At midway nissan have to get my truck fixed. So I dropped it off at the service department. Walked out to the front of the dealer to wait for my wife to pick me up. While sitting here there is 3 sales people standing under a shade tent. As there are a few customers roaming around. A few new customers came in and the sales guys just sat here. And are making rude comments about a new customer and how fat she is. And instead of going to help they let some one else help her and was laughing at the person that decided to help her. Also speaking in Spanish thinking no one can understand what they are saying. I am a white person that speaks fluent Spanish and know everything they was saying about the customer. I would never buy from this dealer because of these 3 guys. I went in there 2 days later to speak to a manager and to get my daughter the new car she's gonna be paying hugely for and no one was there to help . I literally spent 5 hours there with your managers , they made us wait they had no time for us every other answer was well I don't know yet and we'll let me ask and while everyone else is getting taken care of ... there is a meeting with finance managers for over 3 hours (stalling) . I purchased a used car at a tent sale a few weeks ago and have had nothing but trouble ever since. First my car needed a new battery after dying on me while I was out. Midway replaced my battery, but I had wasted half a day getting it. Then I get called into the dealership twice to sign papers they had "misplaced". Seriously? Not to mention the 4 hour wait for them to clean my car because it was not cleaned before the tent sale. This has been the worst car buying experience I have ever had. Alrighty, Midway found a way to screw us again. They set my son's car payment up with Smart Note, which would have been fine if they set it up correctly, which they did not. They set it up so that the payment was $31.19 short every month. Now the bank is calling because the loan has a past due balance. It really appears that this dealership is totally inept. Yes, my son should have been on top of this, and taken notice that the drafts were short, but then again, Midway employees should have the knowledge to set it up correctly in the first place. I got a 2019 Altima here last year, not only they added a whole lot of add ons to it, they also raised my mrc by $50 from what we originally agreed on. I am now paying $600 a month(and I am not over exaggerating it is $599.07) for a low quality 4 cylinder sedan. IN ADDITION TO THAT, Nissan will call you every month to sell you yet another low quality car with 0% interest rate. They lured me into a dealership this may to "refinance" my car, I was dumb enough to even consider that as a possibility. I went in, they checked my info and offered me to get a more expensive Nissan morano with EVEN HIRE INTEREST RATE OF 9% and $700+ monthly payment. GUESS WHAT, they call me again in July, September and today (10/05) to SCAM ME, and sell me another crap. I called this dealership multiple times and got the run around from each salesman and manger I spoke with. Each one would guarantee a call back and I'd never hear from them again. When someone would call me back it would be in regards to my missed appointment I never made. Go through my situation AGAIN to be told I'd receive a call back. After weeks of their BS I started getting text messages asking me to refer a friend and they get $500 and I would as well! If that is dependable as their call backs I wouldn't hold my breath on it. If I could leave negative stars would, tried to buy a Certified Pre-Owens Nissan Leaf. Had my own financing and just needed an out the door price, so what to be careful with when dealing with Hector the sales manager. They don't tell you about the additional $1600 add on they call desert protection package. He will tell you it's the certification of the vehicle' but all you are getting is tint, undercoating and some wax. Do your homework with these guys, every car on their lot has this fee. Oh yeah and by the way as for Julio, he tried working out a deal on a new car and left me on hold and it was on one of his sales guys cell phone. Also don't expect any follow up calls from Kelli the internet manager or Hector in finance. This place must make so much money on the add on's they don't need to provide customer service. This dealership along with all the other VanTuyl dealerships have 1 goal and that is to screw the customer. All it takes is a look at the window sticker: Door edge guards $425 (actual cost around $30), Locking Lugs with Bag $395 (actual cost around $20), Nitrogen Kit $395 (actual cost $0, but seriously, charging for putting nitrogen in the tires?), Tint $495 (actual cost maybe $295). They will tell you that they add that so they have wiggle room. Their finance guys then go on to charge fees that don't apply as well and forget about them explaining anything to you as they don't even know the paperwork they try to get you to sign! I would rather buy a car out of state and pay more money than deal with any dealership with an ownership interest held by the VanTuyl family. read more

Long story short, about five different people, all calling themselves a manager, came by to introduce themselves. I was there for 1 1/2 hours before anyone would talk numbers at all. Went into this Dealership looking for a new truck, keep in mind I don't "need" a new vehicle, it would have been nice to get back to a truck from being in a Jeep. So I was just looking for a good deal, and if I could get one I'd do it. Anyway, went in the the Dealership, talked and negotiated about a truck for about 2 hours and got a final out the door price with a signed paper from the GM. So I told them "awesome, I'll come in tomorrow around 8:30AM to finish up the deal and get it taken care of."(I needed to take my stuff out of my car and remove my personal radio and put the factory one back in) As I'm starting my 1 hour drive to the Dealership, they give me a call and say "sorry there was a miscommunication with our sales desk, we can't do the price we agreed upon." So I asked how much the price has gone up, and they increased the price by $6,000. Then they tried selling me on a brand new truck that was far out of my price range. So if you get a good deal here, make sure to sign everything that day and get it done before they can screw you over, waste you're time, and go back on their word and signature. My price went from $18,041 up to $24,400. If they agree upon a price and give you their word and signature of that price, it means nothing. I've been in sales awhile, if you want to make money, stay in Buisiness, and have return customers. Keep your integrity, be honest, and treat customers like family or friends. It doesn't matter what your place looks like, how big or small the company is, have morals and treat people right and you'll make more money that way. I was going to buy the truck, also my mother is looking for something new as well, so I called her and told her about the deal I got and said she was going to head in and see what they could do for her as well. But now you lost 2 honest customers willing to give you there money, plus anyone else that I know that may be looking for a new vehicle. Oh and I have a vehicle that can private sale for about $11,000 so I wanted to see what they'd offer if I traded it in, and they offered me $3,000. Midway is pushy and after your money. I put more money down on my armada then I did on my house. None of which actually made my sticker cost lower because they push you into buying things saying the limited warranty basically covers nothing. I bought this car- was promised keys and for a month had drama trying to get them. When I finally went to get them- I had put about 500 miles on the car and my service light came on. I brought this up and they offered to do a oil change and check my fluids. When I got the car back- the seat control was broken and in my center counsel. Then within that week I had to use my windshield wipers and fluid which they claimed to have checked during the oil change- which was EMPTY and my light came on at first use. This place is half ass. Highly unethical and possibly illegal!!! What I witnessed and experienced here was disgusting. First, as Midway was wasting my time getting a test drive ready, my wife and I engaged in a conversation with an older lady who had recently purchased a brand new 2018 Nissan Sentra from Midway four months ago and was called in for (re-financing) and was then sold a more expensive brand new Rogue. Her plate on the Sentra hadn't even come in the mail yet!!! She told us she didn't even know why she was getting the new car because she could barely afford the Sentra's payment. She thought she was coming down to sign financing paperwork on the Sentra. Next, in regards to my own experience. I specifically asked the sales manager named Esteb(f)an to not waste my time. I did not want to pay more than $100 more than my current payment. He promised he would be transparent, honest, and not waste my time. While we were considering trading in our 2016 Versa (never missed a payment,only 53k miles) for a 2014 Murano (64.5k miles), we were quite surprised what they started the negotiation with. The trade-in was considerably less than what we were initially shown by the saleswoman Michelle on Edmunds. Plus, we were told on the call to get us to come in we were offered 30% more for our trade-in. The payment was also 3 times higher than what we were paying.($675 from $225) for a vehicle that had been in an accident, was 2 years older, 12k more miles, and had a higher cost for fuel (efficiency 32+mph to 18-23 mph), maintenance, and car insurance. This didn't include us paying nearly $3k down as well. When I got up to leave, the sales manager insulted my intelligence with cheesy sales lines and an extremely condescending tone. He failed to realize that I had a finance background. Between the unethical and possibly illegal behavior that I witnessed and the treatment that my wife and I personally experienced, I will never recommend Midway Nissan to anyone ever. I really should have come to yelp first before bothering to go to this dealership. I live down in Tucson and my wife and I are (still) in the market for a new car. I saw some very good prices for a Nissan Rogue which the dealer had several of so I sent off an email asking about the "e-price." Geena responded to me and gave me an even lower price than what was on the website, imagine my excitement! After several emails explaining that I would be buying the car outright in cash and that we had to travel about an hour and a half just to reach the dealership Geena assured me that they had the vehicle I wanted at that price. So my wife and I take the drive and meet with Jenna, not Geena but that's no big deal Jenna seems nice. We pick out a Rogue do a quick test drive and sit down at her desk. This is when I am told that since we aren't financing, not military, didn't buy a car from Midway before and don't run a homeless shelter that the price listed isn't available anymore. Instead it goes up $6,000. It went from not quite $16,000 to over $22,000. I told Jenna that I will not be paying that. She does the usual "go talk to the manager" dance and he couldn't care less. She brings in another sales person (Chris) who can lower the price to $19,900. I politely asked to have the keys back to the car I was going to trade in and we left. This is nothing but blatant dishonesty on the dealerships part. They knew how I was planning on buying the vehicle and that I wouldn't qualify for their rebates and they new I was coming in from out of town. This was never mentioned until I wasted my time, gas and mileage and drove out there. I emailed Geena again to express my dissatisfaction with the experience but she never responded, that is cowardly in my book. As others have said before these are plainly bait and switch tactics. Don't call them, don't email them don't consider them, they will lie through their teeth just to get you in the door. Edit: I wanted to add that after I posted this review I was contacted personally by one of the managers. He apologized for the poor experience and said that they are always working to improve their customer satisfaction. I was also contacted by a customer service specialist named Aaron who offered to reimburse me for the gas money it cost to drive from Tucson to Phoenix. We ended up test driving a car that we wanted to buy, was approved for car but wanted to explore our options first before the deal was completed. Took our 2016 Rogue in for an oil change (25000). Luis was my service advisor. Had scheduled a 9 a.m. appointment. Got there just right after 9 a.m., parked in the service line. Within minutes of getting out of my vehicle I was approached by someone asking how they could help me. I said I had a 9 a.m. appointment with Luis. This person was Luis, so he introduced himself again, politely shook my hand, and asked what servicing I was there for. Checked me in and explained what would be done. I said I needed to be out of there before 11 a.m. and he said that would be possible since they allotted 1-1/2 hours for the work to be performed. Very personable and knowledgeable and had good customer service. Toward the end of my repair, Luis came to report the technician recommended a new air filter since the air filter was ranging in the "yellow" zone of needing replacement so I authorized that service. RIP OFF ..Service is pathetic , all they want is to rip you off , looks like they have a service quota just like sales quota. I went to this dealer to get discuss over heating issues with my car , they made me sign this paper for diagnosis fee of $140. Later I received a call with a bill of 550 ( to replace radiator Hoses and draining coolant ) , they gave me inspection report with few recommendations after I paid the bill. They fixed overheating problem and messed up by AC , Now they want me to pay $1500 ( earlier report just a day old said nothing wrong with it). Bottom line , do not go to this dealer , they just don't care about your hard earned money. They scare the crap out of you to get their service. Service team: I scheduled an appointment to have a Nissan Leaf issue evaluated with Gianfranco Iacovo, service advisor. Communication from the beginning seemed straightforward and honest. When I arrived the for my service appointment Gianfranco discussed with me what was going on with my Leaf, as well as the previous computer diagnostics done at another Nissan dealership out of state for the same problem, he then discussed this with Midway's Leaf certified technician and came back to me with helpful descriptions of the nature of what was going on with my Leaf and that there weren't any services or further diagnostics the technician would recommend for it at this time. I had been ready to pay them to re-evaluate the out-of-state dealership's work (because that dealership seemed to know very little about Leafs), but Gianfranco gave a helpful explanation of the situation for free when I'm sure they could have come up with a reason to charge me if they wanted to. That kind of honest interaction says positive things about the dealership. So does the fact that they keep their free Nissan Leaf quick charger in good repair (which is a public service to any Leaf driver regardless of where they bought their car - and not something all dealerships do). read more

I was clear and upfront with what I was looking for. I wish I could say the same for this dealership. They dodged my questions, gave me a pathetic low-ball offer for my trade-in, ignored everything I said and attempted 3 times to force their in-house dealership financing on me. It's disgusting. In the span of 60 minutes they tacked on fee after fee (over and above the standard tax, title license and doc fees) which resulted in a 31% increase in price over what was advertised. I had a less than exceptional experience with MIDWAY Nissan. Their website quoted an "Internet Price" but when I actually got to the dealership, they would not honor it because I did not qualify for all the discounts. The website did not have any indication that you had to qualify for anything so when it says MSRP then Discounts and then "Internet Price", one would think that was the price you would pay. The only explanation that I received was that it was not their problem, it was Nissan's problem with verbiage. The girl in finance, Emily, that took my application advised me that I may be able to qualify for 0% financing on the phone. I knew that was not going to be an option for my financial situation and when I questioned that, she proceeded to indicate that it was a possiblity. I was lied to twice at this point. The salesman was young and aarogant and had not an ounce of customer service in him. The only person at the dealership that was remotely respectful was the finance manager, John Rock. He engaged me in conversation and was helpful. Trying to actually reach someone at this dealership on the phone is nearly impossible. You get a snotty receptionist that refuses to transfer you without getting your name and contact information (that they will not use to call you back when they hang up on you). You get transferred to an infinite ringing loop that no one ever picks up. I had to call 5 times to get someone in the finance area to tell me the status of my paperwork. All in all, horrible experience. I will not be returning to them for any of my scheduled maintenance. I will drive down the road to another Nissan dealership for any and all service needs I may have. What an unpleasant experience! We found something we wanted to buy, and had to deal with so many different staff members, many of them very young and don't know much. We ended up being there for almost 7 hours! What's most aggravating is how they try to sneak in fees/charges on the contract without having discussed them beforehand. They get you all tired and worn out by the time the contract is ready, so it's easy to overlook additional items they try to charge for. The "NUMBERS" guy went from the list price just under 5 grand, added taxes and a bunch of other crap and told me that the car listed for 5 grand would now cost me over 7 grand.
