go back but I called them and told them so they would make a note. I took it back Thursday, they could not fit me in to FIX their problem. I came back the next Saturday morning and they wanted me to wait 1.5 hours just to be seen. They wanted me to get at the back of the line to fix THEIR problem. Even the teenagers at Jiffy Lube have you just pull in front if they didn't do something correct - they don't make you go to the back of the line. What kind of customer service is that!? Then the manager said I had to wait until he could at least clear a car off the rack. I said, of course... but then he said that's still an hour and a half. Not true - they just told the guy in front of me it was a 1.5 hour wait to get his oil changed so that meant they were going to go through all 4 of the waiting people before HIM and that would take an hour and a half. Just crap. Just don't do it. If there's any problems, you will have to start completely over again with them, losing another Saturday so they can fix THEIR problems. I'm going to contact Midas corporate as well and ask them if they've looked at all these terrible reviews here. There's something wrong at this Midas and I want my money back so I can go somewhere else and get the rattling muffler fixed! read more

Very happy with the service here! Went today for an oil change and my expectations were exceeded. Manny was very friendly and professional, as was the rest of the staff. They looked at my car, gave me a quote, explained to me what I would be paying for, and had my service completed quicker than I expected. At the end, I was given a comprehensive update of the work done and the status of the vehicle. The visit was very straight forward and there were no unexpected surprise costs. There were others waiting with me that needed extra services that they did not initially come in for. From what I saw, the staff assigned to that case came out to explain to the customer what was going on, what needed to be done, and gave a new quote for the additional issues. While I've never really had a bad experience getting my car serviced, I really appreciated how it was handled here. I felt very involved and informed in the maintenance of my car. Here's the thing. I've gone to Midas for years. Once I met Manuel Ramirez Chavez.... my car repair life became so much easier. He is the nicest, most honest, reliable and most hard working guy I've met there. He always made sure my car was fully taken care, looked over every nook and cranny, and I had the best parts without completely draining my funds! Always kept me within my price range and just went over and beyond! Well I recently found out that he had been let go for whatever reason and I am extremely disappointed and upset! Midas has let go of a huge assets to their team and believe me when I say I will follow Manuel to whatever shop he goes to next! But as I'm waiting in their lobby I hear the new employee Justin damn near trying to be the boss to the boss as the manager is trying to show him how to do a few things he has a smart mouth thinks he's funny witch he is far from. I feel so bad for the manager who is trying to be patient but you can tell he was getting very irritated. But was still being polite. They have a slow Midas touch. I waited 5hrs for my brakes to be completed. The first two hours was suppose to be an inspection and within the last hour my back brakes were done which I wonder how long my front brakes really took. I was told it would take 2hrs for it to be completed which I had no problem with then when I show up after two hours I was told another hour. If you plan on getting work done here then you may want to bring your vehicle when they open and have a ride to elsewhere, it may take all day. Add an extra hour to the time they tell you so you don't overlap your plans. If you're sensitive to perfumes be prepared for an abundance of fragrance when you walk into the office. It's bad enough being a female looking for a good mechanic and not getting robbed of money or time. I'll keep looking. read more

I went in for a oil change in the morning. I dropped my car and told them to call me after they are done. They never called me for the whole day. I had to call them twice at the end of the day. First time they mentioned they are working on it right now and second time just 5 minutes before their closing time, they mentioned they will start working on it soon. Went in with no appointment on a Friday morning and was told that it would take an hour which was fine. There is a Casper's Hot Dog place right across the street which I definitely recommend. Since I bought a used car I wanted to make sure there were no major issues and I was told that they do a 17-point inspection. Since I had never been there before and just came in for an oil change, I was given a $10 off coupon to use. It wasn't even an hour before I was done. The car checked out fine and the fact that I only paid $30 is just what I was looking for. I will be coming back for future work! The service was excellent! read more
