I am greatly disappointed at how this particular location can take advantage of people. More specifically Amado is what I believe his name is. My mother's car over heated on Tuesday so she took it to the location on Sierra in Fontana my mother does not have much knowledge about cars and is not very comfortable speaking English. The person who assisted her (Amado) was able to fully communicate with her since he spoke Spanish as well. They kept the car in their shop all day when they finally finished I took my mom to pick up the car. When I found out that he had charged her about $630 to replace a radiator hose and a thermostat I was outraged. The amount they were charging for the labor fees was just ridiculous for example they charged her $50 for the coolant and $80 for the labor of that specific task it's not right to charge $80 for something that takes at most one minute of someone's time. When we got there Amado assured us that the car was fine that he had replaced they radiator hose and the thermostat and "ran tests" in which he showed us no proof of. So my mother payed $630 for a job that could have been done in at most one hour. She drove the car back to our house and had not used it until the next day when her car over heated again and we had to get it towed. The next day Thursday we communicated to Amado that we had a problem with the service and he told my mom to take the car back to the shop so he can see what's wrong with it for free. We towed the car to the shop he then said he had other cars in front of my moms it was around 10:30 am we didn't get the car back until the next day Friday close to their closing time. Then amado charged my mom an additional $50 because he said they were supposed to replace another thermostat that they missed the first time. So those "tests" that he claimed he ran didn't tell him about the second thermostat? I'm out raged that due to this location's neglect my mother had to call off of work twice, get a tow truck twice and pay an extra $50 on top of the $630 she he already paid because they couldn't get the job done the first time. It is not okay that they prioritized other cars the second time we came when it doesn't take two business days to replace one thermostat. This horrific customer service experience is extremely upsetting and we will never again trust this business to be honest or fair again. One star rating is being generous I wouldn't even pick a star if I could. read more

Horrible customer service. Came in to get my uber vehicle inspection done. Website says they charge $20 and when I came into the location they said no we don't follow that we charge $30. The guy at the front desk was playing games and talking on his phone the whole time. Told me it would be 30 min wait when they didn't have one car in the garage the whole time. Place wasn't very clean and smelled of cleaning products. Oh the irony. Another person came in to do an oil change while I was waiting and the guy was being very rude to her. Me and my fiancé went there to get our ac fixed they charged us 150$ they said it fixed and ready to go. and we bought a warranty pack just incase. it worked for a day an then after that. it stop working and when we came back in he said that it's something totally different than what they did last time. idk about you guys but shouldn't they have looked at everything first before doing what they did to our car the first time. i'm so unhappy and up set and now they want us to pay another 100$. never coming back should have never came in the first place. read more

This is a WARNING to all consumers looking to do business at this establishment. On Friday, April 10, 2015 I went to ask if they could perform a brake evaluation on my vehicle because I noticed that I had to step on the brake pedal all the way to the floor to stop. It took them roughly an hour to diagnose a very expensive remedy for my vehicle. Right away they told me that it was going to be very expensive to be fixed and that they felt sorry for me. It was supposedly a hydraulic problem and it would require $1400 worth of replacement parts to fix the problem. They immediately tried to scare me into having the job done right away because by not doing so I was putting the vehicle at risk of breaking down and causing even more damage. After paying $32 for the brake evaluation and with absolutely NO INVOICE containing details of the prices and work they were going to perform after I specifically had asked for one I left the shop and went to my dad to take a look at the problem. He removed the brake pads and realized the brake pads were put in backwards and that was the cause of the whole problem. Total cost for that repair? FREE. Will NEVER come to this shop ever again especially since that was something the "brake experts" should have caught right away. read more

This was one of the worst experiences ever! First of all walking in it took about five min for the guy behind the counter to even acknowledge me as he was to busy watching his novella. Then I asked you are a registered location on uber for ubers vehicle inspections. I said it shows twenty dollars for the form. He said oh no its not twenty its thirty. He said they haven't fixed the price on the website. I said well it shows twenty. Either way its thirty. I paid and I went ahead and agreed because I needed to get my inspection done asap. He says an hour. Umm there was no other customers other than me at that time and like 3 to 4 guys in the working area but ok then. So I wait over an hour as I watch my car still sitting where I parked it at. I asked how long more he said or your next. Ugh! I should have left. So one guy finally pulls my car in and no less then 3 minutes he says oh one of your tires is not good so we cant do the inspection. Ok so I go back inside as he had asked me to look at the tire. I said since you didn't do the inspection I would like my thirty dollars back. He says oh no. I argued the fact that they didn't do anything to my car or do the inspection. He refused to return my money. Omfg. He says when you get the tire fixed we can do the inspection for free but only if you have the tire bought and put on here. I asked for the prices and they were absolutely ridiculous. I demanded my money and they refused. I said im going to report you to the better business bureau he didn't seem to care. I left very unhappy. They don't deserve one star they deserve shit! I got a call about a week or so later from the midas customer service department .I told them everything that happened and that I would be posting on here as well. this place is a total rip off!!!! I went to check my gmc yukon today for my A/C problem. they told me it will cost 90$ for diagnosis and let me wait for 1 hour. And actually i waited for more than 2 hours!! they just put the machine let it run for so long and told me its was good nothing leaking at first and then they told me i still need to replace the condenser and drier and the orifice tube. finally the guy at the front desk show me the price for all the parts about 500$ and up plus the labor almost another 500$. +tax. it going to cost me around thousand dollars. i have no idea why it cost that much. and i dont have that much money so i went home by just paying the 90$ fee. until i go home and try searching online for the parts i found out all the parts that i need to replace is only around 200$ WTF!! what a F%&^ rip off. they charge the labor for way over price. i would not recommend to anyone to Midas! its total rip off! GREAT, HONEST SERVICE! Visiting from out of town, we stopped by this Midas prepared to spend $1500 on new front-end suspension for our Infiniti. They put it up on the rack and found it just needed some plastic clips to solve the problem, and did it for no charge. There's a lesson here so be patient. My husband went into this shop and checked if they did breaks and was told they did. He asked how much with the roters and was given the price of $220.00 for everything. I was getting ready to take my truck in and decided to check by phone to see if it was still the same and spoke to Willie and was given a totally different price. $199.00 per set of breaks with with a fifty dollar coupon for each set and roters would be between $70.00 to $129.00 per each set. We went from $220.00 out the door to a possible $456.00 For Breaks!!! Now do you think that because I am a woman and that we mostly do not know any better that a big number was thrown out because they know through experience that women will do what they are told regarding automotive problems? I think so and I have seen this happen so many times to other women and they totally get ripped off by these untrustworthy men. These men are smug and they think this is really funny that we are stupid enough to just pay them for a job that a man would only pay half for and this happens every day all day and these guys are laughing all the way to the bank. Pay attention to what you are doing and 20/20 did a news story on this and you can find it on demand and they prove if with hidden cameras. When I asked Willie why they gave my husband one price and me the other and asked if this was because I am a woman therefore he could just stick it to me the man had trouble talking and in the end I think in my case they stopped laughing and I hope that if you plan to go here that this information will help you and you will not be a victim of a ruthless system that has been going on for years against women by auto mechanics. read more

Fast, honest service. Van started slipping out of gear on the 10 on way from Phoenix to Paso Robles w/transmission fluid all over engine block. These guys got us in right away, flushed and filled the transmission fluid and spent nearly an hour trying to find a leak. The owner Manny is the most unprofessional business owner! I took my 4Runner in to have my shocks I bought put on.. The next day one of the shocks fell off .... When I went to look at the damage the other shock that hadn't fallen off had the wrench they used to tighten the bolts still on there! When we took it back to have him fix it he refused! He told me to purchase my shocks all over again and he would put them on no charge! Which doesn't make sense because His negligence is why my shock fell off and then the other had a wrench left on it! If that wrench would have flown off while I was driving it could have hurt someone else! I would never trust this place to do work on anyone's vehicle! Do not go here! It is so hard to find an auto service place you can trust. I was enticed by these 3 glowing reviews and decided to give this place a shot. Boy was it a big mistake. The first time was okay but Darrel, the top mechanic there managed to charge me more and more every time I went there. I understand we are living in a tough economic time but that's no excuse to rip people off with ridiculous charges. On my last visit, Darrell attempted to charge me 1750+ to do suspension work and after I declined, and as he knew I was probably not going back there, he tried to get as much money as he could from me by lying to me about the number miles I had driven saying "did you know that it's been 4000 miles since the last oil change??". The fact was it was only 3000 miles because I kept track of it. Beware of his discount trick where he will try to make you think he's generous by giving discounts on the fee when actually it is still absurdly high. This was for replacing my brake which after discounts cost me 644 dollars. Oh and make sure to bring your ipod or reading material because you will wait for hours. This was the worst auto service i have ever received. If you do not want to waste a lot of money and time, avoid this place like the plague. Trust me, it will save you the heartache. read more
