I took my car in for the repairs and after 2 weeks the car still wasn't completed. They tried to complete it before closing on a Friday evening but... on the way home the car died. The shop refused to tow it back to fix it - the manager said "too bad". I'm left paying more than $8,000 dollars for a car that isn't completed?!? That's not the way a business should treat their customers - in my opinion. I can't recommend Accurate Auto to anyone that I know after this poor response to not completing the job. The staff was welcoming and made you feel like a friend! Daryl (the owner) is someone I felt in my heart was an honest wholesome man. And the technician (i believe his name was Dan) was very knowledgeable and didn't try to upsell me on a single thing. When I picked up my vehicle I was slightly nervous because we all know there's always some sort of bad news you hear after work is done. "This needs replaced asap, thats broken and will break down if not replaced soon" and quotes are prepared before you even show up. NONE of that occurred. I wasnt targeted to be upsold on a single thing. I didn't get the typical lecture of needing to spend hundreds of dollars in the near future. Dan told me everything checked out well, ran my payment and they both wished me a great evening! I came home and told my boyfriend if he ever needs work done he doesn't want to do, to take it there. Many things could cause this...Phil tried the obvious way to clear the light, didn't work. I had done some research myself and knew we were on the right track. Phil thought it was the thermostat, not letting the engine heat up enough for the DPF filter to work properly. Replaced thermostat. Cleared light after driving at speed, Audi runs great now; getting good gas mileage and DPF working as it should. Most places would have recommended replacing the DPF filter which is a huge expense and not necessary. Replacing the thermostat was a huge cost savings. Thank You Phil and Alex!
