I purchased a GE washer from Mike's Appliances in Pinole. I do not recall ever having experienced worse customer service. First off, the delivery personnel did not confirm that the washer was working when they installed it at a cost of $125 and had to return to uncrimp the hoses in the back. The washer developed serious issues loudly clunking, wobbling, moving on the floor, even moving the dryer over, and twisting everything tightly around the agitator. Mike's replaced some balancing parts which did not fix the issues. I sent detailed email with pictures of twisted sheets and duvet covers to them. Mike came out, did not touch the washer, made no attempt to determine what was wrong with it or repair it but took it away leaving me without a washer. He emphatically stated he would not bring me a replacement machine under the warranty and left me scrambling to buy another elsewhere which I did. He refunded purchase price plus tax but charged me 3% credit card fee for the return as if I had changed my mind on the purchase. I was left with $155 out of pocket for delivery and credit card fee for the privilege of doing business with Mike's. A most unpleasant experience. I repurchased the same make and model, btw, which works flawlessly. read more

Called them and said they were running late. It would've been nice to be let known considering that I took time off of work for the delivery. I had my GE fridge go out on a SundayThat Monday my landlord contacted them for a new one and they delivered that Tuesday however I didn't like his choice. I'm picky about products that I heavily use and can be a little difficult & specific when it comes to things I want. I offered to pay the difference and with my landlord's permission I got to choose the one I wanted. The delivery guys were very understanding, the girls at the desk were patient, professional and worked with me on the details of the fridge. I when to Mike's when they were on Appian Way. They had good name brands washer & dryers. They also had kitchen appliances too! Now that they moved to San Pablo Ave they have much more choices. My wife went to Mike's to purchase a washing machine. We like to support local businesses but when she walked in she wasn't greeted by the three employees behind the desk nor was she offered assistance. She found a machine that we also seen at Home depot and Lowe's but it was $50 more. They didn't want to price match and there delivery fees and haul away fees are ridiculously expensive. We literally live down the street and they charge$89 to deliver and$50 to haul away Don't support this business they are rude,unhelpful and super expensive. My frij was giving out, and Mike's Appliances was called. Robyn was helpful in ensuring I got the right frij for the necessary, but kinda' cramped, placement space in my cottage. She offered a date and time that I could adjust my schedule for easily. Orion and Robert arrived on time and took the old frij out thru a kinda' tight passageway, without chipping the door frame, etc. The same is true for how they got the new frij in. Da Issue: After a short chat they DO IN FACT repair stuff as well new installations - even things they didn't sell ya. Not everything, but my Kenmore happened to be a Whirlpool re-brand and they were happy to schedule & come out. Two techs arrive 2 days later and have the diagnosis LITERALLY in my hands in about 20 minutes (see pics). Apparently a self-inflicted wound, a little scrunchie made it all the way to the pump and seized it up. I will get A LOT of mileage teasing my girls about who took down our washing machine... neither the wife nor the daughter have copped to it yet! It took more time waiting for the machine to run through a couple of test cycles than the repair itself, the techs know what they are doing. Was in need of a new wall mounted oven as my old one broke down. I contacted Mike's for a new oven as well as a new induction stove top. The entire process from purchase, measurement and installation was smooth and pleasant. The initial installation of the oven ended up obstructing some of the drawers in my kitchen, Mike came out personally to look at it and worked hard on finding a solution for us. In the end we went with a slightly smaller oven and Mike's team also provided trims to cover the gaps. We had our GE washing machine that is not even five years old suddenly stop draining water mid-wash. We were able to get a service appointment very quickly from Mike's and Albert came out and diagnosed the issue. we waited a couple of days for our part to arrive and Albert showed up and installed, but we realized that the washer was having more problems and would need a bigger fix, Albert made sure we were not overcharged for the first part and gave us a break since the initial service did not resolve the problem. We ended up replacing the entire control panel on the second service call. Unfortunately, our washer was continuing to malfunction. I can't say enough good things about Albert, who was responsive to my questions and helped me troubleshoot the issue. Albert figured out what we needed to get the washer working, he had the part ordered and Albert arrived one day early to install because he knew what issues we were having being without the washing machine . They are simply the best group of folks to work with. They know appliances like Michael Jordan knows basketball. Here's the thing...they also service what they sell. Better yet, they pretty much service anything whether they sold it or not. I've had two separate appliances serviced and repaired by Albert from Mike's appliances. They're now as good as new. They also will install your new appliance. I purchased a double wall oven to replace the original from the 60's and the cabinet was a little tricky...but not for them. Beware they are RUDE! I had made an appointment and when I made this appointment, for a repair. I mentioned that my dryer was making noise and if someone can come and take a look. It's a lil pricey to come out for my liking but I agreed. I asked the lady if I got it working before hand would I just call back and let them know. She said yes just call and let us know. Well over the weekend, I ended up getting a used one in good shape from a friend. I called in to cancel the appointment. I mentioned I got another one and no longer need the appointment, I barely finished my statement and was already hung up on. I'm upset and usually feel this place (I've been a customer many times) is ok, but most of who works there need additude adjustment. Customer service is important and your additude is important too. Wanted to share a great experience with Mike's Appliances Repair service. I called several repair places to try and schedule a repair of my Dryer, which is a stacked unit. I kept getting no for various reasons (don't do stacked units, need two people to pull it out and don't have two repair people available, etc.). My unit sits in a cupboard with very little extra space. Kathy asked me to send photos of the unit and it's location so she could assess what was possible (one person or two). The repair person (Richard) came out and determined the problem and ordered the part. We scheduled the repair for Tuesday 12/6/22. The Friday before (12/2/22), Kathy called me and asked if I would like to have the repair done on Saturday (12/3/22) and scheduled the earlier date! My dryer is now repaired and I am a very happy customer! read more

Buyer's beware! If your appliance is too old, do not bother to call them. They charged a minimum of $ 179.50 for a visit. I could do better by telling myself not to repair an old appliance instead of a technician coming in to take a few pictures and tell me it is beyond repair. read more

My wife and I called to get my Frigidaire Dishwasher working again. It was filling up with water and not draining. It had an error code that disclosed the problem. Albert came at the promised time and was well prepared with all his tools and wet vacuum, however our factory kick plate was non-traditional and difficult to remove ( in order to pull out the dishwasher). Albert sorted it out with no problem. He figured out the part which was the likely cause of the water collection, and removed it from the drainage line. He thought it had gotten clogged up. He cleaned it out and tested the dishwasher and it worked fine. He explained that if it happens again, we should replace it and get a new part. We have 30 days warranty for the work in case that should happen. Albert was easy to communicate with about the repair, and has a pleasant personality.
