Awful service I took my vehicle there and a gentlemen told the other guys that my vehicle didn't have a battery and I had to locate it for them. They couldn't figure out how to get my nuts off for my oil change until the manager went down to help them. When I checked my oil when I got home it was only half way full. I've went there before with great service. Was extremely disappointed on the outcome. I would advise all members to be re-trained. read more

Went and got my oil changed today, we had the manager and two other people working on my Jeep. He was so nice and very respectful. They offered to do a few other services because my manufacturing company has certain services that should be done at certain mileage markers. He didn't push them but he did stress the importance of them and that they should be done soon but not necessarily today at their shop. It's a nice change of pace from other mechanics that just try to get a bunch of money out of you. I ended up getting my transmission serviced as well. It was quick and easy. read more

I had my oil changed, radiator flushed and transmission fluid changed. Not so much. about 4 months later my transmission line sprung a leak. When I got it repaired the tech told me the transmission fluid was very dirty. Apparently they didn't do the transmission fluid, just charged me for it. read more

Hard to go wrong when your at a Valvoline ! You stay right in your car while the techs do there thing. There are cameras to see them working under your vehicle as well. You should expect to be in and out in about 15 minutes for just a basic oil change. Employees are always polite and on top of it, recommending what needs replaced only if needed and has quality products. Fun fact that pushes me to continue supporting valvoline: They give all male employees 2 weeks of paid paternity leave ! Summary: Fast and Friendly AF The Deets: I was there for maybe 15 minutes. Maybe. From the second I rolled in, to the second I rolled out, they were all top notch. The service was friendly and they explained everything perfectly. As a facility itself, you are able to see everything that is going on. They have cameras under the car and in the front. You are able to see everything going on and they walk you through what is happening. I have never seen a more transparent operation. Are they the cheapest in town? Definitely not. William and the guys were so friendly and helpful, they made this chore far more bearable than I originally thought it would be. I was traveling out of town and Instead of getting an appointment and having to wait 40+ minutes elsewhere, the Valvoline guys were ready as soon as I pulled up, really enthusiastic, and William kept me informed while Wesley and another nice young man worked on my oil changed and diagnostic. Every time I go in here, they get me done super fast and can do just about any maintenance I need, including plenty I don't even know if I do need. Everyone is always extremely friendly, knowledgable and fast. I have had a consistenly good experience every time, at every Valvoline. Though I've only been to another one twice. This spring my AC had been broken since last summer. The shop I usuallly go to, Firestone, wanted me to leave it there all day while they go through the whole system looking for problems. I'd have had to get a ride home and a ride back from someone and god only knows what it would cost. But I took it over to Valvoline, half hour later my AC is working. All it took was a flush and recharge for $150 that they even said they wouldn't charge me for if it didn't fix the problem. They also inspected it while they were there to make sure there were no leaks and confirmed the compressor was working fine. My only complaint is that they relentlessly try to upsell you on all these other things that I don't know if I need or not. Even the things I'm pretty sure I do need, I don't know if I need them then. They prey on my lack of car knowledge and use it to squeeze more money out of me. I don't blame the employees but it's very off putting. read more

I am a satisfied customer at Valvoline. For me, there is nothing worse than waiting for my car to be serviced or trying to coordinate a ride there and back from a friend. So Valvoline suits my needs as being a quick and convenient option for oil changes and light maintenance on my Honda Accord. The employees are always cordial and respectful. They tend to be a little overly scripted though. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to get into a bay, and once in a bay- I am usually done within 15-20 minutes. But if I ever showed up at an unfortunate time and saw more than 1 car waiting, I would just come back later. My only gripe is the constant attempt to upsell service after service. I appreciate that they respect your decision when you say "no" and do not try to pressure you. Still, it gets annoying to decline 10+ services sometimes. And for someone who is not car-maintenance-savvy, I do second guess myself that I might miss a needed service in the flurry of services "explained" to me. But if you are looking for convenience and speed over the cheapest price (I usually pay around $40 I think) and aren't intimidated to decline a whole list of other services, then I would recommend Valvoline. I have been to multiple locations over the years, and the Roberts Rd one is a solid choice. read more

While out running errands I found myself in need of an oil change. Your location 060037. I've used it before. The lot was empty so at least I wouldn't have to wait Staff was friendly and all went smoothly. $46 later (this feels a bit high) and I'm on my way. This morning I'm driving down the road and the truck ahead of me hit some sort of a mud puddle on the highway. I go to clean off my now murky windshield and run out of washer fluid within about 10 seconds. Topping off wiper fluid has to be included in the $46 that I just paid you. Maybe not, times change. But lo and behold it's right there on the receipt. Windshield wash fluid "added" Another item oil service light "reset" Maybe your staff was just listing off times left for me to do on my own? Came in today for an oil change and tire rotation. Also asked them to check my engine light. I had my 1 year old son in the back and was worried about how long it would take but they were super fast maybe 20minutes but probably faster than that. I normally go to the Valvoline near my job but I had to take a risk and try this location. I'm so glad I did. All of the attendants were friendly and attentive but not annoying. It started to get crowded with people waiting in line and they were able to maneuver the customers so everyone could get in fairly. I will definitely be going here again. read more

I went yesterday for an oil change and although the tech voiced there's no pressure as part of her sales upsale pitch my air filter was taken out(prior to asking me) and shown to me. The filter was filthy so I agreed to have this one task completed. Upon leaving out of parking lot and driving a bit my engine light appeared. I've had zero problems and knew it was related to my visit. I went back I was told the connection was proper(where they changed my filter). They appeared to reconnect it but my light was still on, I was assured by a female tech that this would resolve as I drove. TODAY light still on, I went back asked for the manager, the female upsaler was the manager, I let her explain then I explained the light has never went off and that HER tech assured me it would, she then explained they never go off by themselves. She had to ask a gentleman to assist her, it's now fixed but please just be aware when going here..smh read more

On 08/02/19 I took my vehicle to Valvoline on Roberts Rd The service and management there is terrible. I'm only rating it a one star because it won't allow me to rate it zero stars. I normally do my own oil changes on my vehicles because it's really simple, there's nothing to it. But I was tired so I thought that I'd swing by the Valvoline on Roberts rd. since I was passing there anyway ... MISTAKE!!! I purchased my own oil and filter. The oil was FULL SYNTHETIC. As I was waiting on them to finish one of the guys came to the window and said I was short on oil by just under a quart and asked if I wanted to pay for them to add what I would need to fill it. I said yes. After I got home I looked at the receipt and noticed that the additional oil that they put in was conventional oil. Far from what I had brought to have put in. A complete difference. Conventional oil takes away from the performance of a full synthetic oil. It becomes destabilized by the mixture. It reduces and negates from the properties of additives. Your car loses the benefits of the more expensive synthetic oil. This will also mean that I will have to get an oil change sooner that I would have normally. it doesn't damage the vehicle bUt it does effect the performance of it. Synthetic Oils helps to keep fords and Lincolns running at its best - I have a turbo charged 2017 fusion titanium edition. I am very particular about my car. I take it to the car wash 2-3 time a day. This can be verifies. I go to the moo-moo on Rome-Hilliard. I spare NO EXPENCE for my vehicles. Mixing conventional oil with a full synthetic oil detracts from the performance of the synthetic oil, and reduce it's benefits. I could go on and on about this and get technical but I'm sure you get the idea. And the employees at Valvoline are supposed to be experts, so they know exactly what I'm talking about. after noticing this, I called Valvoline and explained what had happened. The manager said that it was okay it won't hurt the car...he said that it was an oversight...WHAT??? I spoke with two different dudes and they acted like it wasn't a big deal. This isn't all, the next day I did a tune up on my vehicle and noticed that my windshield fluid was bone dry. On the receipt it clearly states that the windshield fluid was added...This is an outright lie. I took a picture and video of it - which is time stamped for the day after. There was no rain or anything, so I didn't use it at all. I called the next day and spoke with the GM Jasmine Moore, and explained what had happened. I tried to reason with Jasmine and told her that I would be satisfied with crediting me my next oil change free - I would be suppling the oil and filter. She told me no, that she could only offer me a 20% discount on my next oil change. I told her that is one of your marketing discount for a customer who goes online to claim the coupon. So your not giving me anything for what had happened. the cost of my oil change includes ALL fluids topped off. it's included in the price. not only did I NOT get it, but they falsified the document to make me believe that they did. They lied. And I have pictures/video to prove it. - I noticed that one of your other reviews by Rory B. says the same that on is receipt it says that it was added but...it was not. This seems to be a regular practice with Valvoline on Roberts rd. - When I mentioned this to the GM Jasmine Moore she said it was probably just an oversight...That's every bodies go to/template response there at Valvoline. I thought that the customer was always right? In this case... not so, even when it's documented on their own invoice...smh I asked Jasmine Moore if I could speak with the District Manager and she told me no, that she handled everything. I called customer care and explained what had happened and they said that I should contact the GM again. I told them no I didn't want to speak with her any longer, she isn't for the customers, she's for the employees of Valvoline. So they contacted her and gave her my number to call me without my permission - even after I told them that I no longer wanted to speak with her. Note: I did not provide my contact information to Valvoline when I went in. SO Jasmine calls and offers the same 20% discount. Which I refused because that is one of their regular marketing discounts to customers, so that's not doing anything for the mix up or the lies and falsified invoiced documents. I told customer care that I wanted to contact the District Manager and they told me that they could not give me his contact information - but they can pass mine around without my permission? I went back up to Valvoline today 08/07/19 to try get contact information for the District Manager (email or give him mine or whatever I just wanted to speak with him about my experience with Valvoline and the staff employed there. I was told that I could not contact him. So I guess "The Buck Stops Here." DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO VALVOLINE ON ROBERTS RD. read more

I arrived about 5 minutes before 8 this morning. I know they don't open until 8, so I just waited in my van. I did see a young man inside when I first arrived, but no one ever opened the doors or came outside to greet me. I waited until 8:06, then I left. I drove a couple of miles to the Hilliard-Rome location where there were 3 cars ahead of me. However, someone came out right away and told me that it shouldn't be more than a 10 minute wait. My biggest issue is that no one even acknowledged my presence. If the young man would have come outside to let me know he was running behind, I would have been ok with that. read more
