Midas in latham, I can't say enough about the quality of work they perform at this fine establishment. I walked in there needing four tires and a few other things done but I came straight from the Animal Hospital where I just dropped $1,300 on my dog right no choice but to spend that money. So I was a little bit strapped for cash but I knew I needed new tires was talking to my man Sean in there and the guy went out of his way to go online find discounts for me do anything he could to help me cuz he's seen that I've been coming that store for many years took pictures of everything that needed to be done show me told me that some things didn't need to necessarily be done right now honesty of this man is amazing you don't have to shop you're walking to the try to Swindle you that's not the Big Sean does Business. Got out of there still had a couple bucks left in my pocket to get dinner. Mechanic shops are not something that usually inspire joy, but the Latham Midas is as close as it gets to automotive nirvana. I've taken three different cars to them over the last six years, and I never receive anything but highly professional and friendly service. Mike and Bob genuinely care about taking care of their customers, and the clean and welcoming office (comfy seating (including a table and chairs), free keurig and fridge full of soda, nicely lit with lots of windows) makes me not mind waiting an hour or two for service one bit. I went in for my free oil change (they have a great program) and they identified some serious issues with my tires (clearly beyond bald) and an extremely loose balljoint, as well as a few other things. They also didn't just tell me; they took me into the garage to show me what they were talking about. As these were unexpected by extremely necessary expenses, they helped me prioritize what was critical to fix for safety, and what could be put off until later. Really appreciated this, because it clearly wasn't a money-grab. They were patient, friendly, and had the work done within two hours so I could get back on the road. I've been here twice. both times I had good service .The manager and mechanics were very knowledgeable in fixing my car correctly the first time , Both times I went. My car had 2 Different problems. All staff are courteous and you can help yourself to fresh hot coffee or a cold can of soda for free. I would of gave 5 stars but I thought the prices were a little high..but SO isn't everything else nowadays. I had an appointment but while I was there the staff sqeezed in a few walk ins fyi..All in all I will be returning to this location For future car care and I highly recommend this Midas location. read more

In this day in age everyone wants their needs meet on demand. While this might be possible, most times your left questioning the quality of service. I came to Midas in Latham years ago with hesitation because I didn't want a repeat of a bad experience that i had with Mavis Tire. Midas of Latham is an exceptional shop. Mike, the manager kindly made my booking and John the mechanic was wonderful. John explained everything he was doing and checked items that I was not expecting to be checked- just making sure fluid levels were where they should be, battery life still strong and other important components of the car in fine working order. This is something a lot of customers would appreciate. Having something as important as your vehicle being worked on in a completely transparent way is the exactly how things SHOULD BE DONE!. Worked with Mike in regards to installing a new performance exhaust on my new Ram 1500. From the beginning Mike made my experience nothing but GREAT! From recommendations on what series of exhaust to accommodating my schedule I had a great experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every encounter I had with various staff members yesterday and today, wether it be by phone or in person, was pleasant and kind. This location has staff that all are friendly, accommodating, educated, not pushy (very important), and they provided all services in a timely manor. I was really satisfied with my visit to Midas today. Mike, the store manager, is such a nice guy and very trustworthy. The oil change/tire rotation took exactly the amount of time he said it would, the price was fair, and he even saved me some money in advising me not to change my fuel filter as Honda maintenance recommends (my car is brand new, and he advised that it was unnecessary to change it at this point). I was a first time customer today and was extremely please with my services. Everyone was very friendly even the other customers. I have never had any problems, sometimes you have to wait but all places are busy. If they are busy, then they must be doing something right. If you have an engine light on, go to your dealer.
