This is a place worth visiting if you're in the Clarkesville or Cornelia area. A friend of mine and I had a really good lunch there one Saturday afternoon. Joan and I were out driving all over north GA last Saturday and stopped by to try their food. Joan had a BBQ sandwich and sweet potato fries with their marshmallow dipping sauce. I had their chicken salad sandwich grilled on sour dough bread and the sweet potato fries. Andrew was our waiter and the manager of the restaurant. We were very impressed with the food, the service and the pricing. Andrew went above and beyond in helping us not only with our food but told us how to get to the Jaemor Farm store up the street a few miles away. This place is well worth the stop! We were traveling home and googled kid friendly places and we decided to give Midtown a try. It absolutely did not disappoint. I had the veggie burger mushroom Swiss style and the bun, gosh the bun! Slightly toasted on the flat top for the perfect amount of crunch! This place punches way above their weight. It looks like a nondescript storefront just off the highway, and the decor is nothing fancy, but the burgers and sandwiches are imaginative and delicious. We had the Athens burger (daily special) with gyro meat and tzatziki sauce, and the Clarkesville burger with pimento cheese, bacon and strawberry jam (?!?). Burgers were great with a good char, fries were really good. The kids even liked the chicken fingers. Staff were masked and tables were properly spread out. Definitely on our repeat list. read more

Pretty good hamburger joint. Good onion rings, milkshakes and "gourmet" hamburgers (with toppings like apple jam and goat cheese). You can get a regular burger or hotdog as well. Decently priced. read more

Great place that's on the verge of being amazing. You walk in and get a sense that this is going to be a fun playful experience with the modern decor yet with old fashioned type setup. The kitchen is completely open for all to see and the sizzle of charred beef on the flat tops lends to the ambiance. I noticed the health score was a 99. The menu has a solid amount of options, any bigger and the turnover and quality might suffer. Drinks are served in styrofoam, meals are served in paper lined baskets. I'd love to see real cups and plates but then they'd need dishwashers and the prices might be higher. We all ordered burgers, my Wife the Ellijay, myself the Clarkesville, and my kids got cheeseburgers from the kids menu. The flavor combinations are nice but some of the ingredients get lost. The Ellijay comes with goat cheese, apple jelly, bacon, and spring mix and tastes very good. But the goat cheese is so subtle, I wonder if a more robust cheese might be able to hold up better. The Clarkesville came with house made pimiento cheese, bacon, strawberry jam, and pickled jalapeños. It leaves you feeling warm but it doesn't overpower at all. That's a great burger. The kids burgers were almost if not the same size as the regular burgers. All the burger patties were hand pressed and had a great char while staying nice and juicy. My wife ordered hers medium and it came out a perfect medium. The buns on all the burgers were toasted perfectly. The fries and house chips came from the freezer though. When we came in it was 5:30pm and relatively empty but by the time we left at 6:30pm it was pretty full. That was probably why it took some effort to get drink refills. We finished the evening with some milkshakes however all of them seemed almost watered down. I'm not sure if they added ice but it gave the sense of freezer burned ice cream. Not the highlight. Either way we will be back. It's some quirks that can be easily remedied, and if so, my score will be remedied as well. read more

Great burgers and fries always has been from the start. I do not recommend the new Italian dishes they offer in Clarkesville very poor quality. For instance egg plant should not be paper thin and cooked to the consistency of bacon. They need to fire the Italian cook and hire someone that knows what they are doung. read more

I drove to Cornelia from Buford (45 minutes) to meet a friend at a neutral site. He had raved about Midtown's burgers and he wasn't exaggerating. I had the Atlanta Burger with peaches and a bourbon sauce and I can't remember having a burger that good. They have several specialty burgers that you won't see elsewhere. The service is friendly, and their sweet tea is as good as it gets. It's worth the drive and I'll go back when I'm craving a good burger. The drive is worth it. read more

Visiting from out of town I found this restaurant on Yelp! and decided to try it. The foodie-type burgers were what drew my attention--as well as the sweet potato fries with marshmallow dipping sauce. The sweet potato fries and dipping sauce did not disappoint! They were amazing. THE best burgers EVER!!! I love the crazy concoctions that they come up with. Apple jelly, bacon, arugula and goat cheese on a burger sounds crazy but it's soooo good!!! I've had almost every burger on the menu and I have never been disappointed. My kids love and I love everything about this place, from the food to the staff. Midtown Grill is in a very unassuming strip mall next to a Wal-Mart. The menu is fairly small, but Midtown offers a nice selection of burgers beyond just the standard cheese and bacon. The price is very reasonable compared to what you'd find in Athens or Atlanta. read more

They have the best specialty burgers around! I love the clarkesville with pimento cheese, strawberry jam, bacon and jalepenos. My sone loves the Hawaiian with pineapple, onions, and teriyaki sauce.
