But this Midas location exceeded my expectations in not only their professionalism, but also by the no-pressure suggestions of what I would need to look out for at my next oil change. After getting there, the person at the desk told there were 2 cars in front of me, and to go ahead and run errands first before coming back after an hour. Indeed I did have to run errands, and they put me first on the list as soon as I got back. Very considerate! I first started going to Midas in January, after my Lexus IS 200T F Sport had some body work done. I went to Midas to get an alignment- a task that any well trained "mechanic" should competently be able to complete. I have been back at minimal 3 more times because Midas screwed up a simple alignment. The managers were condescending towards me, a 100% disabled veteran, because I had to continually go back to get a proper alignment done. Because of their complete disregard for being held accountable for their negligent failure to correct the alignment issue. So as months are passing by, and being told by other tire shops Midas was flagrantly contributing to my tires wearing improperly, my trust in their recommendations and solid work ethic grew to zero. I repeatedly returned complaining of the same problem- their lack of attention to detail and rush jobs were causing extensive wasting of the two front tires ($800). They rush the work, leaving my car and my safety in jeopardy. They will lie straight through their teeth with a smile believing they got one over on another female. Midas is not to be trusted for anything. Their reputation is one of lies, deceit, and blatant failure to get the job done right the first time, but more importantly, they put my safety in jeopardy each and every time they assured me that the work was done correctly but it wasn't. They are a huge liability and disgustingly arrogant for treating a soldier with such condescending, disrespectful, and highly unethical attitudes. TERRIBLE!!! Absolutely do NOT go here! Here is what happened to us. Engine died in hyundai sonata. Midas got a replacement engine and it came with a 90 day warranty. After 60 days the engine blew up and caught on fire. Car was towed to their shop. They kept the car for 3 months! After hundreds of calls and no answer as to what is going on, we gave up and had car towed to another shop. Had to pay thousands of dollars for uber rides to work. Please consult few other local mechanics before reaching here. I had a very bad experience and almost wasted $600 instead of $180 for coolant leak. I visited on June 1st for coolant leak and they said after investigation that my reservoir got burst and replaced with them on the same day. Again it started leaking and when I visit there, they said it's leaking on the Radiator and need to change the radiator which will cost around $800. I took my car to the local mechanic(very small firm) and they figured out it's just the hose which is leaking(shown me while doing the investigation, the coolant was leaking from the hose just like a syringe) and replaced for $120(including parts + labor). Lessor learnt that we should visit couple of mechanics to get the consolidated report and we should not blindly go with one. read more

MIDAS (620 W Parker Rd. Plano, Tx. 75075) Jordan Omar and his minion Robert like to mislead people about repairs done to your vehicle. I go in for a oil leak repair. Dropped my vehicle off at 8am on Saturday (5/8/2021) Leave with sputtering car, check engine light on, ERROR message on my odometer and my gauge does not move on Wednesday (5/12/2021). Got my vehicle at 2:41pm (was told I could have it at 1pm) while waited at the location and observed things that happened when you read further. I called Jordan Omar and inform them of all this, because my car was fine prior to the oil leak repair when I dropped off my vehicle on Saturday morning. Jordan Omar (who's the GM) tells me that I have an attitude problem. (read below and understand my attitude that Jordan said I had!!!) Robert hung up the phone in my face when I inquired about my vehicle on Monday (5/10/2021). Did NOT apologize when I can up to the location right after. While in the shop I observe my exhaust system apart. Lied to me saying my vehicle had a faulty filter when Thad was test driving and I saw 4 technicians pushing my vehicle back to there location. They never put the filter on. I saw Jordan Omar hand a filter to Robert whom put the filter on! The technician Thad claims that he stopped my vehicle when I inquired about them pushing my vehicle. While I am observing Thad turning off my check engine light that was never on when I brought my vehicle in for an oil leak repair. I fell they should pay for my repairs, but Jordan Omar say that they are NOT going to take care off my problems that he (Jordan Omar) and the rest of his team are clearly responsible for. He told me there are a few things I need to fix very soon but I don't believe so because I just bought it (2013 toyota camry) from Ford dealer less than a year ago. This was my third visit to Midas. I was referred by another company. Jordan and his staff are great. When I took my car in, he informed me of what to look out for and if I seen anything to call him the next day. The fluid had drained out the car and he and one of his staff drove 22 miles to my job from Plano, Tx to Oak Cliff, Tx and picked up my car. He called later to inform me of the problem, they fixed my car and drove it back to my job when I got off. If that is not excellent customer service I do not know what is. I had this Midas location weld some expensive aftermarket black exhaust tips on my 2016 Camaro SS. As it turns out, the paint on these exhaust tips was poor quality, flaking off at both the inlet and outlet of the tips as they mounted them onto my vehicle. I was ready to trash them, but the guys working on my vehicle mounted the tips and painted them with high heat Rust-Oleum spray paint that they had on hand. They did an absolutely amazing job, and I'm very grateful for their willingness to go above and beyond. read more

I took my car to Midas on Saturday for an oil change and was told my trans coolant line had a leak and Philip asked me if I wanted them to replace it. He also told me the previous shop that changed my oil stripped the oil plug but he rethreaded it for me at no cost. I declined the fix to my hose leak and paid for oil change and left. Next day had about 1 quart of oil on driveway. Spoke to the manager, Charles, on Monday in person and he said that according to receipt I declined the drain plug. I told the manager I was not offered a drain plug. The manager said he would contact the owner and get back to me. It is Wednesday, no response from the manager so I took my car to to another shop and have confirmed that there was no trans coolant leak and that now I need a new oil pan, plug $436. Don't trust Midas. Dishonest and obviously show no concern for their customers. Update.. As of 8-18-14, still no response from Midas management. 2nd update.. Two places I've taken my car to have exceeded my expectations, and this Midas is one of them. I booked an appointment online, and the owner emailed and called to confirm. They fixed my brakes and gave me estimates for several issues I knew about and didn't know about. One thing I asked the owner about--a very expensive issue--he managed to repair instead of replace my oil pan.
