Ive come here multiple times already with friends and coworkers and I highly recommend. The space is a bit crowded especially during rushes but I'm always seated in a reasonable amount of time. Their food while some is fishy, has never given me issues and is reasonably priced. The service here is excellent! They're quick to clean empty plates. One time I saw their takeout bags and asked for one although I didnt order takeout and they gave one to me! They're all very kind and I will be coming here even more. read more

It's NOT SAFE to eat here. I'm so torn because they have delicious salmon, amazing price, and very quick service. BUT when I saw a fly in the fish they were using (a big health risk that can carry E. coli, aka can get you so sick it's hospitalized or death) they acted confused, realized what I said and said in Chinese they realized it was a fly (Cheng du), quickly shooed it away. THE SCARY THING is that they continued to serve the fish right after! This is taught not to do that in basic food handling. After they told the chef. I felt sick, because the pieces I had just ate could have been contaminated too. I felt uncomfortable that the whole restraunt was about to get very sick. I saw pieces the fly crawled on under the plastic that they were making into rolls. Even if the food tastes amazing and staff is nice, NO FOOD IS WORTH GETTING SICK. Even if they didn't know of the fly originally, choosing to keep serving the food is dangerous. I still paid but feel so nervous that I could get sick later and didn't tip because it felt so wrong that they were okay with risking the other people in that restraunt's health (I usually leave large tips when eating out). This is the first time I've been to Miga in Denville since they expanded and refurbished the restaurant. I have to say I was honestly a little skeptical going in since my experience with all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in NJ (well everywhere really) hasn't been all that great. Sushi is expensive, and offering all-you-can-eat at a price that won't break the bank usually means the quality is reduced, the menu is limited, certain items are restricted to a single order, or most commonly, the sushi is mostly rice with a little fish. Happily, Miga doesn't do any of this. Frankly, for $30.95 I don't know how they can deliver the quality they do. It's no wonder they're consistently the best reviewed AYCE sushi restaurant in the state. You get two menus, a sushi and sashimi menu and a menu of appetizers, salads and hot foods (like tempura and teriyaki) as well as a few dessert items. I'm not too proud to admit I'm a sucker for a deep fried Oreo. The variety is impressive and all the food we had was very good. We were especially impressed with the quality of the sashimi. Despite the large crowd, our food came out quickly and we were never made to feel rushed. There are a few things to keep in mind though. The restaurant fills up fast, so get there early or make a reservation (something I didn't realize you could do). Also, manage your expectations. This isn't Nobu or Masa. The food is tasty, it's fresh and the experience is fun, but it's still an AYCE sushi restaurant, so you're not going to get high end sushi quality or preparation. I visited Miga Sushi earlier today for dinner with a friend. The service was very fast and the staff was accommodating to all our needs. Neither of us got AYCE because we weren't that hungry. I ordered the vegetable Yaki Udon while my friend ordered sushi. I thought the Yaki Udon was not very special and tasted very bland. I'm not sure if there should have been more sauce added to my dish, but there was very little sauce which caused it to not be as flavorful as I would like. The vegetables also did not add much flavor to the dish as well. Not to mention, some of my noodles were also very cold from the moment I got them. I had to keep stirring my noodles so that the temperature of my noodles was more evened out. While I was eating, I kept wondering why some of the noodles were cold and not hot. It's possible they reheated the noodles once someone orders the dish, but I felt like they could've heated it up longer so that I wasn't served a dish that was half cold. For lunch a few weeks ago, i ordered online for the "pick any 3 rolls" lunch special. I was able to pick any 3 basic sushi rolls and a salad and miso soup were included. I chose the Spicy tuna Roll, Salmon Roll and the shrimp tempura and avocado roll. All of the rolls were fresh and tasted delicious. I also like how there wasn't too much rice in each roll. I've since tried to order the the "pick any 3 rolls" special online but couldn't find it on the menu. This was a really good lunch deal for the price so I hope that it comes back on the menu! I arrived 5 minutes prior to my reservation and saw that there was not an open table for the 6 people I requested. I was told that it would be a few minutes. Approximately 7 minutes passed then I saw a party of 4 sat at a table big enough for the 6 I requested before my party. I'm unsure if they had a reservation as well and were told to wait like I was. After about 20 minutes I told the host that I would like to be taken off the list to which she replied it's only going to be a few more minutes. I left the establishment. I understand that you cannot foresee how long someone is going to take at a certain table but if there wasn't a table readily available for me when I made the reservation I do not understand why they would grant me that time.
