I'm very disappointed with my experience here. I had previously gotten a muffler delete done at this shop a few months ago and was happy with the experience, which is why I decided to come back and trusted them with modifying my exhaust tips. I already bought my own exhaust tips. I only needed the shop to modify/weld them onto my exhaust. Before bringing my car in, I called the shop to ask for a price. They told me to come by so they could look at the car and give me an estimate. When I arrived, one of the employees contacted the boss and explained what I wanted done. I was then told the job would be around $175. The next day, I came in at the time they told me to arrive, around 11 AM. However, they didn't start working on my car until around 12 PM. After looking at the car, they suddenly told me the price would be $300 if I kept the BMW exhaust valves or $400 if I removed the valves, saying that removing the valves would be complicated. I decided to keep the valves because I didn't want to pay extra to remove them. They told me the car would be finished around 1 PM, but it wasn't finished until around 2 PM. What really upset me was the final charge. I was charged $400, even though I was told that keeping the valves would be $300 and removing them would be $400. I understand that prices can change if the work turns out to be more complicated than expected, but the pricing should be clearly explained and agreed upon before the work is completed. Going from an estimated $175, to $300, and then ultimately charging me $400 despite me choosing the $300 option is extremely frustrating. I came back because I trusted this shop based on my previous experience, but unfortunately I left feeling like I was overcharged and that the pricing was not communicated honestly. read more

It is a -owned auto shop. I have gone to Dan for many issues with my cars: oil change, welding for my muffler, engine, etc. He provides good service and is reliable. When you have a trustworthy mechanic, you keep coming back. I am going to be sad when he retires. I recommend this place if you have any mechanic issues. If i could give zero stars i would. The more i think about what these guys did, the more angry i get. I needed new brake pads, new calipers, and new rotors. As soon as i went inside and asked the main guy about these parts he told me "i have to look into it, please wait outside." Well it turns out he was calling around to find the parts i needed either used or rebuilt. And he did... They slapped clearly USED brake calipers on my truck that were covered in rust and paint. AND THEY OVERCHARGED ME FOR EVERYTHING. Ended up costing me $2000. Heres the kicker, when i finally went to pickup my truck it was completely undrivable. The wheels shook so violently and wobbled so significantly that the truck was too dangerous to drive with my family inside. WORST SERVICE IN MY LIFE. The main guy said "oh just give it time for everything to settle in Place. The guy was totally full of shit. Save your money dont come to this place. I wouldnt dare bring my truck back to these guys even for free repairs. Had to replace the faulty parts myself and guess what, zero refund. Do these calipers look brand new to you ? read more

Just so happened that our BMW broke down right on the intersection where the MM shop is located. Joel was the person I asked for help. He took our car in instantly. Diagnosed it the same day and went to work on it immediately. He kept in touch with us via text on the progress. I was a bit nervous being a first time customer and not knowing who we're dealing with but Joel really came through for us. We got the car back in couple of days (big fix), the price was reasonable and he explained everything he did and saved all old parts for us to see. Couldn't be happier, for first time customers, everything went so smooth and I will feel very comfortable bringing the car back to this shop. Just got my Invidia q300 axel back quad exhaust installed here today on my 2014 Lexus 3is. Nice guys, I called in to tell them what I needed, they said bring it on in, I got there in 15 minutes, they immediately put my car on the lift, started working on it, and I was out in about 45 minutes. I was talking with the mechanic (jose) the whole time. Great guy, great service, and reasonable pricing. I called 5 other shops around the area, the prices were comparable, but none of them could take me in, same day. I love that I didn't have to wait and was able to watch them service my car! Wow i am speechless right now after i just left the shop getting my muffler installed. This guy name Jose has no consistency in giving you a quote. He initially quoted me $150 then went all the way down to $100 as i was gonna leave the shop for elsewhere. That means he is desperate for business and i found out why afterwards. After the job is done, He said cash only. He never mentioned that in the beginning and he would rip you off once the job is done obviously when you dont have any choices. This is crazy. It is like getting screwed over in 30mins. I told him i will pay with credit card and he lied and charged me $12 bucks more saying there is tax lol There is NO TAX in labor in California, this guy is total joke and will lie to you to screw you over with no expression of being sorry like psychopath. So he charged me $12.50 for $100 credit card transaction Thats 12.50% in fees!!! This is straight robbing lol and yet he didnt change any emotion while he was charging me like a psychopath i mean seriously!!! Also he did not provide me with a copy of invoice or work order to me. I called him and asked for it and he said dont call here anymore lol what do you mean? You are responsible to provide a receipt of your work order. So I have filed a complaint with bureau of automotive repair against him. Seriously guys i had the exhaust installed for much less and better quality. DO NOT take your car to this psychopath, he will look for every single opportunity to screw you over. These guys totally ripped me off . They lied about the work the supposedly did on my car . This is the exact fear everybody has about an auto mechanic . They charged me $2800 to do some repairs on my car that they diagnosed and said it needed , well after the work was done bye them it still had the same Issue . They totally lied to me said they did what they said they did. Be aware of these guys . I will be taking legal action . So sad to know there's people out there doing this type of stuff . Dan's attention to detail and professionalism fixed my hot rod truck correctly the first time. My old (expensive) exhaust system had 6 leaks that Dan noticed where the previous guy never finished welding up all of the pipes. He saved the mufflers and tips and rebuilt everything correctly. My 2005 BMW 530i had in line fuel leak causing a gas smell going through air vent while driving. Jose at the shop recognized a replacement part needed. He ordered the replacement from BMW dealer which none carry within California so he ordered from Texas. He wanted to have a genuine OEM part so there will not be any issue further down the road. The parts took 4 days for delivery. Total cost was $331 for parts and labor which was reasonable. So far the car has been driving great without distinct fuel odor from the hood. Jose was great and honest. I would not mind coming back again if I need more service for my other vehicles. read more

very bad service. I took my car to be checked for my wheel traction. They told me I needed a new catalytic converter. I paid of 2k , just for now it to have a problem, youd think they be more generous being that Ive spent so much money with them but no. He wouldn't even try to see what was wrong with my car & let me walk all the way home & then called me & said it's nothing they can do because its been over a year. But a catalytic converter should last me over a year. We're are barely in 2022. I got it fixed in the end of 2020. JUST DONT EVEN BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY read more

I was sent here by Monzon's Garage in Fullerton, by the owner's son, who said he has Mighty Muffler do any muffler repairs needed on cars brought to their shop. I have not yet informed Monzon that I feel as though the owner of Mighty Mufflers was selling me a quart of Blinker Fluid, in that while he did excellent work on the portion of my system which could be welded, when it came to the exhaust manifold he quoted me 3x the rate for parts alone, with tax and labor extra. I checked the price at an auto parts store and they told me it would cost a mere $130 and a mobile mechanic said they would charge me $75 to install it, so I felt that I was certainly being gouged at $350. for just the parts. Since the DMV has notified me that I need a STAR smog test this year, I'll be going to Hi Tech Automotive for that and will update this later as required. read more
