On this little getaway while staying at the nearby Ramada, we decided to try out one of our favorite meals hibachi! We have been to many hibachis and thought it would be the same everywhere. And boy were we wrong. The staff and service were perfect they were very attentive. We ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi. From other spots I've been to they usually give the clear soup and the salad with the wonderful carrot ginger dressing but for whatever reason this spot only gives soup. As for the hibachi chef he was very dull. Did not keep the table lively at all. Usually we get food thrown in our mouths or a sake stream to keep up with but none of that happened. I will say it was me and my partner and a man and his younger daughter so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it was not exactly appropriate for the child. But otherwise it was just someone cooking in front of us. No show. As for the food it was quite bland. As you can see in the picture the noodles and rice barely have any color. I was expecting some "fry" to my fried rice and noodles. Maybe I am just spoiled by my regular spots.

Ordered hibachi takeout and for the price I did not think the meal was so well worth it. The steak was bland and the chunks were a bit large. The portion size was decent enough. Everything was just meh..next time I think I would go in person.

Hibachi without the show is the way to go if you like all your food on the plate at once. For my daughter in law's birthday, she suggested getting a table instead of grill seating. We were able to talk and enjoy the food. Service was great.

@sakura.nj We were greeted by their friendly staff and the sounding of the gong !! A group of family and friends were in Parsippany, NJ for the weekend and decided to try Sakura for dinner on Friday night. We were excited we did. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Hibachi has always been a fun time because the food is always fresh and the Chef's are masters at their crafts. Which includes culinary and the entertainment arts. Sakura was no exception. We thoroughly enjoyed our Chef's energy, presentations and the food was amazing. I highly recommend trying Sakura when you're in the area! 1. Spring Rolls (Shrimp Tempura Rolls not pictured) 2. Mushroom Soup 3. Garden Salad w/Ginger Dressing 4. Blue Hawaiian, Cosmopolitan and Lemon Drop Martini (warm Sake not pictured) 5. A Beautiful Flame 6. Look how fresh everything is... Shrimp, Salmon, Filet Mignon, Scallops, Lobster Tail, Chicken, Broccoli, Zucchini, Mushroom and Onions. Everything was delightful!! 7. Plateing begins...

The service was great. This is more known for their hibachi but this review is solely about their sushi. Their sushi is really lacking. I was unimpressed. Edamame was fine. The sushi rolls did not taste very fresh in my opinion. The potstickers were good and the chicken skewers were fine. I believe they do hot food better. The potstickers were filled with meat. And the chicken was so juicy on the skewers. The sauce was very light, which was great. The chefs are there to cook and for your entertainment. Noise level was f

Service - TONY DID A WONDERFUL JOB. Please ask for him when you come in and eat. He was very personable and interacted with us the whole time. Food - really good size portions and it was well seasoned. The noodles are really good. Ambiance - the scenery is very intimate and well put together. Don't judge the outside.

Great food and presentation! Prices reasonable for hibachi. I just wish they had a separate lunch menu.

Some nights we love it but nights like tonight, where we ate there, was totally just fine. Grilled calamari was rubber. Gyoza was tasty but not hot enough. Edamame fine. Soba noodles with chicken was very sweet and the steak teriyaki was over-sauced and tough. Assorted sushi was fine but didn't seem overly fresh or prepared with the usual love. Sapporos were cold and delicious. Wine by the glass dreadful. Service was good. Atmosphere is fine - but no real vibe.

Our table of three was immediately seated at a very clean table, and the servers were on top of our every need. Very attentive to refreshing drinks, offering water, and our need for more time to review the offerings on the menu. Food is very good, some of the best sushi I've had in the area and most authentic to what you likely would receive in Japan. The prices are not quite a match to the quality, however. While everything seemed super fresh, i's So expensive. The lobster roll was tremendous, but at $24 it was by far the most expensive piece I've ever ordered. I may do it again if I return, not sure. When dressed up with the rice and caviar, it's hard to taste the actual lobster and you could have placed scallop or cod in there and I may not have known. Drinks - very expensive. Mixed drink is $14 and served in a super-sized shot glass at best. I can easily think of three other great Sushi venues within 10 miles that are BYO and far less for not much less in quality....but I'm glad I tried it. This would be a five star review with more reasonable prices. If their goal is to differentiate and keep the riff-raff out with high prices, they will likely succeed in that. So sorry, I didn't take one photo!! Unlike me...

A friend and I decided to try the all-you-can-eat sushi, and it was one of the best dining values I've found in a long time. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Every dish we ordered tasted fresh and high quality, and honestly, we ended up ordering more than we could finish because everything looked so good. What impressed me even more was the service. We arrived around 4:00 PM and stayed until almost 8:00 PM catching up and enjoying our meal. Spending four hours at a table is not something every restaurant appreciates, but the staff was incredibly patient, welcoming, and never made us feel rushed. They continued to provide excellent service throughout our entire visit. To top it off, we even had dessert, and the total bill for two people was around $80. Considering the amount of food, the quality, the desserts, and the excellent service, I thought it was an incredible value. It's rare these days to find a restaurant that delivers great food, great service, and great value all at the same time, but Miga Sushi absolutely does. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend the all-you-can-eat option to anyone who loves sushi. Highly recommended!

The bad news is they lost points due to making us wait almost an hour for a small order -the staff is very nice but they appeared to be filling a ton of Grubhub orders before us and the place was half empty. It would've been nice if they gave us a free soup or something to apologize for the long wait but c'est lavie. Other issue - the main one- is their prices are astronomical for a hole in the wall joint in Morristown. As high as any of the Manhattan glam spots, i.e. Soho, Madison Ave, Columbus Circle, etc. Where else do you pay $13 for a salmon roll? 90% of places charge around $7-8 per, so you're looking at a very steep bill. Again, the fish is great but be prepared to spend hi end prices for a hole in the wall joint.

In a nutshell, they prioritized catering-size take-out orders over seated customers, and tried to pad the bill after we handed our credit card. We had a 6PM reservation for 2 and we were the only people in the restaurant. We had a 7PM business call scheduled, and being the only seated customers, assumed we were good on time. A table of 3 and table of 2 walked in after we were seated and placed our order. We merely ordered 2 rolls, each and 1 order of salmon sashimi. Our meal took more than 1.25 hours to be served, because the restaurant was pumping out To-Go orders. Not small To-Go orders, but large round catering trays of sushi and specialty rolls! Our meal was served in "dribs & drabs," not all at once as we usually experienced here. One order of sashimi, wait 10 minutes, then one roll, wait 15 mins, then one more roll... still waiting for two more rolls. The rolls were loose... not like we were used to. Something changed at Asahi. After waiting another 25 minutes, we told our waitress that we preferred our entire order served all at once. Her reply was "it's out of my control how it comes out," with a shoulder shrug. We asked for the manager, and complained that Asahi is making its seated customers wait over To-Go orders. The manager said sorry & tried to give us free dessert. We didn't eat it and we told her we were now late for a business call, because it took an hour and a half for 4 rolls and an order of salmon sashimi. To make matters worse, they overcharged us. Our bill was approximately $88. and when the waitress took we card and ran it, the waitress added a $20. speciality roll that we didn't order or have, increasing the bill to $113. The manager had to fix that, which delayed us further. The food and service were great 3 times prior back in 2025, but this experience was so bad, we will never be back.
