To begin, I bought this car brand new at Toyota of Elgin, but every time I go in for a simple…read moreservice, they give me a dozen things it does not need and make it imperative that I have them done asap plus do not check for what I want done. And, the service check takes forever (think 2 hours on a Saturday): 1. New tires (I went elsewhere for half the price, but that place told me i had at least another year on the old ones, so I was switching them out early) $2500 at Toyota ($1130 for four locally, better brand, original equipment). 2. Brakes: they did not check them even though they said they would. Instead tried to sell me a front caliper cleaning $117, rear caliper $117 nope. What I did need was the supposedly free brake check that they "forgot" to do. At local shop, told I have 80% wear left. Free check. 3. Rodent Deterrent -$303 nope don't need that. I use bait boxes in garage. 4. A/C Heater Cleaning $205 nope, don't need that 5. Fuel Induction Clean $299 nope, don't need that 6. Wheel Alignment $159 nope, don't need that 7. PCV Valve Replacement $142 huh? 8. Brake Fluid Exchange $267 yes, local shop said I could use that but they charge $140 9. New rim (it's a large scratch, who cares) $994 So, I came in for a brake check that they forgot to do, windshield wipers, and a tire check, and they wanted to charge me $4143, but I got out for $77 for the wipers and what they termed a "basic car check" that does not include checking brake pads. Who can afford this larceny? And, how can a "basic car check" not include the size of the brake pad remaining? My car has 35K miles on it now (it had 33467 at the time of the Toyota basic car heck). Guess where I'm not going back to today, now that my car keeps saying I need the oil changed? And, how do I need the oil changed when it's only been 2000 miles. I'm guessing that's because it's been 6 months. So okay, that's fine, I had it done locally for $95.00 and $38 to rotate my almost brand new tires. At least Pinnacle will do the brake check for FREE. Note that terribly damaged (not) rim in the photo on back tire. If you buy a Toyota, do not have it serviced at Toyota of Naperville, unless you like throwing cash out the window.

They were quick to assess the damage done and take pictures in order to document all that was wrong. When the owner of the other shop refused to take responsibility for the damages, Christian Brothers Automotive helped me to reach out to the owner and even offered for the other shop owner to view my car under their watchful eye! When that did not work and I was still deciding how to move forward, Christian Brothers Automotive offered to keep my car at their shop and every single night they locked the car inside their shop to ensure its safety. They continued to check in on my progress with no pressure to make any decisions and also continued to offer advice and assistance. This was above and beyond anything I expected. After my car sitting at Christian Brothers Automotive for 3 entire weeks, I finally made some progress with being able to figure out how to get the owner of the old shop to take some responsibility. While the matter is still being figured out, Christian Brothers Automotive fixed my car and even checked in a week later to ensure I was happy with the car and that it was running well. I have nothing but positive feedback for this amazing company and fantastic location! The location owner Paul clearly cares about maintaining an honest business in which individuals feel they are able to learn about what is going on with their cars and make informed decisions. They wanted to flush and seal and replace other item that was not requested and very much not necessary. I denied . Asked if my suspension was OK for upcoming trip. Got home there was no coolant in my reservoir !!! I would have driven around, thinking my car had extra fluid in the reservoir and did not. I put in a half a gallon of coolant that I happen to have at the house. Not to mention, I paid for two jugs of coolant. They did not mention the previous quote for work that I needed done on my engine at all. Everything else was fine, so they said. The courtesy ride was not offered with me until after I dropped my car off, and that was if they had time. This was my fourth time at this shop and I was really happy with them and how thorough they checked out my car. This time I felt like it was under a different management and the care previously was no longer. I put my faith and trust in your shop. While in another state visiting, I took my car to my brother, who is a licensed mechanic, and found two engine gasket leaks, and some issues with my suspension.

When we got to store the Sales Manager, Tom Julian, was also very helpful and made the buying experience memorable for my son. He was very cordial and I know we got a very good deal on the car. Over the decades of buying cars, this was by far the best interaction we have had with a dealership. But you don' t know till you get in and drive around for a bit. They delivered the car to the BNSF Metra station of my choice, and when I called John H and told him I fell in love with a used Infiniti (almost by accident, just stopping into another dealer to kick the tires--but the heart wants what it wants) they came to get the car where I was - at my sister's, about 1/2 hour from Oswego. This, after I used their car for almost 2 days. And I am almost ashamed to say, the last morning of which I shopped for other cars. If I was a Ford man, I would make a beeline to Riverview Ford.
