Solid 4 stars. Staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is tasty. There's plenty of parking. Prices are reasonable. My husband ordered some kind of chicken burrito and loved it. I ordered regular sized nachos and added carne asada. It was very tasty. But it felt like they were a bit too conservative with most of the ingredients. I got plenty of chips and salsa. But very little cheese, beans, or meat. To drink we tried the Jamaica and Piña Colada. It tasted amazing! It's a cute place. Bigger than I expected when I walked in. They have high booths. Pros- chips and salsa bar, drink selections, some menu items are reasonably priced. Cons- food is a hit or miss, doesn't really hit the spot, bill can be high for only 2-3 people to eat. This is a place you come to when everything else is too busy or too far. read more

On the weekend went to go have lunch was craving fajitas had them there before. We ordered and got our food but noticed that the vegetables seemed raw so I tasted them and also no flavor. Very different than other occasions. I asked the waitress for them to cook the vegetables and add some seasoning because they are bland. She came back and said they don't season them. But they would do it this time. She brought the plate back but with out beans and the rice that the original plate had. So waited about five minutes for her to bring them back. Very bad experience. Excellent food! Service could not have been better as we had two or three staff check in on us! Ambiance is outdoor patio style indoors. The natural slate stone tiles and wicker canopies at each booth are a nice texture. We really love to eat here and sometimes bring out-of-towners who want great authentic Mexican cuisine. Coming from the Midwest where Mexican food was mediocre at best (it may have improved by now), the food really impressed me. Shredded beef tacos, burritos, salsa bar, and endless tortilla chips? Yes, please! Over the years, I marked some changes in the food and recipes. Nevertheless, Jose's is a good spot for lunch or dinner with the family. This location on Pigeon Pass and Ironwood has a similar layout to the Redlands store, but it's easily 3x larger in terms of where diners can sit, including a covered patio. My crunchy tacos were very good, not as crunchy as I remembered, but still, well executed. I especially liked the Mexican rice and the beans. I didn't go to town on the chips and salsa, but left feeling like it was a good value for the quantity and quality. read more

A good, local place in Moreno Valley for a fast-casual meal. You order from a counter and there are some coolers nearby where you can pick from a decent selection of beers (don't recall if I saw any wines). A server then brings your food to the table. You have to get your own utensils, condiments, chips and salsa, etc... This isn't my favorite way to dine, but we wanted brunch on a Saturday in MoVal and every diner was absolutely packed. We had heard that Jose's does offer breakfast/brunch, so we ended up here. The lunch/dinner offerings are pretty standard Mexican fare. Brunch offerings included an impressive-looking French toast that swayed one of my friends. It was as good as at any diner. My breakfast scrambler with bacon, eggs and cheese was similarly good. Everyone's food was fine. Nothing special but definitely not bad. If there was no place else available for a casual meal, I'd come back to Jose's. I do prefer wait service and being able to get a freshly made Margarita or Bloody Mary with my meal, and I did think that the restaurant seemed to be not particularly clean. Our table felt sticky, some tables were sitting un-bussed for long periods of time and the salsa/condiment area was a bit of a disaster. But you could definitely do worse for a quick, inexpensive meal. read more

Sorry but this place is way too expensive. $11.39 for a kids plate?? That's crazy! Literally every other restaurant has kids plates for around $6-$9. For my family of 4 we spent $58! The food here is average, not worth the price. I used to come here like every week when they had the kids eat free Wednesdays. read more

@josesmexicanfood killed it today. After watching Cry Macho with Clint Eastwood I was craving Mexican food and José's delivered. I had the lingua and carne asada street tacos prepared Mexico city style-with cabbage, chipotle crema and cilantro, the shrimp enchiladas and fajitas with steak, chicken,  and shrimp. The street tacos were full of meat and the lingua was especially tasty. I felt it was cooked perfectly. I've had it at other places and it was a bit chewy and/or slimy and this was not the case at all. It was great. The green sauce on my shrimp enchiladas was good and there were plenty of shrimp inside. The portions were so big, I could only finish one enchilada! The fajitas were fabulous. The chicken was moist, hot and seasoned to perfection and the steak was so tender. It's hard to say which was better. The shrimp was plump and succulent too! Excellent fajitas all around. Have never been to a Jose's before & let me just say this will NOT be the last time either! I love that they have unlimited chips, salsa as well as the aguas frescas. Let me also add in that you can't beat that they have deals Monday-Sunday! The customer service was great we ordered & sat down they brought our food to our table & the food was absolutely amazing! The overall value of the food was good. I had the asada and carnitas tacos, definitely the carnitas tasted better of the two. Ordering is done at the front counter and they bring the food out to you. There is a self-served salsa bar which is very convenient with multiple options to choose from and the chips are self-served as well. The fountain drinks, ice teas, and coffee is also self-served. The restroom was a little dirty, but maybe they just didn't clean that day. The staff did take the time to check on tables, which was appreciated. read more

Ok, went to Jose's for brunch today, about 12:30. Started out ok, lots of choices, and a pretty awesome menu. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. Food came out about 10 minutes later. The server told me she would be right back with the tortillas. She never came back, and when I found her after eating the food, she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. No apology, no I'm sorry, let me get them for you, and no taking them off my bill. So, here's my review: 3 stars for the food. (It's just ok) 1 star for the service. 2 stars total average. BEST green salsa in moreno valley so far! I am a salsa girlie and their salsa bar is FIRE. 3 red salsas 3 green and all delicious! Plus tons of veggies and toppings! The chunky green is the perfect level spicy and I always fill up on that before I can even get to my food. Shrimp cocktail is delicious and fresh. Big burritos and good kids menu. This was such a wonderful place with great staff! It was my boyfriend and I's first time here and they walked us through the (very confusing) menu and helped us figure out what to eat for dinner! I got the three item plate with enchiladas and tacos. My boyfriend got their shrimp tacos and wow, they were so good and had this amazing avocado like sauce on it! When we finished eating, the cashier came up to us to make sure that everything worked out okay and asked if we would like more chips and salsa and of course we obliged!
