I have been going to this dentist office for 20+ years. In the past 5 or so years I have been getting worse and worse experiences here. One man Dr there absolutely ruined some of my molars by doing some work on them grinding away for what felt like forever. I had no teeth pain but left with permanent teeth pain. I now would only book appts with Dr. Mechael. The front office has been pretty shady with billing as well. I received a crown a few years ago when all I wanted was composite resin filling. I was billed out of pocket somewhere around 1k, when my insurance covered it. They did go out of their way to let me make payments but then continued to bill me after I was all payed up (had to keep an eye on them) Then most recently I got multiple composite resin fillings that were covered by my insurance. They billed me anyways, $1200. Insurance told me they payed ec fam dental and it was insurance fraud for them to still bill me, they Know That is against the rules to still bill the insured. They are supposed to take the hit. I don't expect anyone to ever take a hit when work is performed. We're all trying to make a living. I'd gladly pay if my insurance doesn't. But they did. And I am calling every week requesting to be reimbursed. With still no reimbursement. Or call back as promised. Even after I gave check # and DCN# to assure that my insurance paid and for what teeth. Now I was just hung up on trying to collect my money that they double billed for. I will not be returning. I thought this was an honest family ran business. Sorry to Dr. Mechael for the poor review. Maybe she is unaware how her business is being ran. But I am expecting a full reimbursement or I will be filing a report to my insurance. Will prob get chewed out by their office manager for this review as it looks like that is how poor reviews by disgruntled customers are handled. Update: They reimbursed me partially. They told me they deducted 2 teeth that weren't paid for. I accepted that but then decided to have them confirm what teeth they did pay for. Turns out they DID in fact pay for those 2 teeth. So now I'm currently on hold waiting for the remainder of my money. To be reimbursed. Stay on top of your shit with these people or you will get taken for so frustrated right now. The dental hygienist were also great. The dentist office had newer equipment and I sincerely enjoyed going to the dental office. However, as time passed I went in and a different dentist would attend me without explanation. Going to the dentist is already an unpleasant thing, and having a doctor I was unfamiliar with attend me without notice was something I didn't like. He seemed to get frustrated on one occasion when a crown would not sit properly in my mouth. They had to do another 3 d scan and remake it. I don't remember his name anymore, but I do remember feeling a bit uneasy in his care. At first I would get reminders and as time went on I began to have issues with my appointment not being scheduled properly. I would have to call to set up appointments because the staff failed to make them. The last straw for me was when I went in because of grinding my teeth and I was just rushed over to go see a specialist across the hall. I felt i was expected to understand the dental process, when I didn't, and I felt like staff was upset that I didn't want to make a decision when I didn't understand the process. I ended up changing dentist after that experience. The new dentist I went to explained it to me in a way I could understand. Now I wear a night retainer to alleviate some of the pressure on my teeth.
