Back at the Honda service center in Richfield, MN we could pull up to the garage doors and someone would greet and check you in but this place seemed smaller so it's understandable that that option wasn't available. I brought a copy of some of the extended warranties I purchased at the MN Honda dealer before moving to MD. Initially I wasn't sure if they would still be honored but happy that the associate at the counter was happy to scan them and add it to my file. After dropping off my car they did the promised A1 services before the end of the day and called me when it was ready. I asked about some cosmetic dings on my bumper and they didn't try to unnecessarily up-sell any services. Overall pretty pleased! Also a big fan of the online scheduling system. It was easy to book and modify the appointment beforehand.

They found that a couple of my caliper pins were stuck, which caused the brake pads to wear unevenly -- one side looked normal while the opposite pad was worn completely down to metal and had already started grinding into the rotor. They pulled all four calipers, cleaned and freed the pins, and made sure everything was moving smoothly. Since two of my rotors had been damaged due to the uneven wear, I supplied a full rotor + pad kit and they installed everything perfectly. What really set them apart is how easy they made the whole process. I work during the day, and they allowed me to drop the car off in the morning and leave the key securely in a locked mailbox. After work, I was able to pick the car up without any hassle -- and in my case, they were still there around 6:30 PM and took the time to talk with me. It was refreshing not to get the usual pressure or fear-based mechanic speech where you're told everything under the sun is wrong with your car. Instead, we had a genuine conversation about future services I might want, and they answered all of my questions without pushing anything. Pricing was very fair, especially compared to what most other shops charge for rotor and brake replacement. The brake job was done right, and the value made it absolutely worth having a professional do it rather than tackling it myself. Overall, VCNG earned my trust -- the work was high-quality, the communication was honest, and the experience was convenient from start to finish. (Hence the star removal.) I think price is a little bit high, but I would reconsider them again when I need an annual reset. I was not given the first-time discount, but they said I should call and have that applied next time. So I recommend you call for your first-time to get that first discount.
