I've been hit and miss with Midas locations over the years, but I had a great experience at this one today. I came in for an oil change with a coupon. My coupon wasn't for this location, but they honored it anyway and even had me download a better coupon off their website. They were very friendly and prompt. I have taken both of my vehicles to Midas now several times and never have any issues. Justin and Mike have great customer service skills and always take the time to explain to me any issues with the vehicle and how best to move forward. I don't ever feel like they are trying to add services on that I don't need, like some other places may when you take your car in for an oil change. They were also cheaper than taking my car to the dealership for a recent issue that I was having with it, and made recommendations that included things I could do to avoid the issue at no charge (instead of forcing me to proceed with another test that I would have to pay for that isn't necessary). I'm getting ready to move out of the area but will likely continue to bring my vehicles back here due to the great customer service, pricing, and employees. read more

Apparently this location is Under New Management. I didn't even know it when I went in... it was my first visit... But I'm glad I got a chance to work with the new crew. I can honestly say I have never had such a pleasant experience with an oil change. The employees I interacted with we're friendly, knowledgeable, timely and transparent. And funny... we all need a sense of humor, and they were a bright spot in a day of car repairs. They were happy to discuss my options, but not pushy about trying to get me to choose the most expensive thing. It really was a matter of trying to find the best option for me. they looked into some repair work that I needed to have done ( I already knew there were going to be some repairs needed) they searched long and hard to find the part that was going to be needed to fix my car. They gave me their estimate, and when it was not going to be reasonable for my budget at the moment there was no attitude. Just a come back and see us when you're ready. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I called around asking for other estimates on the repair at other shops including the dealership and the estimate they gave me at Midas is the best one so far. How often do we get it right on the first try? Really? Their kindness and humor and honesty have earned my family's business. I recommend you give them a shot! read more

Mike, the new owner of Midas, impressed me so much that I had to write a review. My regular mechanic told me that I needed to get two muffler related repairs, and gave me specifics and told me to go to any muffler place. I chose this out of convenience, and brought my van into Mike. On both items, he gave me OPTIONS and reasons why I could SAVE money with these options. I called my regular mechanic to see about these options, and Mike was 100% honest and correct. I am not used to mechanic trying to SAVE money to customers, but Mike did just that. Extreme Caution... Get it in writing. I was a loyal customer and based on past practices thought I could trust them however something is has drastically changed. They have become the classic bait and switch rip off repair service that will hold you hostage. Had a break job done and a "recommended" new serpentine belt put on against my better judgment. A week later we heard a slight squeaky noise and was told belt just needed adjusting,. Went in and was told it was a water pump barring. We were told $65 to replace part. Seemed pretty low but thought it must be an easy fix. Came back to get it $633.57. When asked why so high, manager said we approved it verbally. This is a lie. Manager said we had to pay full price. When we said had we know we would have taken it some place else the manager became upset. He even stated maybe we should have just fixed it ourselves. Don't go here. we took a truck that we had just bought to them to look at the brakes and the front turn signal and just give it once over. They called and said that it needed rear brakes, and that it wouldn't be safe to pull a trailer with the brakes like that,, and that it would be $50 to replace a turn signal bulb .$50 to replace a bulb!!, the total of the work would have been $3150, we decided to take it somewhere else, they of course charged us the $28,for them to look at it, we paid that and then we took it to an independent and was told that the brakes just needed to be bled, nothing wrong with the bulbs, but the switch was bad. got everything fixed and instead of paying over 3 grand, the total was $727 and the truck is running great, and pulling a trailer everyday with no problems. These guys are scam artists, will tell you everything is a "safety issue" to scare you into having them "fix" things that aren't even broken. read more

they have very rude people here. they don't take responsibility and if a issue arises the people you think are good turn rude very quick. plus the work they do is half way... I have until recently taken my vehicles in here for any maintance. recently spent over 1000 on numerous issues within two of my 3 vehicles. when I called they were kind of rude then when I took it in the guy came in to argue me and say it's been five days and me having to defend myself which is not okay because even after five days and 3 hundred dollars that kind of customer service isn't okay. then the manager came in after they looked at it. his name is dennis. and he says if I have any other issues then call. also after sharing my concerns he says maam we just fixed your issue in a fast moment. well no because you had my car all day and even after 10 days other issues should not emerge and someone should not have to go through what I did. I don't even feel comfortable calling after that and I shared my concerns being heated after having lost 600 dollars for my husband to take off work them having my car from 8 am when we had appointment till almost 4 and car wasn't even out in parking lot when we got there. then to have to be 7 and a half months pregnant with 3 kids and pull them out to have it looked at and get disrespected the way I was (mind you I recorded the whole interaction) is a joke. also my other car got an oil change they claimed it had a oil pan Crack (my cars never had any leaking issues or anything ) and so we bring car home and all of a sudden there is a huge pile of oil. so we decide to take it to someone else come to find out there is no leak they physically showed us there is no Crack and the oil under car was from them over filling my oil to over the fill line. Pretty upsetting that I use to love this place and for it to have come to this but they lost out on trust and respect. I can't believe the disrespect these employees have especially for consistent paying customers sorry if it doesn't make sense. Worst auto repair in Colorado. Avoid at all cost, because you will pay a lot for terrible work!

Only giving one star because I'm forced to pick one as a minimum. This Midas store is a prime example of a chain store rip-off using a large Franchise name, arrogantly and poorly managed and lacking any customer service/integrity. Michael is the disgraceful owner/manager of this location. He clearly has no customer service skills and no sense of customer satisfaction. He even stated, when we had an issue and said we would put a complaint forward to Midas HQ, to go ahead, we are a franchise and they won't do anything. Obviously this wasn't his first complaint/customer issue and clearly doesn't care about customer satisfaction or doing what is right. Karma, believe in it Michael. You and your business will tank one day with your business practices. You can't cheat forever. After having an in depth, 20 minute long conversation with Justin (the Tech) about what we wanted done on our truck, talking about options available and then being told they can do what we specifically wanted done, we decided to move forward with the job at Midas. What a mistake......When we went to pick up the vehicle, we saw that the job was exactly what WE DIDN'T want and spent 20 minutes earlier that day discussing. When Justin was questioned as to why he did exactly the opposite of what we discussed/asked, he said "I thought I was doing you a favor and saving you some money". This clearly made no sense after having a in-depth conversation earlier in the day about the specifics and what we did not want on the truck. We were basically held hostage to pay for the service to get our keys back. We then tried to talk with the manager (Michael) but he was not "available". The next day we called to discuss the issue and what Justin had done. Michael did nothing but make excuse after excuse for his employee. He was arrogant and insisted basically even though the job they did was NOT what we asked for (he admitted that part - go figure?) he insisted it was better than what we wanted (his opinion). Michael had no consideration for what the customer asked for and what his shop delivered. It was basically like taking your car to get painted and asking for, picking out and selecting a beautiful red color and when you pick up your vehicle it is is blue! Then the manager saying look how great it looks, what a great, quality job we did and it saved you money.......the point being......blue was not what was ordered! This shopcould careless about the customer, from the Manager/Owner all the way down to each employee. Read the rest of the reviews, they are a chain store with less than par customer service skills, less than adequate technical skills and obviously have ruined many vehicles along the way. The reason Michael probably has this business is because he can just pay a royalty/franchise fee to Midas and hope the coupons put out will bring him business. He obviously would never make it as a real "auto shop" owner on his own without a national "paid for" name. He is one of those ones that would rip off your grandma if he has the chance, let alone your teenage driver or anyone on the street that just needs good car service. He's the type you read about and see on those special ripoff shows on TV! What a shame! read more

Does not deserve rating at 1st when I had gone to them thought they were good but learned otherwise they replaced or so they said they did replace a transmission gasket when we returned the 1st time they tried to say it is coolant but knew better kept leaking took it back they were unwilling to admit it was not fixed and became rude and in turn we became rude and the situation escalated with no resolve. They in turn have accused us the consumer of wrong doing and say any estimates we have to fix do not state leak now why would another mechanic say the gasket needs to be replaced if it wasn't leaking!! So needless say it wasn't coolant and they didn't fix because the manger of this store so arrogant he doesn't know how to treat customers weather they are upset or not he initially had no compassion for the situation from the beginning if he had it never would have gotten out of control. I had been taking my car to Midas since moving to Denver a year and a half ago. The last time I took it in, the engine light had come on and the car was running poorly. Dennis called and told me there was nothing really wrong, they had done all the diagnostics and he said if I would have all the spark plugs replaced and the fuel injection cleaned it would fix everything. At the price of $185.00, I picked up the car the next day and Dennis reassured me the car was fine and running great. After driving about 20 miles the engine light came on again and the car was running bad again. I took the car back the next day and then received a call from Mike the owner, saying the 2 cylinder was out and it would cost $3600.00 to rebuild the engine. As I did not have $3600.00 to rebuild the engine I picked up the car. They did not refund the$185.00 I paid the day before for the misdiagnosis from Dennis. I will never take another vehicle to them nor would I recommend anyone else take their vehicle there. In the past year I have paid out $1200.00 for various issues only to end up with the car ruined. We took our 2010 F150 to Midas at 4005 E. 120th Ave in Thorton CO 80233 on Monday April 29th 2013. We took it in for a basic transmission flush and service. They did the flush, and put the fluid in. They brought our truck down off the racks, and couldn't get it to go into reverse. They called us and asked us if we ever had any problems before, we had not. They then called their owner, Mike, in. He called us and informed us they put the wrong fluid in the truck, but nothing would be seriously wrong and they would have it fixed in a bit. They proceeded to call us to call us back and then informed us that they authorized a $6000 full over haul and the new transmission would come with a warranty. They also informed us that their "experts" said that the transmission was in bad shape to begin with and putting the wrong fluid might have tipped it over the edge, but they can't be sure. When I spoke with Vincent (manager) he told me there were issues with the payment, and they were talking with their vendors. The next time I spoke with him, he informed me that their vendors aren't going to be paying for the transmission and there are still issues with the payment. The last time we spoke with Midas, we were informed that the truck we running fine, and there was $4600 due upon pick up of our truck. They never once told us that we were going to be responsible for the payment of the transmission, and now that the truck has been gone for 3.5 weeks, they are telling us they are not paying for it, because of what their "experts" said. Now, we have no truck and a $4600 bill upon pick up, and we can't take it to an expert of our choice because the transmission has already been over hauled. This is not our responsibility; Midas should be paying for this. Our truck worked perfectly fine when we drove it to their shop. read more
