I ended up paying a little over $1200 for the diagnosis which also included a charge of $250 for spark plugs, $250 for radiator coolant flush and $250 for brake fluid flush. The technicians diagnosed the problem as a knock and I needed to replace the engine but with nothing to back up their diagnosis. I went to another shop and got the same diagnosis, again, with the same diagnosis and nothing to back up or guide me to the problem. Finally, I called Angel Car Medic (via Yelp) and got a very detailed diagnostic report including cylinder pressures. They pulled the spark plugs and showed me how bad they were - even after just being replaced. Long story short, the diagnosis Christian Brothers provided was correct but they charged way too much for the other services. I was so stupid to select them for this!

While at the store charging my electric bike, witnessed the duo in action. I saw them clean the entire store top to bottom and complete a vehicle inspection with impressive thoroughness and precision. These guys deserve real recognition. I looked at my engine bay and oil was spilled everywhere in the engine bay. They left the oil filter loose while moving it to another lift and caused the oil to go everywhere in my ENGINE bay. On top of that they didn't mention anything to me after about this. Service was very UNSATISFACTORY and UNPROFESSIONAL. So, we thought we should be out of there in about 30 minutes. It ended up taking two hours. There were 3 employees working. Only one seemed to know what he was doing. He was underneath the car, and commented on the skid plate. He then switched places with another employee while he went to work on the car in the other bay. This employee was asking him questions about what he should be doing, which really made me nervous. No sticker with the mileage that the car should get a new oil change. I imagine it's a pretty decent value for an oil change you aren't worried about, but the experience made me feel nervous. The check engine light came on days afterwards, I know it probably just didn't get reset, but either way. My husband left a review,which was responded to, but he called, was told he would receive a call back, but it's been 3 days, and nothing.
