The service is always excellent at this place! Of course the establishment is small, so there was no seating available on a Saturday evening. My two friends and I had to awkwardly stand to the side until a spot opened up about 10 minutes after we got out drinks. The starburst beer is very yummy and sweet and priced well for 1L. The Lila Geist is very yummy, refreshing and cheap for the ABV!

Love the outdoor, casual vibe of Biergarten. It's been a downtown staple for years and years. We had to stop in when we took a shelter dog out for the day since they're dog-friendly. I always go for a big pour of the Starburst beer. It's so smooth and refreshing. But this was my first time trying the food, so we ordered a some hot dogs and garlic fries. The food came out quickly, and the staff was on top of it, clearing dishes and keeping everything moving. The garlic fries were honestly some of the best I've had; super craggy and garlicky. The dogs were good too. I loved the toppings and the spicy mustard, though the sausages themselves were a little bland. Still, for the price and a quick bite in a fun setting, I'm not complaining.

The food here is phenomenal and immediately made me miss being in Munich during Oktoberfest! The gentleman that was taking orders and outing beers was super nice! It was pretty packed when my friends and I arrived but were still able to find seating. They have a great selection of beers and again the food was incredible, especially the pretzel with beer cheese.

It's a fun place to hangout with a number of beers on tap that aren't as readily available on tap at other locations. Kudos to the team for that. Additionally, they have Jenga style blocks on the table, making it a great place for a fun date or groups to get together. It was very much used for both purposes while we were there, so vibes were great. Got a beverage and it was delicious. When asked, staff will also provide recommendations. For the food, I really wish it had hit the same. Each time I go to Germany, there is a non-negotiable for me. I've got to have some currywurst; it's one of my favorite things in the world. Even the lesser ones I've had in Germany have made me happy. I was hoping that the one here would transport me back to Germany. They make an effort, but there's something that just doesn't hit the same. The sauce here is really sweet. Almost BBQ sauce tasting because of the sweetness. There was a bit lack of curry element. It made for a different pairing with the sausage itself. I really wish the currywurst reached the level I was hoping for. Just a note for those sensitive: garlic fries were heavy on the garlic. Heavy.

We absolutely loved our experience at the Midtown BierGarten! This outdoor BierGarten had lots of seating and such a pretty atmosphere with the fall leaves. There was even cornhole and other games to play. The service was great! The bartender was "in character" with the German accent and lingo, he was super awesome. We tried the Starburst beer SO YUMMY! If you stop by you also have to try the pretzel, fries, and Belgian waffle!

: Yesterday was my first time here. First, the good: The staff was very friendly. Service was fast. Great atmosphere, tasty beer (at least the one I tried), and they let you sample before choosing. They also have their own kitchen. Now, what I didn't like: The tables were not wiped down. Currywurst: the sausage seemed almost raw to me not grilled and not even browned -- and the portion was quite small. The fries, however, were pretty good. Schnitzel: not bad, but not good either. The schnitzel came with two lemon slices, one of which was moldy. The sauerkraut however was good. I wouldn't call the prices affordable, but if the portions were larger, that could be overlooked. Overall, guys, we left hungry and if it weren't for the beer and the staff, this would have been a one-star review.

Love it! Staff was super friendly and helpful! Terrific outdoor seating. (Only outdoor seating) beer was terrific! And I had the sausage plate with the cucumber salad. Loved it! Definitely will be back!

Great spot for a drink! Me and a coworker came here after work to catch up. We both ordered the Starburst beer. It is fruity and refreshing and delicious! Just an FYI, they only have an outdoor seating area

Solid food for a solid price. Decent selection of beers and good service. Misters and shade kept it decently cool for the Sacramento summer!

Walked in off the street, an it was so nice after every other place had a line to not have to deal with that. The kitchen was closed, but the bartender was quick to let us know. I tried a grapefruit Hefeweizen mixed with a pomegranate cider which they call a starburst there and it was delicious!

Belgies and a Starburst. My partner had the Dunkel.

Midtown Biergarten is one of my partner's favorite places to go for a bite to eat and a drink. This authentic charming beer garden is open air with tables and benches straight from Germany. Whenever possible, co-owner Sean Derfield makes sure that many of the beers on tap are from Germany as well. There's a limited menu featuring German sausages, salads, pretzels and Belgian Waffle sandwiches. On our latest visit, for Valentine's Day, we enjoyed the Starburst, a signature blend of rattler and cider, with a refreshing light and sweet taste. We also tried the belgie of the month, which featured pastrami and andouille sauce. We love Biergarten for the range of people it attracts, the fun ambiance and casual nature. If it's not raining, stop in for a taste of the old country in Midtown.

Service is great, employees are so friendly and helpful my favorite beer is their starburst. The food is good to snack on the fries are delicious as well as the platter. You also can't go wrong with the pretzel.

Midtown Biergarten is such a fun, laid-back spot to hang out in Sacramento. Big communal tables, all outdoor seating, and a friendly, neighborhood vibe. Highlights: - Awesome selection of German and craft beers--lots to explore. - Pretzels and garlic fries are the perfect snack. - Super dog-friendly and great for groups. - They were running a fun contest where whoever holds a 5-lb beer mug the longest over three weekends wins a ticket to Oktoberfest in NYC. Such a unique idea that added to the lively atmosphere! Just a heads up: it gets crowded on weekends, and there's no indoor seating, so check the weather. Overall, one of my favorite places to relax with friends over good beer and a bit of friendly competition.

What does their flammkucken taste like? Those who have traveled to Germany and tried this dish, does it really taste like the traditionally flammkucken in Germany?

    Is it kid friendly?

Yes we are kid friendly till 7pm on most days; kids are always welcome with an adult escort. It's just after 7pm, we make it 21 and over so we do not have problems with under age trying to get a beer. So if they are with a 21 and over they are…

The whole idea of Tap Houses really does appeal to me…read more I love being able to just grab a glass and seeing all the beers on the wall and picking what I want and how much I want. The people who run Waymaker Brewing in Roseville are doing this at the highest level. I've been to this location a few times for different events and every time a wonderful time was had. So as far as the beers go they have around 40 different beers on tap and also they have 10 wines on tap as well. So exactly how it works is this- When you walk in you give them a credit/debit card-then they give you a wristband-next you grab a glass and go pick your beer or wine and you get charged by the ounce you actually pour rather than by the glass size. Then at the end of the visit, you turn in your wristbands and you get charged whatever it is you poured in total for the visit-I love the entire concept. It's a great way to be able to try many types of beer instead of just a few big beers. Now let's talk about the elephant in the room for Waymaker. The thing that makes this place unique is they have 6 golf simulators a person can rent depending on day and time anywhere from $35-$60 an hour and up to 6 people can play on the simulator at one time. On these simulators there are more than 200 virtual courses available. It's a crazy amount of fun for golfers of all skill levels There is also a hand roll sushi bar inside called Fire Fish where one can order sushi-hand rolls-flatbreads or various small plates. It really is an amazing place. They also have a massive big screen in the back that is furnished with comfortable couches and chairs in case one wants to just hangout and watch whatever live sporting event is happening that visit. Let's see my last few visits I've gone with my son and we played a round of golf at Pebble Beach on the simulator. I've gone to a birthday party for my boss and we had 2 simulators rented and we ate sushi rolls and flatbread while drinking a lot of beer. I've gone to do after work drinks with a friend while watching NBA playoff basketball. Visits to Waymaker can be so many things but I can say for sure every visit will be fun. So if you find yourself out in Roseville and want to try something a little different-head on out to Waymaker Brewing, it really is a great time. PS. Parking is a breeze as they share a big lot with lots of spaces with other businesses.

Me and my husband are novice golfers and thought it'd be fun for practice and with our family (took our 7yo and MIL). Pros: Very cool concept. Loved that we could practice our swings, use different clubs, and be able to see all of our specs. Loved the idea that they had sushi cause it's our kids favorite. And loved that they had not just beers, but a good variety of seltzers, ciders and even wine on tap! Cons: VERY limited food menu. What they had listed on their website was NOT what they had available for purchase. There were only maybe 10 food items to choose from, and very high priced for what it was. A couple of hand rolls (1 each for $8-$10), Poke Nachos (on tortilla chips - big no no! - use wonton chips!) for $20 (price ok since you got a few small pieces of fish per chip, but they skimped by using tortilla chips, on both price and flavor! And they had 3-4 sushi rolls. Their "special" roll being $20 alone. There wasn't really anything special about it. Definitely not worth $20!! The fish tasted fresh, but so does the local sushi place down the street with massive rolls, full of fish, for $16-18/roll. So don't expect much from the food. I went to ask the guy at the front of if it was user error on the mobile app... he said that they run out of food and when that happens, they just take it off the menu. LAME! Put a disclaimer on your website! Additionally, the guy at the front desk (upon check in) - unhelpful! He asked us if it was our first time, which it was. He set us up and told us if we had questions to just come ask. We did, and each time he seemed like it was more of an annoyance that we were taking him away from his phone time (that he was on every time I went to ask a question). And instead of explaining to us how things work, and how to maneuver through the screens and set things up, he just did what we asked/needed without showing us so we could never fix it or do it ourselves. We figured some things out on our own, but if you have newbies, it would be worth showing them how to use the system so it doesn't take a ton of our paid for time (at $50/hour) to figure things out. Such a waste and makes the cost to worth ratio deteriorate very quickly. So overall, would we go back. Maybe. Definitely not with our kid (which makes it more rare that we'd return). I like to give everything a second try. But for the cost, it would take some convincing and a MUCH better second experience for me to ever go back or recommend this place to friends.
