That was some pretty terrible food. I don't understand how this place gets enough business to stay open. The rolled tacos were skinny little bland toothpicks and the menu said it came with beans and rice. I didn't get any beans or rice. The fish tacos were just plain nasty. It tasted like they used some cheap frozen fried fish from a dollar store. Either that or the fish was old because that was stinky off-putting fish. I took one bite and tossed those in the trash. They ask you if you want onions on your enchiladas and charge you $.95 for a sprinkle of onions. I can go buy a whole onion for 95 cents. If I wanted an egg on my enchiladas, it's only 50 cents, and that's during this time when eggs are a hot commodity and $9/dozen and everyone is up charging on eggs, but onions, really? Food is so fresh and delicious. I had the gorditas and the hubby had huevos rancheros. I can't do too spicy and the red salsa was flavorful and not too hot. Worst taquitos we've ever tasted! Ordered the potato rolled tacos and came with canned nacho cheese on them. The rolled beef taquitos were thin and hard with no meat. And the rest of the items we ordered were very mediocre. Agua Frescas were good and I like they gave you samples at the drive through. Served with a side of bolillo toast. Fresh tostadas with sides of tomatillo salsa, original salsa, pico de gallon, and chile del arbol.Hammy loves his big bean and cheese burrito! Nice little place in Las Cruces that was recommended by the staff @ Celebrate on Telshor. My brother and i got there 15 mins before closing and expected them to be hesitant to service us as we were so close to closing. Instead, they told us to order whatever we wanted. So we did. I had the shrimp cocktail and the pork tacos with the green sauce. My brother had the brisket tacos with green sauce. All three items were excellent and the green sauce had the perfect heat to it. We did find the potatoes in the brisket as noted in other reviews, but we did not find them to be too many or take away from the flavor. Overall, the staff was helpful, friendly and the food was great. read more

This is the place. Red enchiladas are so simple and delicious. The rellenos are perfect. Here's the big surprise, though: the waffle chicken nuggets. It comes with french fries and syrup. We came in for the all you can eat menudo (only on weekends). Our server was so kind and enthusiastic. The chips and salsa are not complimentary but we couldn't help ourselves looking at the fresh salsa bar; so we order some fresh and warm tortilla chips to try the salsas. There's about 6 different flavors alongside chopped onion, jalapeños, sour cream, and limes. They were all delicious. This is a small restaurant with beautiful decorations and homey feel. The menudo came out nice and hot served with toasted bolillo bread ( my favorite part). The menudo wasn't too spicy but was very tasty. I usually only visit for the brisket burritos (which are sooo soo good) but I'm glad I tried the menudo. The only con I can say about this restaurant is their drive thru. It takes longer than expected and you end up sitting there for quite a while. If you plan to eat here, make sure to dine in or take your order to go. I recommend the green Chile brisket burrito and their delicious homemade melón Agua Fresca! Very delicious! read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant; it's one of the better-decorated Mexican restaurants in town, with cheery striped tablecloths and yellow walls. But a pleasant atmosphere can't make up for food that is served at unsafe temperatures. I ordered what was supposed to be a brisket plate. It was a regular-sized plate, contained 1/3 beans, 1/3 really bad spanish rice, and 1/3 some weird gloppy mixture of tiny bits of brisket interspersed with a lot of diced potato. It was as though meat were so expensive that the restaurant had decided to stretch the "brisket" by adding more potato than brisket! Even worse, EVERYTHING on the plate was room-temperature, suggesting that whoever works there needs some retraining on food safety. My son liked his ground-beef burrito, but I won't be going to Miguel's again. And I actually think the health inspector needs to pay a visit. read more

I paid 3.49 for a tiny burrito. Keep in mind, Miguel's is surrounded by other places that serve burritos. For 3.49 or say, a quarter more, I could get a delicious burrito the size of my arm at another place, mere seconds away. (Go Burger and Si Senor Express come to mind). What I did get was brisket in a day-glo red grease, lukewarm and hemorrhaging all over the upholstery. The brisket itself wasn't bad. The red sauce tasted mostly of grease, and coated the mouth in a most unpleasant way. There were odd, rubbery little bits of potato in the burrito as well, but they didn't add much except a change of texture. I'm willing to write this off as an off day, but a couple of my coworkers had similar experiences and the size of the burrito in proportion to the price makes me wary to give Miguel's another chance. They're open 24/7 and across from the bowling alley and the bar. With a set up like that, they could do really well, but I don't see how if my experience, and that of my coworkers is the standard rather than the exception. While we were getting a flat tire repaired across the street at Martin Tire, we decided to walk over to Miguel's for lunch. My wife had the soft tacos with ground beef and I had the gorditas with ground beef. Both of us had refried beans as our side. Both of our meals were good but not as good as a couple of other Mexican Restaurants in town. They have a small salsa bar to get salsas, onions, sour cream, etc. to accompany you meal and/or chips. I have had great meals here in the past and they sure did deliver on that again. My main thing I like from here is their Chile Relleno burrito and it was fantastic. This is not always the case in other restaurants because the Chile season doesn't start until late August. But Miguel's continues to deliver. I tried to use a 10% coupon from Yelp. For some reason they didn't honor it. However, they offered me a free desert to take it's place. I got a Flan and it was fantastic. Miguel's has earned my loyalty. read more

At 9pm on a Saturday night, practically everywhere else in town was closed and we wanted some Mexican for a quick stay overnight in Las Cruces. Miguel's stepped up to the plate and we got a chile relleno plate and green chile chicken enchiladas plate. The enchiladas were yummy with the green chile sauce, but I wouldn't recommend the chile relleno. The batter on it was too soggy for my liking, and the sauce provided for accompaniment was forgettable. Rice and beans were okay, but I've had better. Given the time of night we ordered our food, I think you'd better decide to eat dinner a bit earlier and explore your other options in town? Very meaty, hearty green chile pork burrito. They offer both 'basted pork' (?) and chicken. The pork burrito was nothing but huge chunks of extremely flavorful, tender pork, not very saucy but with the perfect amount of heat. Tingly lips, lingering flavor, left me wishing for more. Because I just ordered from the drive-through, I can't speak to anything else about the place. But the staff were very smiley and friendly despite working on a holiday weekend. Thumbs up! read more

The quest to try all the Mexican food in Las Cruces continues. Miguel's is a nice little "pop in" sort of shop, the kind of place you go for a quick burrito or taco. And in this respect, it does fairly well. I stopped in for a bite a few days ago and ended up getting their rolled taco plate. The tacos were good, shredded beef instead of ground, which I always appreciate. The rice and beans totally lacked flavor though. Thankfully the salsa was flavorful enough to give them some punch. The price was reasonable, but a little on the high side for this kind of food. But then again, I am utterly spoiled by Chile Pepper back in Yuma. Nothing I've found around here comes close to that standard... yet. That said, if you're in the neighborhood you can certainly do worse than Miguel's, but in that neighborhood you can do a lot better too. read more

Miguel's is more like fast food unlike an authentic Mexican restaurant. The chips and water were excellent and the staff was friendly but they do not come to check on you like a restaurant. The enchiladas were extremely bland with hardly any meat inside (chicken or beef) and the sauce tasted like it came from a can. The tacos were decent but not great. Being gluten free is hard in las cruces. Especially mexican food. Miguel's has made their menu easy to choose and has labels their gluten free options. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious. The salsa is fantastic. Roberts up the road is not even close to being as friendly as the workers at Miguel's and Roberts does not label Their menu with gluten free options.
