Decided to stop by as I wanted to try the new loaded fries that were added to the menu. I went through the drive thru and service was fine. I did have to sit at the window for about 5 minutes, as I assumed that they had to prepare my meal and it is a newer item that I'm sure some employees are still learning how to prepare, so no issues at all there. My issues comes with the amount of food that was provided (which seems to be a very common issue with this location just by looking at the Yelp reviews). The loaded fries were definitely not worth the $15 (after tax) that they charge for them. They were tasty, but the amount of food that you get is pathetic. Maybe at most 30 French fries as you can tell from the photos and the tray was only half full as well. The Alberto's only a few blocks down the street from this location has carne asada fries for the same price and you will have leftovers the next day because they give you that much. I like their food but the service is lukewarm at best, and if you are unlucky enough to have issues with your gift card, the corporate office will have you banging your head against a wall. Your grievance will have to be submitted through an online system and you should not expect to hear back from them. Food is consistently good, hot, fresh. Beans are rich and creamy, rice is light and fluffy. Taquitos and tacos are crispy and juicy. Burritos are filling. Wet burritos give an added zest and minimal spice. Pork chili verde looked more grayish, brown than green (maybe due to me ordering to go vs eating fresh in house). The dish was a tad spicier Ethan expected but still really good. The warm tortilla was a perfect compliment. The horchata coffee sounds, looks, and smells better than it is, but that could just be my tastebuds being confused by the flavor. All workers have been nice, courteous, and respectful. read more

Found long hairs in my food. Actually I was eating and pulled long hair out of my mouth. When I took the food back, I was treated as if I did something wrong. The female cook has no hair net on, & the lead cashiers was condescending as if I was trying to scam a free meal. There have been huge changes here in Corona over the years but one thing hasn't changed and that is the quality of the food and service at Miguel's Jr. I work in the city of Orange and Miguel's Jr. Is just across the street from me so it's very convenient to go there for lunch. There is no variance between the food items at the restaurants in Corona as compared to the restaurants here in Orange county. The quality, the flavor the food and the employees demeanor and actions, everything is the same and it's awesome. To customize your order now we're going to do it to your liking and not a problem. Tonight I had the chicken quesadilla and I had them put lettuce and tomato inside the quesadilla instead of on the side. And it is fantastic it tastes really good. There's two reasons why I do it that way. One is because it flavors juices it up and makes it awesome. And the second reason is that I know it's made fresh and it just hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp until it gets ordered. Went to this location to pick up lunch for coworkers. The girl at the window got our order completely wrong after repeated times of telling her what we wanted. She sounded out off each time I told her. But she still didn't get the order right! Not to mention that fact that I ordered chilie verde and there's not chile verde sauce just the pork! Went inside instantly smelt like sewage. Ordered food for the family. People infront of us waited for their food for over 20 minutes. Once our food was ready we headed to the car. One bag had one meal in it wide open sideways in. On top of that. They put our hot sauce on the very bottom of the bag for it to be crushed. We stayed away for a few years because prices got higher and portions got smaller. But when they started offering a good deal on gift cards a couple of years ago, we couldn't resist. The deal starts on Black Friday (even earlier this year), and if you buy digital cards you get 2 $5 bonus cards for every $25 of gift cards - cannot beat that deal! (Not the same deal if you buy actual cards in the restaurant). That deal brought us back I'm addicted to their refried beans, so the bean & cheese burrito is always my choice. They have a really good enchilada sauce and that just makes the burrito perfect. You can also order with extra beans or extra cheese in the burrito if you are really hungry. Of course, you'll need a side of beans and a side of rice to bring it all together. Cover it all in hot sauce...SO good! Their hot sauce is excellent for adding to your food but it is not good for dipping chips (way too thin), and they don't have salsa or pico de gallo Also since Covid they discontinued their condiment bar - hot sauce, onions & cilantro, jalapenos, and carrots - their carrots were really good. I always get a shredded beef taco and a bean and cheese burrito add guacamole . I actually prefer the drive thru over the sit down restaurant. I recently ordered the pozole and was impressed. . It's hard to find good pozole but even more impossible at a fast food joint. Their salsa is addicting and I literally can't get enough with my order . After walking out of Miguel's at one of their other locations due to a horrible oder we waited a long time to return to any of their establishments. This is the original location, but must of just been redone, very nice and super clean. Huge salsa bar, always a plus, as well as some of the best service ever and the only reason I am even giving 3 stars. That and a mean military discount which justified the price much more. The food itself, so far from authentic, I have to say pretty much anywhere else is better than Miguel's, even Taco Bell. I had the taco salad, very generic, my husband the garbage and the original burrito, my son taquitos, all very bland. I'm so obsessed with Miguel's Jr that it's not even funny. I come at least two times a week. Beware that the drive-thru is always packed!! Unlike other fast-cheap Mexican places, you can actually tell that Miguel's is clean, which is always a plus. I'm not a huge fan of meat, so I always get the veggie burrito. So good, so cheap, always hits the spot. The bean and cheese burrito or their tacos are great too. Though, other reviewers are right, for what it is, some of their menu items are a tad bit too expensive. Barely any beans on the bottom, 2 chunks of the verde which was flavorless, tons of lettuce and a sprinkle of cheese that was grated so fine you couldn't taste it. Think they forgot how to roll a burrito. The Relleno burrito was cold and the bottom busted open. Carne Asada tacos were chewy and cold. Combination plate with cheese enchilada and a relleno was cold. Don't think they put cheese inside the folded tortilla of the enchilada only on the top. Lastly, not even the hot sauce is good anymore. Flavorless. Workers were nice. Won't be going back anytime soon. read more

The receipt even said chicken. I was also charged more and was not given the special for two for $7. There were no dressings for the pozole either. When I'm in Corona visiting family, I stock up on the brc burritos and freeze them. The new packaging with foil wrap is terrible! sad to post this, i've lived in corona since 1977 & have always loved Miguels. The quality has deteriorated and the prices have gone up. The last 3 times the burritos have been increasingly smaller and with a super small quantity of meat (I mean like 3 small pieces for the entire thing!) & sloppy presentation. It's like the burrito is a folded over tortilla rather than rolled, I suspect to hide the lack of filling. It's like they have no concept of how to roll up a tortilla. We've voiced our complaints, they obviously don't care, so we will never eat here again, and we'll be sure to tell everyone we know to stop supporting them. Where do I begin? For years Miguel's held a special gracious place in my heart. From quick stops between work shifts to dinner dates; Miguel was always there for me offering me a warm burrito to indulge in. But this last year Miguel changed, I don't recognize them anymore. Love the food, but have had a very disappointing experience at the drive thru over the last couple of years, with the person taking our order, not understanding us, and not able to communicate to us what she doesn't understand. Our drive thru orders were wrong EVERY time, not once in awhile. However, after a few weeks we decided to give it another try. WOW! What a pleasing and stress free experience. I've eaten so many burritos from this place, I swear my blood type is beans! Corona natives and visitors alike can attest for how delicious Miguel's Jrs bean burrito are. Those silky beans and gooey cheese, in the soft floury tortilla with the signature red or green hot sauce makes this a staple in my house. I grew up on the bean, rice, and cheese burritos (BRC) and I will continue to frequent my home town favorite. Not only are the burritos Delicious, but you won't find another taco like Miguel's tacos. They taste like they came straight from abuelas kitchen. Garbage burritos, tamales, churros, horchata, you craving it. Miguel's has it. And boy is is good! It's no wonder that this family was able to market such a great business. Once upon a time you had to visit Corona or Norco to get your hands on this stuff, but Miguel's has grown tremendously in the past 7 years. You're welcome OC!
