Horrible business. Brought my car in for grinding brakes ... they quoted me $750 for JUST brake pads for a Mazda... and $1300 for brakes and rotors. I got all the parts for both pads and rotors for $350, and got a reputable mechanic to do the labor for less than $200. This place is robbing people blind. read more

Brought my son's car in when he came to visit me. He was told by his Toyota dealership in Florida that his brakes needed to be changed. Midas checked and told him his breaks were fine. They did a tire rotation and sent him on his way. Will definitely use them in the future. read more

We took our car there this past Tuesday and gave them $100 for nothing. They so-called couldn't find out the problem but they still charged us. Then they wanted to start us down a rabbit hole of guess work and charge us more money. We should've just took the $100 and threw it in the street. Went to them while traveling and had a car problem. They told me it was spark plugs and that it would cost $49 to change the plugs. They did not say $49 PER PLUG, just for the parts. Not only did they act deceptively about the price and charge and INSANELY HIGH PRICE for spark plugs, after I drove away the problem that brought me in was still happening. Mechanic in Lee told me right away upon driving it that the problem was a frozen brake caliper, and that any mechanic should have known it wasnʻt plugs. Either Midas mechanic is incompetent or they just ripped me off, plain and simple. I called them back to complain and the manager basically told me to bug off, would not agree to a price reduction, even though they messed up. read more

I would leave a zero star not a trustworthy place to go. Call to check for an oil change price. They say it was around to $77 with the coupon a tax . I went there for an oil when he cash me out, I was charge I $96 asked him why when I call they say oil change was $77 but when I asked him why it was $96 he say because of the oil filter. Matter of fact when I look at the price for oil on there sign it was $89.99 with $20 coupon it should be around $69.99. He say the price $96 is with coupon. Not an honest place . I had requested a quote on-line earlier in the day to change a brake light bulb for a Suburu Forester that other service stations refused to do. The manager contacted me within 2 minutes with a general quote. I told him we would be there later in the afternoon to have the bulb changed. I entered the service desk area and and as soon as I mentioned change the bulb the manager addressed me by name and asked a few questions about the vehicle. He asked for the keys and said we could take a seat. Well we had no sooner sat down when he said you're all set and the price was less than the quote. What a great place to do business. My father went to Midas on Boston Rd and they assessed his car and quoted him $1200 to fix his brakes. The next day, his car started making noise. Thankfully, he got a second opinion and he was told there was NOTHING even wrong with his brakes. He ended up paying $300 to fix what was wrong. I just don't understand businesses that try to screw you over! Stay away from this shady store! read more

Today I went in to get an oil change. And then they told me that there is a seal called RTB. Over my oil filter housing so they couldn't even open my cap and then they told me that they would get me a quote for the oil filter housing and the cap so I was like sure just let me see the quote and then they went ahead and started the job without a signed signature and or permission from me. And then told me that they weren't gonna charge me for the oil cap but somehow they managed to take off the oil cap without any issues somehow so clearly they lied. They are straight up scam artists. I do not recommend them. And they did not even bolt on my skid plate correctly. read more

I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and Nick the manager was super honest and trustworthy. Other places will just take your money by having it done when you say the car needs it. But he did not; instead he said the oil gauge showed it still had 97% in it and all the other fluids are still within range. I will definitely come back oil changes/ brakes etc. read more

Brought my car in for a misfire issue. Dropped it off and a couple of hours later I got a ring back and was told they found the problem - 2 of my injectors were shot. I was hopeful about this because the spark plugs and ignition coils were already ruled out. He said he already had the parts on the way special ordered before even discussing the price. So I immediately thank him for finding the issue but tell him I really need to know the cost before committing to the repair. He tells me it makes sense to just replace all 6 injectors so we dont have to touch the injectors again afterwards (Which sounds fine to me), and gives me a subtotal of $2100 to get this done. Something doesnt sound right with this number, so right away I tell him I need to give him a call back before authorizing them to do this repair. OEM injectors are around $300 for all 6, which leaves 1800 left for labor. This is a 3 hour job for a mechanic who knows even a little bit about cars. I respectfully decline and tell him I will do the job myself or have to get it done elsewhere. I ask how sure he is that its the injectors and he reassures me thats definitely what it is. I pay him $193 over the phone for his diagnosis fee, thank him for his time and I get brand new OEM mercedes fuel injectors overnighted to me from FCP Euro. I get the job done in about 2 and a half hours, and thats taking my time and being thorough with everything. Surprise surprise, this did nothing to fix my car... car is still throwing the same engine codes and running identical to how it did before.. like crap. The only good thats come out of this is i eliminated one extra thing to look for in my next diagnosis... and hey at least my car has new injectors. But it pisses me off that I paid $193 for a WRONG diagnosis, and bothers me that I could have paid these guys $2100 if I was a sucker..... and then be left in the same spot. Im not one to leave bad reviews, but I tried following up with them twice so far and get noone answers the phone. I didnt want to walk in there and have customers nearby overhearing their wrongful diagnosis. But now Im annoyed, and hoping this doesnt happen on the regular to other people who actually might end up paying the $2000 in hopes to get their car fixed. read more

Moved to MA recently from Minnesota. Never seen or heard of Midas but noticed they are big in MA so I decided to try it out. I'm usually very picky where I take my car for service because I like good quality work and am always willing to pay for the service that I expect. I've been here multiple times since. Excellent customer service always brings back customers. Manager is very kind and helpful. Very easy to work with Midas. The employees are also friendly and give quality work.
