I wish I could rate this place without a star, but I can't. The French waffle fries were stale, tough, and dry, lacking any real potato flavor. The chicken sandwich was just chicken. The original version lacked a distinct flavor. The sauce was bland, the bun was squished, it wasn't dressed properly, the chicken was like warm, and the pickles lacked brine or vinegar to add any contrast. I believe this place remains open mainly because travelers stop by when they're hungry between flights. This place is located near gate B7. We only came here because we were hungry for chicken strips. We stopped at M Burger but the prices were crazy so we made our way here and... the prices were just as bad. $16 for 4 chicken strips and fries. The strips looked like the tenderloin you get from Costco. And it's like they dipped it in egg and flour with absolutely no flavor or spices. It was terrible. Worst meal in Chicago: I could do better and get the entire Costco bag of tenderloins for $16. I would generally not get chicken strips at MDW. read more

At Midway Airport on 8/8/24 in Southwest terminal. Needed food before next flight. Unfortunately we went to Jersey Mikes after being completely ignored at the cheesesteak place. The employees were rude and had no personality. They seriously need to get new jobs as they clearly hate the jobs they have. On my last flight I was leaving out of b terminal and seriously all over the concession stand food was really overpriced. I finally settled on Camden food company. I got a Cubano. I would say that the service and ambience was excellent, but the food was garbage. Spend $18 for a deep dish sausage pizza and it was all bread. Four pieces of sausage. Then moved over to the Chinese and sushi outlet order a orange chicken with fried rice on a chicken egg roll. Both the chicken egg roll and the orange chicken with fried and out of dated oil The taste was nasty. The orange chicken was all breading. Maybe I found three pieces with chicken. The egg roll taste it old and it was fried in old new nasty fry oil. And to top it off the fried rice was tasteless and greasy. read more

Sunday evening at 6:30pm for a 10 pm flight to Nashville. Concourse B so we headed to the central food court area to get dinner. We went for tacos but they were out of steak, chicken and no salads. We went to bistro but they didn't have 3 of the 4 appetizers, no salads, didn't have 4 of 5 chicken/other entrees. They DID have burgers and sandwiches. But the burgers were $19.99! Cheesus crust! We got up and went over to the pizza place, but THEY were running out of items and were limited. We finally ended up at AD&B. Husband had a hot dog that was delicious and I had the southwest chicken wrap. It was $14.95, but I must say, it was one of the best wraps I have ever had. Really full and great portion. Order of fries was nice and hot/fresh. The airport needs to do something about running out of food when the airport is FULL of people looking for dinner, regardless of how expensive. Surely those in charge realize that they lost thousands of dollars in sales on just this one night. Don't have restaurants if you can't offer and provide food. If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst breakfast panini ever. Plane is delayed an hour, 5:30am protein shake won't cut it until 1pm, so grabbed this. What a joke. At least I'm not paying for it but still. Absolutely disgusting, nearly inedible food that's shockingly overpriced. Horrible selection, slow service, and just in general one of the worst experiences for passengers connecting through here. There used to be a Potbelly here that was consistent, affordable, and tasty. It got removed. Now there's just nothing here but disgusting, overpriced slop. I try to fly through here on Southwest as infrequent as possible. Between the slam-landings and tight quarters what has always disappointed me was the departure of the Pot Belly (there's 2 in Baltimore BWI). So get ready to spend +$10 on mediocre food of very poor quality. If you want something better you'll be shelling +$15. Put it simply, you can't find a simple beverage for less than $3. After combing the various eateries, if you're looking for a cheap bite then there are a few of options I found, though neither I must admit I've tried: 1. Gold Coast Dogs ... which offers hot dogs around $6 with meal combos of a soda and fries for around $10. 2. Sandwiches from Hudson News ... they looked decent and better than the awful sandwich I got from Cafe L'Appetitto that comprised of store bought sandwich meat and vegetables that were well past their prime. Sandwiches are around $10. 3. BIGGEST RECOMMENDATION ... Scope the various eateries and look at the pre-packaged stuff (i.e., salads, wrapped sandwiches) that way you can see what you're getting immediately and what you're paying for otherwise you're left perhaps regretting your purchase. Seriously, keep your layovers as short as possible and bring food with you. It's my hope that Southwest will leave Midway soon as their main hub and shift to either St. Louis or Kansas City. Midway has just gotten worse since I started flying with Southwest in 2006. This used to be a gem of a stop over but it's terrible. read more

When I asked her to clarify (perhaps I heard wrong) she said with a nasty tone, "it's not working but I want to confirm it's not working." The breakfast sandwich from The Market was truly repulsive. The "toasted" bagel tasted like a sponge, The accompanying prefabbed egg disc and cheese goo was almost as nasty. I tried two meals at the Billy Goat Tavern thinking maybe my first experience was a fluke. But no, the buns taste STALE! That's the way they bake them. True Burger was not good, and breakfast at Reilly's Daughter was a sad joke. All of the new places are nicely decorated, leading you to think the food might be good, but unfortunately that is not the case. read more

Midway Airport is a convenient airport to fly into when we visit family, and when family returns us to the airport, we always save a little extra time to visit one of the many dine-in or grab and go establishments. My very favorite is the Greek 'grab and go.' The food is authentic and tasty and the prices are just about right for airport dining. We have visited the Irish dine in pub and it was a bit too crowded every time we've been there. The food is okay, the beer is cold, so it balances out to be just fine if you have time at Midway. Overall, lots of different venues available for just about any pallet. [In a separate review, I will talk about the White Sox Grille. It has NO place in a 5-star review, barely a 1 star]. I come to Chicago about 4 to 5 times a year, and mostly fly into Midway via Southwest. The food selection is so awful... just shocked that a big city like Chicago would have such terrible food choices at a airport. What a let down. I miss Potbellies so much. Of all the Chicago pizza, why homerun Pizza? Not the best representative of Chicago pizza. Dunkin' Donuts is a awful. The donuts tastes like cheap manufactured things shaped like a donut. I took one bite and threw it away. How about a decent coffee shop? There are quite a few good Chicago coffee shops why isn't there one in the airport? The board/leadership team who made the food choices about what should go into Midway made really, really bad decisions. I have to try to remember to bring food to the airport. read more

Controlled by a single concession management company whose pricing is clearly in violation of their contract with the City. Plus the City further gouges customers with an additional airport sales tax after already collecting $1.80 per passenger in concession rent. $15 for a lousy breakfast sandwich and a dismal cup of coffee. 1 star because zero stars is not an option. This used to be a great place for decent fair priced food. Now it is overpriced, poor food quality, and an even worse quality of employees. Pegasus, the Greek place, stood above the rest in the past. No longer. Now they don't serve the entire menu in the morning nor do they have a sign stating that. Instead you will wait in a slow moving line to eventually place your order. The entitled person with attitude will then say "breakfast." I said exactly, I'll have a pita wrap for breakfast. Her response again was "breakfast". I wasn't sure if that was the extent of her vocabulary or if I was missing something. If you're not going to serve the posted menu, how about a sign stating such? What happened??? Stood inline at the marketplace for 10-15 to get an espresso only to be told the machine wasn't working. Finally walked all of the way back to get a Big Brother Latte. Sigh.
