It's hard to find a repair service that a) services older Viking equipment, 2) is willing to do all the follow up. Bill came out in 2022 to work on our range, a part was backordered and took 9mo to arrive! He called to provide an update (a few more months) and finally when the part showed up he scheduled it for installation right away! I have a portable 18in. Danby Dishwasher. Almost nobody will come out and service a Danby. Calling around to appliance repair shops when something goes wrong is generally a terribly disappointing experience. I was so fortunate to get a referral to Am Pm (by someone who wouldn't service my dishwasher). The technician came out in the time window he had indicated, was personable, efficient, and best of all, he figured out what was wrong with my dishwasher and fixed it right away!!! I called Bill at AM/PM about fixing my side-by-side Amana refrigerator of at least 20 years vintage. It had gradually failed to cool the refrigerator side, but the freezer was working fine. I had called the manufcaturer and they referred me to their "authorized factory service dealers" in this area, but those service companies had marginal reviews on yelp and AM/PM had great ones. Now I know why. Bill took the time to troubleshoot the problem as best he could over the phone, and gave me a few things to try and then we set up an appointment. he came exactly at the time he said he would, and worked on it about 45 minutes, replaced a minor part, and told me he wasn't sure if this was part the problem, but check the frost build up on the freezer side over the next week (frost build up in the freezer vent that conducted cold air to the refrigerator was why the refrigerator side was loosing its ability to cool,) and if it builds back up, call him and he will order another part that is a bit more expensive, but should solve the problem. The frost build back up in a few days, and I called Bill. He ordered the part, and then called me and said when it would be in and then made an appointment to install it,. He came when he said he would, put the part in, and only charged me for the part - not the service call. His prices were fair, and he is extremely knowledgeable and works quickly. He even diagnosed a problem that i was having with an electric hot water heater in about ten minutes! I would highly recommend AM/PM for any appliance repair work after this experience. read more

Our dryer was not drying so our Home Protection Plan set up an appointment for an assessment. AM PM Appliance from Beaumont, CA came and stated we needed a new part. 2 weeks later the vendor changed the part and stated it was working. We immediately dryed some clothes and they did not dry! Obviously it was not fixed. The vendor refused to come back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AM PM Appliance Center in Beaumont, California. This vendor was rude and very unprofessional. read more

Had them come out to see why our water dispenser in the fridge wasn't working. They were the company our home warranty company sent to us. This guy came in,took a quick look and said we needed a new water filter and left. He wasn't even here 15 minutes! We told him that the filter was replaced just 2 weeks before, all he said was that should work. We replaced the filter again and it didn't work. Called the warranty company back and complained. Had the guy come back a week later because he had to order a new pump! Again in and out. No explanation, nothing! Fantastic Service: The oven of my relatively new NXR range was turning itself on all the time. I'd walk in the kitchen and hear the pilot light startup, or notice that the oven light was on, even though the knob was in the "off" position. Replacing it was a problem, I thought, because the previous owner had built the kitchen hardwood floor up to the dishwasher, making it difficult to remove. I felt I had no choice but to repair the old. Although that repair would have been over $400 Bill from an-pm told me to not do it. The word is FRAUD and the names are JASON & TONY. Jason said he was the GM and Tony was the tech. They came to fix our stove-top range, and when they left we noticed the oven wasn't working and quoted us $219 for parts/labor and told us it was simply a coincidence. It got stranger when we were told it was the same part needed again. When we asked for a discount they changed their story and said normally it would be $289 but because of the issue they would discount it to $219, the price they originally quoted. This was the 2nd lie they told. When we asked how that could be Jason threatened to remove the previous part they supposedly installed leaving us with no working stove or oven if we didn't move forward. My theory: They took the part from the oven and put it into the stove and charged us for a new part then tried to charge us to do the same work again. I believe Jason and Tony are running this scam together, hopefully without knowledge of the owners, but we can't be sure. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or owner Jason told me he couldn't give me the number to them and they weren't available to talk to me. Other problems along the way: When they first came out to diagnose the stove (the original problem) they said they needed to order the part. We gave them a credit card to pay for the part and received a receipt showing it was paid for. 4 weeks went by and we didn't hear from them. After a dozen or so voicemails Jason called us back and said we had refused to pay for the part so the job was cancelled. When we played the voicemail from one of their administrators stating the part had in fact been approved and paid for he said someone else made a mistake and he'd get someone out to install the part right away. Another 3 weeks later and several voicemails he again apologized, blamed his admin department and got someone out. That bring us up to date. Poor organization and a running scam by the GM. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I was referred to this place by a neighbor on Nextdoor. I several times. A woman picks up the phone and says something unintelligible and hangs up. Finally, after a few attempts, a man answered, with a simple "hello?", no mention of the business. I said I'm looking for Bill from Am-PM Appliance Service. He said "that's me, what do you want?", which I thought is an odd (and rude) way to answer a business phoneline. I bought a new Bertazzoni stove and was having problems, so Bill was referred by someone in the appliance business. Bill called and told me he was available earlier than our scheduled appointment time, so I was very happy to have him drop by then. He checked everything out and didn't find any issues, but did explain why certain things were occurring that were normal, such as the cooling fan coming on and then staying on even after I shut the oven off. Color me impressed - and relieved! Our washer stopped draining suddenly - on a Saturday afternoon. Great. After calling 9 places, Bill was the only person to answer. He ran me through some tests with the washer over the phone and then said "let me grab a few things and come right over." Really? Right now. Now. He had the washer fixed in 10 minutes, and fixed another issue we'd had forever that had just bugged me. He was super nice, explained the issue well and charged a very, very reasonable rate. Buyers beware - this place charges $90 to come out. Through Dr. Appliance, I obtained their number. We set up an appointment for a technician to come in Wednesday between 2 to 4. There was no mention of a service charge. I talked to the technician the day before and he mentioned that the appointment would be his last appointment and that it would be towards the end of the day, like 330. The technician never mentioned a service charge. On that day, he called at around 230 and said he did not have the parts and he also recommended replacing the dishwasher. Even if he orders the parts, it will be over $200. Bottom line, $90 to have someone tell you getting a new dishwasher to replace a 10 year old one. Lesson learned - if your dishwasher is too old, don't bother to fix it. read more
