    (SO) Fried Rice

Was recommended to come here with our friends who live nearby and was so happy we came! We did make a reservation- and good thing cause the place was PACKED when we got there which is usually a good sign of great food. We all got hibachi and I splurged for a pinacolada! The rice was an "extra" fee but was worth every penny. We really enjoyed our time here.

What a treasure of a sushi restaurant in Denville ! If you know me I like ambience more than anything . I did a take out because it was early sat pm . Wanted to be home . Worked out well brought the black rice lobster roll and seaweed salad home and enjoyed it immensely ! A dazzling place and now I learned they have happy hour for drinks and special rolls etc. Need to try that on a week day - they played approachable 70s music I would even prefer Asian for full effect but that's me . I will be back !

We went to one of our favorite restaurants in Denville Sogo on Friday night I'll celebrate my grandson's birthday and I gotta tell you from the time we walked in till the time we left we had an amazing time. The food was amazing. 5 Stars service was amazing and the entertainment was great. The kids love going to Sogo. The food is good fresh And this is just a great place to have a family dinner.

    "Traditional" cocktail (my favorite).

Tried Sogo last night after hearing from a trusted friend that it had improved. Staff were much better than previous recent experiences, food quality & quantity were on par with my previous great experiences before things "declined". Prices have increased, but not out of proportion with other places I frequent.

The restaurant was very beautiful but that was probably the only good thing besides our server who was friendly. The food was not good quality for the price and we could tell the cook did not want to be there as he put on his little show. I was hoping for at least good food but the scallops were very fishy and the steak did not taste good either. The quality was not there. The fried rice was tasty and crispy which I enjoyed so thank God for that. The amount of food served was good but because it didn't taste good it was not even worth it. My husband who ordered a veg pad Thai did not receive his food until after everyone else in the party was almost done eating which did not make any sense. There are better hibachi restaurants out there. Overall our experience was okay but I would not return.

It is a good place to have birthday party with friends and the food is tasty with various kinds of drinks, sitting outside by the river is amazing, a few times here each year with friends.

Beautiful restaurant. Their outside seating is gorgeous. I opted for the hibachi. Very fun and delicious meal. Drinks were strong.

Had a great evening with my Meetup Group here last Thursday. Hibachi Chefs here are really great and the Service was top-notch. Cocktails were quite good, and they used fresh ingredients for their fruit based drinks. We were a large group, and each of us ordered different types of Protein for the Hibachi, and everything tasted good. Seafood was a little overcooked, but they still tasted great, and it's bound to differ from Chef to Chef, so no big deal. Wish I had ordered some Sushi and other Menu items but the Hibachi order itself was more than filling, so stopped myself.

Meh. Underwhelmed and under seasoned. Arrived at 4:15 on a Saturday and were sat to a hibachi table. We sat down and spread out throughout the whole table as there were 6 of us. The host told us to move closer together as it is going to get busy. I looked around the restaurant. There was one other table. Again, it was 4:15pm. Ordered, rice is an extra cost. However we were served soup and edamame right away. Nice touch. The waitress came over and took away the 4 other plates for the other patrons who "may" have been sat with us. We then took that as invitation to remove a chair and spread out. Which is what we wanted to do to begin with. Didn't make sense for 6 of us to be squished at one half of the table ‍ I ordered vegetable tempura as an appetizer. It was not good. The vegetables were cut super thick, the batter was super thick. I ate 3 out of the 8 pieces and passed it for everyone else to try. They all agreed we've had better at every other hibachi place ever. The hibachi chef was good. The food however was not seasoned well. It was missing something. I kept dipping my steak in the sauce accompaniment. Portion sizes were very big. The hibachi vegetables were cut super large. When the whole meal was over, we all discussed how it was so-so. Nothing wrong per say, but nothing great either. We had to wait a while for the check. $300 for 6 of us (4 adults, 2 kids). 18% tip automatically added and included. Tried Sogo once, won't be back.

The person who took my order was very nice and you could tell she was passionate about the food she brings to her customers. When I first heard of this restaurant, I was hesitant about the quality of the food, due to the fact that it is multiple Asian cuisines under one roof. However, once I took a bite of my food, my concerns were gone. I ordered the Veggie Ramen (Spicy). Trust me, the spice really brings out the flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked it holds firms on the chopsticks. You have the option to either have your tofu steamed or fried (I chose fried). The black fungus gives a meaty texture to the dish, which works well for any vegetarians missing out. The real star of the dish, in my opinion, is the broth. This is where the flavor really comes from; the savory elements blends with the noodles and the tofu every time you dip your chopsticks. The crunchiness from the corn, scallions, and bamboo shoots balances out the noodles. After this fantastic experience, I have no doubt that I will return to Kazu and relive it all over again!

I was in the mood for Italian food, so we decided to give this place a shot. I called ahead to check availability, and I'm glad I did! We didn't have a reservation, but thankfully the manager let us know that they'd have a table ready for us around 7:20pm (it was roughly 7pm when I called). My husband and I were just down the street, so we decided to go ahead and make our way there. Once we got seated, we were quickly greeted by our server, Mike. He was very attentive and friendly! We later learned that it was his second day on the job, which we found shocking as he did such a great job! As for the food... I'll be honest, I was a bit disappointed. I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana (my favorite Italian dish) and my husband ordered the Risotto Primavera. The Eggplant Parmigiana was not crispy at all, which was super disappointing! It had a great flavor, but I prefer a crispy texture so this didn't really hit the spot for me. It came with linguini noodles with tomato sauce, which was very bland. Whatever sauce they used did not have a great taste to it. As for the Risotto Primavera...it had a RICH flavor to it. My husband said "it's good, but not good enough to order again". I, on the other hand, didn't like it as I thought it was just too rich in taste. The food wasn't the best, but I'm giving them 4 stars because the overall service was fantastic! Everyone was so attentive, helpful and friendly, from the host to our server to the manager. It's rare these days to find a team where everyone is pitching in and happily doing so!
