I called this location (5245 Nike Station Way, Hilliard, OH) and explained my car's AC issues, and they gave me a reasonable price. I drove to their location, and they said the same thing. After two hours, they called me and said the recharge and diagnosis price is more...almost double the price. I explained that this is too much and you should have told me before wasting my time, but they were rude. I picked up the key, and they did not even apologize. I don't recommend. read more

Had some work done back in 2021, needed new tire rods on an 02 Civic. Service was good, quick, and I was decently charged. Fast forward to 2022, got new tires at a different shop and was told that the rear rod was put in the front/vice versa. Honestly ridiculous how a mistake that bad could happen, new shop essentially needed to do the job all over again and was going to charge me the same price as Midas did. Don't go here for serious repairs, basic maintenance should be okay though. Went here for oil changes and never had an issue. read more

Tim, Brandon, Steve all were such a pleasure to work with and made sure to take care of my car the best they could. They went above and beyond to see to it that my car was all set and good to go for the road while at the same time not charging an arm and a leg for quality work. Went about a year ago to have the brakes bled after replacing the calipers personally. Only charged us $20, which was great. Brakes starting having issues again, so we went to have it done again today to see if maybe so air worked it's way in there. Not only did they charge us $75 for a full brake fluid flush, not a bleed as requested, but they broke a button off the key fob and didn't say anything about it. I made an online appt for an oil change on Friday for same day service and I received an email back with a time range to bring my car in. I then received a phone call giving me a time, which didn't work, but then gave me another option. I was able to arrive by the given time and the work was completed in an hour. Their waiting area is fine, with plenty of seating, magazines, a restroom, and complimentary coffee and bottled water. I was greeted promptly by Chuck, who checked me in. Once finished, Troy took me into the bay to go over the courtesy check, and then he finished the payment processing back in the lobby. All good and I recommend! read more

My wife took our vehicle to this Midas for a minor service. She called me and asked me to come up there so that they could explain the problem to me and why they wanted to charge her $2,500 for a new power steering rack. When I arrived I said I was here about the Buick Enclave. The young man at the counter replied "oh the one that is puking power steering fluid? - this was news to me since it has never leaked power steering fluid before. He took me out to the lift and showed me where power steering fluid was was running down the side of the pump all over the suspension components. Being skeptical, I told him to put the vehicle back on the ground and we will leave. At that point I returned home and sprayed all of the power steering fluid off of the outside of the pump and suspension components with brake parts cleaner. If it was truly "puking" power steering fluid it would certainly continue. It has been dry ever since. There is no leak at all. I hate to sound sexist but it is a reality that I have experienced again and again with my wife taking her car to mechanics... they (not all of them - I know honest mechanics are out there... I just don't know where you are) will tell women anything to upsell or scare them into spending more money.... even $2,500 to replace parts that are not broken and don't even need serviced. read more

DO NOT GO TO MODAS! I came in for a small issue and they completely destroyed my car and now it's not even driveable! I came in just for a simple rattle and now the car doesn't even move. I had 4 different appointments and each time my car became worse. I originally went to the west broad street location and then the Hilliard location. On the 4th appointment they wanted me to pay them $1200 to fix the damage that they had done to the vehicle! The store manager Tim is extremely rude and disrespectful and only wants to rip you off! read more

I had work done on my vehicle at the Midas on Hilliard Rome and Nike drive and spent 4000 dollars. When I had picked it up it was driving WAY WORSE than when I brought it in. I took it back and they said they missed some things and just didn't realize the tire wasn't balanced? I went back to pick it up and the car was still driving terribly!!! I was extremely frustrated so I took it to a different midas and had a test drive with that store's manager. He was alarmed at how bad it was and said the issue with the car is the brakes. Through all my frustration the OTHER MIDAS manager told me I needed to spend another 800 dollars to fix my brakes.! They messed my car up and are expecting me to pay more. At this point I was directed to speak with their district manager who was extremely unprofessional and demeaning. He kept repeating the same thing and insisted it broke when I left and said "these things just happen" like no they don't just magically break when I take my car off your lot. They have destroyed my car. They didn't replace my emblem on my rim and have neglected their part in all of the damage they have caused! PLEASE HELP!!!!! read more

Took my GMC Acadia in for all new rotors and brake pads. They did an excellent job and the car has braked excellently ever since. I had a little issue with the car going at fast speeds. Made an appointment to get some some new tires 2 weeks out. When the day finally arrives i get to the store and they dont even have the tires and or any that would fit my car. My previous review stands. Took my vehicle to a mechanic I trust today and he gave it a thorough look over. I asked him to specifically check the struts, the brakes and the tires. The Midas people told me my struts were broken, my back brakes needed to be replaced, my transmission needed to be checked and all four tires needed to be replaced. There was more, like having a 100,000 mile fluid check. The bill for all of this work would have come up to over $3,000.00 and change. The mechanic I took my vehicle to this morning works at a registered shop and put my CRV up in the air and checked everything requested and more. When finished, he said my back brakes were fine and would last for another 3-4 months with no problems, my struts were not broken, but according to the dealers recommendations should be checked at 100,000 miles and that yes, my tires should be replaced within the next month. He also stated that as my transmission had not been "cracked" to open it up to check the fluids, it should be left alone. Total cost for new tires will be $500.00 plus change. I now will never return to this or any other Midas owned facility, ever. Nor will I ever recommend it to a friend or co-worker. I feel like they tried to take advantage of me and wonder how many other people they've fooled into spending money that was not really needed or warranted. I should also state here that I was contacted by the Midas people after my previous review and they made a few statements about making things right, but never was anything followed up on. read more

I had scheduled an appointment online to get an oil change. The website only gave me the option of a 2 hour window between 3 and 5, so I chose that. Had I been given the option of a specific time to come, I would have chosen so. The email confirmation did not say I had to be there at a specific time either. I show up close to 5 for my oil change and the manager, Sam, proceeds to tell me that because I was there closer to 2 hours that he has 2 hours to get the car back to me and next time I should just call in and schedule an appointment. That didn't sit well with me and felt that was very rude and unprofessional. He gave off the impression as if he was going to hold on to my car for 2 hours just because I didn't come at 3, even though the email did not specify that. I opted not to even get an oil change at that location because of the experience. If I went to a restaurant and was running 10 minutes late to my reservation, the waiter isn't going to tell me they can be 10 minutes slower getting my food. There was no need for the manager to say that. He should have just took my keys without those remarks. If I even go to Midas again it'll definitely be the one in Powell. I received superb service and the manager there went above and beyond to take care of me. Maybe you should send Sam up there to retrain with him. read more

The manager, Jeremy and his crew were awesome. I came in without an appointment, told him my rear calipers were in bad shape. Well the pads and rotors were bad as well. I told him, if possible, I needed the work done in an hour. I knew that probably couldn't be done, or if he could even get me in that day. He stated getting it done in a hour wouldn't be possible, but they would do their best. To make a long story short, I was back on the road in an hour and forty-five minutes! Poor quality of service, highly inflated repair estimates and arrogant staff. Maybe they should lose some customers to understand the value of good customer service. They already lost me for sure. Anyone reading this review, take my advise - go somewhere else. - They charge a bomb by giving you highly inflated estimates. - Highlight 1 yr warranty on the repair but if you go back (I went back to them almost immediately after noticing my issue not fixed) they offer no help at all. No courtesy or consideration. We got our money, now it's your problem. Seriously? - I went to another Midas auto service station at a different location post my repair to get my car checked again and they confirmed it still had the original issue. What a mockery!! After spending over $500, the same chain now gives me another estimate of $400 to fix the same problem again. Take a bow Midas !! - When you call their corporate number or the district manager number to seek help, no one picks up the call. Filed a complain, still waiting for someone to get back. The manager and assistant manager were both apologetic about it but didn't say anything to me until over an hour had passed. My husband took our Trailblazer in this past Saturday for an oil change. While going through the process the guys noticed a couple of our lug nuts on one of our tires was stripped. After speaking with my husband it was determined that the last tire rotation was done during our last oil change here. The store manager told my husband they would replace them and not charge us.
