These guys were so professional. Today i bought an oil change and i have had other shops add synthetic blend but they said my car only used synthetic which was nice to here someone following manufacturer guidelines. Also they do tire rotation for free. Great place. read more

I have never been so disappointed with a company's customer service. My husband got to Midas before 8am, so we were not late for the appointment I booked and confirmed. When he booked the vehicle in, he was told by the front desk lady it would take approximately 45 min then we can pick up our Chev. One hour later the vehicle hadn't even moved from its parking spot where we left it. Your front desk lady tells my husband with an attitude, it will be another 1:30 before it will be done. I ask you then why did I make an appointment? We drove from Salado, it not just around the corner. Ended up going to Jiffy Lube down the road. We were helped with a smile within 1 hour of arriving without an appointment. That really tells you something about Midas Harker Heights service, we will definitely not be back. read more

Bad service.... don't value your time or acknowledge you when you are in the shop and act like you're not there

My first time at this place and don't ever plan to go back. One of my friends usually takes her vehicle here for checkups and recommended it to me. Well they must only like their established customers and don't want to make new ones, because I went for a diagnosis of gray smoke coming from my muffler and ask for an oil change in the process, I was the first customer for the day and waited 2hrs to find out they had not diagnosed the vehicle and has only done the oil change. That if I wanted the diagnosis I could had stayed and waited another 2 hrs at least he said. So why even perform the oil change if the main reason I went there was for my diagnosis! The old man said that wasn't explained to him!! That was his excuse when we were very specific in the morning while dropping off my car. Well I ended up at Valvoline as I had previously planned and got my diagnoses within minutes. Midas also doesn't put a sticker with the next due oil change millage, instead they put the date with the current miles on the vehicle (whats the point of that?) I will never waste my money at this place ever again! Money and time wasted! They Don't listen to their customers. My friend will also stop going here. read more

I originally stopped by this Midas repair shop to have a "rattle" checked in the rear exhaust system. The service technician found the culprit, a worn front muffler hanger and pointed it out to me. I've since brought my car by to replace brake pads and resurface brake rotors. The folks at this store are very professional, friendly and provide an excellent service at a very fair price based on this experience. I'm definitely returning for future auto repairs. I'm sorry that other reviewers had a poor experience and respect where they're coming from, but must say my experience was truly a "5 star" one and that the technician servicing my car was highly qualified and experienced. read more

Over the last 30 or so years, I've been more than capable of working on my own vehicles. I keep them until they drive into the ground, so I've been around the block with them a few times, everything from the usual oil changes, brakes, and fluid exchanges, up to head replacements. I know how to do it all. Just mostly these days, I dont want to. I unders tut and what is involved with most repairs, how much parts cost, and how much shops usually charge for their time. Recent transplant from Phoenix, and I have had nothing but great experiences with this Midas so far. They've done what I've asked for, and how I've asked for, for a fair price for the last 2 years I've been here. Fast service for the simple safety check for tags, to oil changes, to diagnosing wheel bearings and answering questions about rear differentials. No hard upsells, just things that need to be done, to what should be done, to what will probably become an issue later but not critical. Thanks guys, I appreciate the work y'all are doing. read more

They did a alignment for my steering and charged me 89 dollars for it not to be fixed, came off the alignment lift just like how it got on. They also stole a part off my steering column and when I confronted them they acted like i didn't know what i was talking about. They definitely don't know anything and will name off random stuff on ur vehicle and try to charge you an insane amount. read more

While the brakes were pretty expensive, it wasn't more so for here BUT we were offered a coupon we didn't know about that saved us $100! They didn't have to mention a coupon. They thoroughly explained the issues and what they recommended. Very nice, friendly and efficient. Will return! read more

Highly recommend this Midas shop. Have taken my f150 and wife's explorer here for brakes.. c/v axle install.. cooling system services.. Chris is very nice to his customers and have never once heard any type of arguing or debating with the customer either in person or on phone.. I have a solid 8 hours of Lobby time there. Rudest people I have ever met. Their only goal is to get as much money out of you as possible. Going as far as to "accidentally" break parts and saying you need to pay to replace it. We told them no we would take it somewhere else. They said it could stay there till we had someone pick it up on the weekend. Then they called Friday rudely yelling at us that we needed to move the truck that day or they would have it towed and impounded. Charged us $200 for them not even fixing what we asked for because of labor. And they wanted another $1,000 to change the transmission because they ruined the bell housing. The starter was the problem in the first place. Which they couldn't even find. Had to call my husband over to show them where it was located. read more

First off the price they told me to fix my vehicle was OUTRAGEOUS ($2400) took it else where was more than half the price! Also they broke a fuse wire on my vehicle and didn't bother to tell me!!! Never going here again! read more

Went to Midas in Harker Heights today to get my tires balanced and exhaust looked at. Decided to have them change the oil as well. Built in 1987, the car is older than the tech they gave the job to. I told them oil filter and 4.5 quarts of oil. The tech proceeds to check the oil before it is drained, and breaks the oil dipstick sleeve that goes into the engine block. I immediately made them stop work and got my car out of there before any more damage could be done by novices. read more
